Help!!!! my buds are FROZEN.....

Hi All...

I ran into a problem where i had to cut down all of my plants for safety reasons... Everything happend unexpectedly, so i really had no time to take all the plants into my house and trim...

I live in a very cold place, where we have had negative degree temperatures..

anyways, I had a garbage bag full of over 30 plants that I had to keep in my garage until i had the time to trim...

2 days later, i go to check on the garbage bag full of buds and they are covered in ice frost...

my question is:

how do i go about manicuring my buds when they are frozen and wet like they are now?

should I just manicure them while they are frozen, or should i try to dry them out and then dry?

im lost...

Let them thaw and manicure them as you would normally. You probably lost a little potency but I would just dry and cure them as normal. I would try not to handle them too much while they are frozen or you will loose lots of trics because they are brittle and will easily come off. Hope this helps

i guess i just freaked out and impulsively decided to write a thread to see if someone could post something good up.i actually took the time to think about it and realized that the buds were going to be wet anyways whether they were frozen or not.seeing a frozen bud just made me freak out

I hear you!!! I would freak out too if I notice that my thirty plant harvest has freezed Like suggested before.. Let it melt & dry it after melting, do the trimming after that :wink:

Btw.. Why would you store wet bud in garbagebag, just doesnt make sense! Thats quite solid way to destroy your crop with molds etc..

hmmm... aren't there several ways of producing hash that require frozen material? or using icewater to cool down and seperate the trics from plant-stuff?
haven't done yet, just read something and passing on... quite late, lokking of the date of ur post but now it's written so i'll send off the post anyway...

You imagine the amount of hash you could get from a 30 plant run!!! I've always wanted to do a hash-only run just to know what its like to deal with large quantities of hashish!

haha 3 months later, im here to answer your question.

i had them in a garbage bag because i had to do a quick chop of them all. and it was winter time, i had them in the garage, and they froze!

oh well, they all ended up drying very nicely and everyone enjoyed the buds...

dont let a frozen bud scare ya.
