Hey everyone. long time looker who decided to sign up. Old school toker started back in '76. I see a lot of ref. to maui when it comes to old school weed but does anyone remember kona gold or puna butter from back then?
I have been reading the revival of the ultimate sativa thread and i think for me the best smoke i have ever had was back in '77...columbian gold. I still remember the bag and the first joint i tried to smoke got maybe 2 hits off of it and remember my eyes rolling up into my head and after how much time had gone by trying to get into the front door of my house. I could put the key into the lock but couldn't turn it i was so out of it and now after 30 some years i have yet found anything that can compare to the high from those old strains. Ahhh...the memories of getting a 5 finger OZ for 30.00 or a quarter for 75. And for the youngins here a OZ back then was what we called a baggie that was stuffed with buds and was 5 fingers high across the bag, was way more than what a OZ should have weighed, but then again it was about getting high with friends not about trying to make money.
So I have rambled enough but just to sing a little song we used to sing back then (in the same way has row, row row your boat)
