good question,,,,and if you do,,, did you try 3g before 5g? If so big difference? I grow3g and gave debated whether to go 5g but have convinced myself the reward wouldn't be worth it unless i went to 7g......maybe im wrong i mean the amount of 5g vs 3g in a given space isnt that much less.....Question is....Is it worth it????

melting pot-lol actualy bro i have a hard tim sleeping anyways so it aint no biggie.but i never start gardening past 8 o'clock it can get to being 2-3-4 in the am by time im done if i wait too late to start,depending on what i run into in there.
yea the FAA is a giver bro,i have some runs of her goin too one in the cloner and one in veg gettin trained and what not.will be a few cycles till i bust them out in there.peace-T-
moses-wattup yo.i get my 5 gallon buckets free,always have so i have always used them...until recently when i got the tent,i use 3 gallon bags in there and yes i can see a difference,but theres also a big difference in watts too.i was thinkin of throwin a few in the room in 3 gallon bags to see what the difference is,but like the dog says 2 more gallons of root space is a beast for them.i hear about peeps sayin the wasted the medium by using 5 gallon pots,i never understood it.i get roots all the way down and sometimes even out the bottom of the bucket.the timing of ur transplant is pretty significant too i think.too soon and they will stall out nd too late and they will too.i like 5 gallon pots myself yo,.peace-T-

i keep the lights about 18-20 inches from the tops i would say.i never really measure them just put my hand there and see is it hot,if it is i rase it up some and get it comfy for the plant.peace.-T-

edit: after re-reading yer post T, I have ta say I was one of those people that had wasted space in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket..then I re-learned how to time my transplant, but by then I was using the 3 gallon size, and then we all know what happened next..

Yes as mentioned above the key would be timing. I transplant 5 days into 3g then flip to flower. I would need to give them 10-15 days or so in 5g to get adequate growth then flip them and they would fill from there.shit why am i guessing..T how long do you veg in them before flipping to 12/12?

moses-it depends to tell you the truth yo,i try to keep my veg room packed to capacity so it get to bein a play it as i go type thing sometimes yo....it usualy goes something like this...from the cloner to cups for 2-3 weeks,then to 1 gallon pots for like 20 30 days,after that they are really rooted in there so i can basicly take them out break up that nice rootball and transplant into 5 gallon pots and flip them the same day.the timing works out perfect for me and they are alwaya ready for the flip,trained well and topped with a nice veg period.theres always atleast 50-60in 1 gallon pots and the oldest 15 go in each time.
its a system that took me a while to get runnin smoothe but it works for me.

I know your gonna do justice to that mango no matter what. I got some more shit of this local grower dude from Philly.. This time he had some shit called 'Luna'..Ever heard of that strain? Its purple as shit and mad frosty as always. Imma have to look around for info on that one... I only get grams when I buy this shit.. This guy (imo) is a dick... He charges 75 a 1/8 for his shit... I just get a gram for 25 hahaha sucks but I dunno its good as hell. And makes for a nice treat while I smoke on the cheaper heads. Sorry Im babbling I smoked alot tonight. Peace for now bro

the last mango and the jilly bean is down.the jilly has some humongous colas ....under a shitload of leaves LOL...that girl is a beeeeeaaaaatch to trim yo.the mango was easy as hell as she been gettin a flush with just water and molasses for about 3 weeks now.the leaves were far and few between.i'll get some pics up in a lil while.i didnt take some while they was still up i just went in with the snippers edward scizzor hands style in the dark and hacked them down right fast....pics later.
