Intro & Nirvana Seed Thread

First, wanted to introduce myself, oldschool55. Really have enjoyed the many threads and posts, this site is a tremendous learning resource. Attached are a few pics from my indoor harvest using Nirvana seeds, the pics are Bubblelicious and AK 48. Plants grown in an outdoor shed, very challenging environmental conditions but things worked out pretty well. Plants were harvested on day 60, grown under 600w HPS with supplemental 42 w CFL's. Thanks to all for the great information, it really helped, combined with a few techniques I learned from outdoor grows some time ago.http://www.icmag.com/ic/album.php?albumid=1232

Welcome oldschool. Nice looking pics!! I just finished the AK-48 and was really happy/surprised with the potency. I was a little disappointed in the quality of the Afghan and White Widow but I did have heat issues with that grow. How did the bubblelicious turn out? Looks like a decent yeilder, how was the quality of the smoke? I have a pack of these I was thinking of trying out.

Both are still drying, but the little nugs taken during trimming are very good according to my wife. Unfortunately, I cannot sample due to employment status, (how ironic). My wife said the AK had a buttery taste and the bubblelicious tasted somewhat like juicy fruit gum! Hopefully I will get to sample once employment situation is resolved. Judging from the trimming both up, extremely resinous, wonderful fragrance, Both plants averaged 20-21" height x 19-20" width. Very large, extremely dense colas. Hard to say what the ultimate dry weight will be, but I am very impressed with both strains. In fact, I recently planted the remaining seeds, got 100% germ. I would recommend both strains, in fact, I kept one of the males and pollinated both plants, just found a couple seeds so I now have bubxbub and akxbub for future grows. Should have more data in 1-2 weeks once drying and curing is complete. My wife says the smoke quality exceeds anything we have purchased recently, and we have been buying top of the line smoke. I can't wait till I get to check it out!

I also had afghan seeds, poor germination, and then what did pop turned out to be male. Same with Shiva seeds, however my germ technique had complications. I just germinated remaining bub, AK and Shiva, had 100%, so I think I have it down now. Germinated in total darkness with a germinating heat pad, they all popped on day 3.

oldschool, sorry to hear about your employment status. The way the economy is we all could be worring about the same thing soon.

My Ak seemed to have more of a spicy/sweet aroma and taste. The potenecy sure is great on it though. The ak was kind of a filler for the grow tent. I did not spend much time or energy on it as I was growning some Wonder Diesel and Grapefruit X Blueberry that I was excited to try out.

Here is the my AK at about Day 53. I waited to long to transplant and she got a little root bound then put her into 12/12 just a few days after transplant so the yeild was terrible. I ended up harvesting at day 55 if I remember right.

Please keep us posted on how that bublelicious turns out. I have a pack of these and should be starting a new veg in about a month. I might have to try some of these out.

Oregon, appreciate your kind comments. I can't wait to gain employment again and get past any potential drug screening. Very difficult to look at the curing product and not be able to sample it. My wife is begging me to give her little nugs until fully cured, so each day I give her another sample, she tells me it continues to improve. I anticipate fully cured product by 2/22, guess I will have to use my wife as the proxy taster, I'll keep you posted.

Hey Oregon, how you doing? Great pic of the bub, looks like mine as it was maturing. I think you will be very pleased with the final product. My bub and AK are dried and cured, unfortunately, still cannot sample due to employment status. Very frustrating to have this fantastic product and not get to smoke it. My wife tells me it is better than any purchased product and still insists the AK is smooth with a "buttery" taste. The bubblelicious definitely has a juicy fruit like fragrance, my wife tells me it taste sweet and like gum. When i did the final trim and weight, if left a fantastic gooey bubble gum fragrance on my fingers. My fingers literally stuck together from the amount of resin.

Got the next crop of bub, AK and some remaining shiva seed, all Nirvana product. Also successfully crossed a male bub with the AK and female bub, so now getting bub x bub and bub x AK seed for next crop. It is all good, I am impressed with the Nirvana product. I have read quite a few threads, there price is very good and the genetic quality if very good. That being said, I ordered some other seed from that just arrived, Sadhu and hashberry from Mandala, and sunshine 2 from Hill temple collective. Figured it would be good to check out other vendors and maybe do some hybridizing with bub and Ak!!
