Hey oaktree:wave:

Those plants are looking good. You have some nice tops, so you're gonna have some nice colas going. That 1 DSD looks like she'll be a real stretchy bitch!

Good luck with the cloning ops. You'll do fine, because there's only several tons of successful cloners out here to chime in with a nudge in the right direction if ya need!

Hey EatShitake thanks for stopping in, it's nice to see they're all putting out mini pom poms, we hope to take some clones soon. It would be nice to get it done in the next few says. We have to make a few adjustments to the set up for stink reasons. I think we could do a better job if we modify a few things. Update in a few days.

Day 21 of 12/12

DSD's

Biko II

And another Blue Sat 2.2 boy. This was a 12/12 seed

On the shelf has been taking good care of the ladies. nice frosting so far for only 21 days of 12/12. We're having high humidity problems, around 60%... does anyone have any suggestions for keeping it down? without using a de-humidifier? DSD's smell like candy... still no clones yet, but they'll be coming soon. Better to clone now? or will it not matter if we wait another week or two? Also does anyone have any suggestions on pruning? we're trying to maximize light in the small space and pruning back some leaves would allow for some light to reach the bud sites just bellow the canopy. Also would it be okay to trim off all the bottom branches that would be popcorn nug? We want to try and stress that plants as little as possible and i'm unsure whether or not doing things like pruning leaves and eliminating bottom branches as well as cloning would induce too much stress. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks ICers

only a few ways to remove humidity, either more fan, dehumidifier or some of that powder that takes moisture out of air.

when is lights on? flip it so that light is on during night time when its colder and make sure to run fan 24/7 should be a bit better then running during day.

fan may not help.. it will just blow around the humid air, you would need a small ceramic heater (it blows dry air) or a dehumidifier or like marley said some of that damp rid stuff. only other thing would be more ventilation also. you have fans and carbon scrubbers venting out of the room? you might try leaving them on longer if they are not already.

 hi Marly and Endo

We have a dehumidifier set up outside the closet. humidity remains around 60%... we have the intake blowing right under the plants now and a fan blowing from above... also we're already running the closet at night and intake, exhaust and fan are running 24/7... i guess maybe we'll try some of that damp be gone stuff.

Day 28 of 12/12

Day 28 of 12/12

Almost a month into 12/12 but not quite there yet. They're looking good so far, closets becoming a little cover crowded. The tiny Biko II looks like it's slowly being covered by the rest of the plants who have far surpassed the little lady. The lanky DSD seems as if it's stopped stretching. The other DSD's lare doing very well too. Biko II's are progressing nicely... really not much to update except for pic's. Humidity is down to 55%. Clones were taken about a week ago and they look to be okay so far. No roots as of yet but they don't look like they're dying so i guess that's a good thing. Ontheshelf has done an exceptional job maintaining the set up :rasta: Anyway onto some pic's

Thanks endo, yea still a bit of time to go... at least 6 more weeks i'd say, But hopefully time will fly! probably have updates once a week. Try and make the next one on day 35.. anyone have any suggestions for Bloom nutes/ additives? Out of the general hydroponics nutes so we're looking for something else and maybe some other nutes to help out... If anyone knows of anything that really helps we'd be glad to hear about it. Thanks all.

Peace.

Hey oaktree & ontheshelf!

Been away for a bit like I said elsewhere, but things are looking good over here! Did you take the clone cuts after 12/12? If so, don't worry too much about the roots, they'll just take a little longer if you clipped after the flip.

If you're still after bloom nutes, I gotta give a plug for the FloraNova. Everytime I recommend them I feel like I'm trying to get an endorsement deal or something :D Easy as pie, you won't NEED to mess with additives if you don't want, but they leave room for playing around if you're so inclined. Budget friendly, too.

Right on, man. I'll check out the update in a few, but keep it up, cuz things sure are looking good!

Hey Eatshitake! the clones are taking a little more time then we thought, still no roots but i think its been 2 weeks so i guess it'll take a little longer. I saw somewhere it may take 3 weeks to a month before they root if they were taken after the flip. Anyway we're on day 37 or 12/12 right now, and today i do not have any pictures... so sorry, hopefully next time. Ontheshelf bought some carbo load the other day... anyone familiar with it? other then that, thats all we're going to really add besides the other basic nutes. The plants are doing well, the DSD's are really bulking up, Bikos are a little slower but they look good. One of the DSD's is putting on a nice heavy frost, hopefully we'll have an update with pics soon. One of the Bikos looks like it might have a slight nute burn, but not completely sure yet. Thats about all to report so far, still looking at about 4 to 5 weeks left but i think it'll be nice when it's all done, hopefully looking forward to some nice size nugs.

Peace

Wow man just scrolled through your post...and it looks awesome...I am just waiting on some slow beans to get going in rockwool and I might be having some issues but its too early to tell.

Cheers keep on growing

A sad day... a lot of the plants were pollenated with one of the Blue Sat. 2.2 males from early on in the grow... i don't know how, i think there might have been some pollen floating around in the room from when some of the pollen sacks burst when they just started to show male flowers. Anyway one of the Biko II's is pretty well seeded and so is a DSD, other then that the other biko has a few seeds going and there are probably a few seeds in the other DSD's, for now it looks like the nicest looking lady has been spared impregnation so far, but we shall see. Anyway it's a little sad because we'll have some seeded bud but on the plus side the clones have rooted but now we need to get them in something, think we're going to try and get them into soil asap. Flush will start next week...

Day 44 12/12

Think this is a DSD with a lil seed popping out

Biko II

DSD

The clones... looking kinda sad

Well hopefully the buds not too seedy but it's not looking good for the most part. Update in a week or so. anyone thing we'll still get some decent smoke? even with the seeds?

Peace

donatello22 thanks for the compliments, if you germed the seeds out in the rockwool it'll take some time... we had the same problem

Hey Eatshitake everything was going great up until we started to notice seeds... at least we have some clones as of now, hopefully we'll get the transplanted and we can try this again.

dreaded the DSD's stretch a bit, when we run them again from the clones were probably only going to veg 2 weeks then try and pull of a sog or something

Aww man, sorry to hear :badday: :badday: :badday:

But the bright side is...you've got a bunch of seeds of a couple custom crosses! You never know- this could be your accidental dynamite!

Good luck man. Now you know what to do with those clones.

Hey EatShitake, yea thats what i was hoping :rasta: the accidental cross that leads to magic, but i'm also hoping that there's some smokeable bud in there otherwise it feels like 4 to 5 months down the drain... well not completely i guess since we did manage some clones out of it. Let just hope they make it till we can get them in some kind of medium, i'll continue to keep things posted, i'm pretty sure they'll be at least some bud without seeds...

Peace

Oh hell yeah, it's smokable! :D Call it private reserve, as it won't look right in a baggie, but you'll have some nice jars. Give 'em the full cure and everything. I'm sure you won't be that disappointed.

Hey oak....well my worst suspicions have been confirmed. After growth came to a halt in the paper towel they never got any further. After more than a week the two that had shown good taproots are shrivelled and dead and the other three which popped have shown no progress.

Could you share your exact methodology with me? It would be much appreciated.

Cheers
