how I find out if my power supply is MH or HPS?

I have a 400w hps light and a 400w power supply for it.. the converter or how u call it.

It's not written anwywhere if it's MH or HPS

I haven't used it for 4 years so i completely forgot what is it...

The 400w light won't work then...

no i believe he does mean halogen.. why someone would need a halogen ballast is beyond me though

Are you sure you used that before?

It's definitely a halogen ballast (at least originally) and halogens are definitely not recommended for horticulture.

So.... 250w Halogen ballast will run a 250w HPS....... That's handy info :)
Who makes the best halogen lights? :)

Just a translation-"NatriumHochdrucklampe" is German for high pressure sodium.
I would not use halogen lights.
