baba - That stuff looks amazing. I feel a little higher just looking at it
Oops, I had fed them 1/2 tsp Grow Big not 1/2 Tbl. They responded just fine to the nutes with ZERO burns. I swear they grew more the 8 hours after feeding than like 36 after that. They are now on their 1st day of flower. They all will need watering tomorrow and I could really use some advice at whipping up a nice cocktail for them!

If I was to do it right now, here is what I would do.

All per gallon - 1/2 tsp Grow Big 6-4-4, 1/2 Tbl Big Bloom 0.01-.3-.7, 1/2 tsp Tiger Bloom 2-8-4, and 1/4 tsp Open Sesame 5-45-19.

Temps 68-78F about 2 inches bleow canopy.

Bubble Gum Indica/Sativa phenos

Thanks for the compliments, guys. Yeah it looks nice, but it feels strange. Whenever I handle a chunk with my bare hands, it leaves a grittiness to my fingers, like really fine sand particles. It must be trichs stuck to my skin, so I think ill need some sort of spatula or scoop to handle them.

Dontstep: I think I put way too much in; for 5 gallon bags they say you can put up to 200grams in. I didnt weigh mine, but it was the equivalent of 3 gallons of trim. If i were you, I wouldnt put more than a gallon and a half of trim in.
The different types I got were 160u, 75u and 20u. The 75 and the 20 are the best, the 160 I havent smoked yet cause it looks full of green particles, so definitely lower quality. Might still be good though.
My yield sucked cause I only ran it once, should have run it twice but I could barely stir it the first time so i said screw it. If I knew then what i know now, I would have run it again. :rasta:
I don't know how much I got, I didnt weigh it, im sure its not a lot, a couple grams at most? So maybe yield was like 1%? Which is nuts, because they say yield off of buds or really sugary trim should be closer to 10%. Ah well. A lot of that trim wasnt all that frosty, so maybe i didnt waste that much, I hope.
It doesnt take much to get me good, so even the little I got I think will smoke me out for a good 3-4 weeks if i take a little bit at a time. Smoking bigger bowls of this would undoubtedly make me useless (as well as make me really really happy) but then it would be gone in a few days...

Catman: I did a title search in the grower's forum for 'fox farm', came up with 4 pages of hits. Here's one:
http://icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=49604&highlight=fox+farm
They say, in general, keep those measurements at or under a TS per gallon and you shouldn't overfert. But definitely make sure you're giving them enough for adequate growth, you dont want to cheat yourself out of yield either....

baba - i use razor blades and a smooth surface to handle my oil, maybe that would also work for your bubble. that way none is wasted on your fingers. as long as u have 2 razors you can always recover material stuck to them.

i have about 2 1/2 oz. of bud and maybe 3/4 oz. of trim to throw in, so hoping to get like 7-8 grams? we shall see... the bud being used is seeded, otherwise i'd be curing and smoking it as usual. i'm also using a 5 gal, 4 bag system

Razor blades! I love it. Now I'll get a mirror so i can cut up lines of hash. :rasta:
I think you would have to run it at least twice to get 7-8 g. If your second run gives good results, I'd keep running it till it's no longer worth it.

What kind of seeds did you get?

I fed with the cocktail I said in my previous post, but with only 1/6 tsp of Open Sesame. 24 hours later and no signs of any burns! I think I'll nute with every watering so I'll keep the amounts constant for a bit.

I sure think so.

I'm probably a little extra ecstatic because this is my first time flowering :]

I had vegged some plants indoor last summer to about 2-3 feet and moved them out doors...only for them to be flooded!

Catman: Nice looking plants! This looks like a microcab. Such an efficient use of space! What's with the CFL in the corner? Just to get a little more light to that corner?
Man, those rains last year killed a lot of midwest outdoor plots. That was an anomaly, i'm sure this year will be fine if you decide to try it again. Gotta love those outdoor yields! There are people in Cali who will stay within the max plant count allowed but they'll grow these enormous bushes on their land. At full size, each bush is big enough for 3-4 people to hide behind. That's when you know you'll need help trimming...

This tub of NYCD clones (and maybe a Flo or two in there) has been vegging for about 2-3 weeks and they're pretty big now, they've overgrown the scrog screen. When I do flip the closet back to 12/12, I'm going to have to hit these with a shot of Phosphoload cause they're already as tall as I want to have them; I'm actually hoping they dont grow as fast now because I dont want to raise the light much farther.
This is the first time I've vegged a clone in a while and I miss how fast they veg out in DWC. This makes me consider buying a growtent of some sort to have a separate HID area for veg... I'm sure this would do wonders for my yield.

Woohoo! Lights literally just came on for me!

I have the CFL in the corner because my fan blocks the direct rays from the bulb. The best part of my cab unfortunately can't be experienced with pictures. My computer with a low speed 92mm and 120mm fans with 80mm on the power supply is noticeably louder than my entire cab. The secret is that black thing blocking my light! I'm doing my damnedest to make use of every inch it has to offer.

Last summer was brutal for out door growing. No exaggeration, 2-3 weeks would pass with ZERO rain followed by 2 weeks of NON-STOP rain.

Looks like you could even use a screen or two more for them clones baba!

I got some LST work to take care of... I really hope this Sativa BG slows down because I'd like to avoid training just to see it's normal structure. Its grown 3 inches over the last 3-4 days.

All the talk about drought and constant rain... hell, I'd take that over this Snow we got right now!

What's up midwest? I hope everyone is doing fine out there, by the looks of it it's just that :joint:

I've recently transplanted the finest looking hashberry f2 and the lone sdog into larger pots, because of their size I had to limit the number to 2, and there's absolutely no room in the veg box now.

I also went to a home improvement store to look for some more supplies for the box, pretty much the pvc elbows and a 4" hole saw. When I was looking at the pvc elbows it was clear the 2" holes I've drilled wont fit a pvc coupling/pipe and still be 2" of air flow space inside, talk about duh! I should have made 'em 2.5" when I originally drilled the holes. But because of their current location I can't resize. Luckily I think I find 2" inside diameter 90 degree elbows and glue them in place. I originally wanted a bit of pvc pipe or a coupling going through the holes which the elbows would be attached. So they would be securely anchored to the coupling which is also to the bottom of the cab. But it's this or 10 total 2" holes for the same passive intake as the 4" exhaust.

Anyhow, on to the pictures of the remaining 2 hopefuls. They were just recently transplanted out of tiny 16oz cups which weren't even full in the first place, to these much larger pots, not sure on the size but probably about half-gallon. Despite being in such small containers for so long they weren't root bound, plenty of nice healthy looking non-matted roots. These first 2 shots are of the lone JLP SDxOG F2, clearly a OG kush dom pheno with this one. The second shot is to show the compact nodes and little branching.

And the last series of photos is the the better looking hashberry F2 I decided to keep. I topped it awhile ago and it just looked like it responded better than pinching and leaving it be, so this is the one I've kept.

So here is what I've done. The trainwreck and blueberry that were gifted to me were in soil in plastic cups. The plants were in peat in soil in the cups. I took one of the trainwrecks, and pulled the peat out of the cup. I took a 5 inch net pot and put the peat in it surrounded by rockwool pellets. All that is in a bubbling bucket, and put it in my flower cabinet.

I toyed with going soil, but everything I've done has been in a bucket.

With one of the blueberry's, I filled the bottom of a 44 oz styrofoam cup with rockwool cubes, and set the soil from the plastic cup in on top. I then filled the sides with rockwool cubes, and set this in the flower cabinet as well.

I also took the tops off a well developed trainwreck and blueberry and started clones.

I've never done soil. Is a 44 oz. cup large enough to take a plant through flower?

I'm a week away from chopping a bagseed plant, about a month or so on the 5 NLXBB, and still months away from my perpetual harvest.

Hopefully someone will weigh in on my soil vs. bucket issue.

Would like to introduce myself to MURDA, repping chicago burbs. Long time smoker, wannabe grower. I have a buddy with a few plants set up in soil in his closet. "Our" first grow. They look and smell absolutely wonderful. Just starting to show sex and 3 of the 6 look to be showing female already. He can't wait for them to finish growing. I'm jealous of him, I want to grow so bad but I have a really nosy landlord.

Dontstep: Ideally I would like two tents and a room big enough for all growing related activities. Which would probably be at least a 12x12 room, preferably 20x20 for bigger tents...

Catman: That's pretty impressive, if your microcab is quieter than a PC. If it's lightproof, you may be able to have it near your PC and it'll blend into the PC noise. You could market this to college kids in dorm rooms: look, grow a half o a month!

Lost: Nice shots of the plants. My SDOGs look similar, short and squat and wider than tall. Basically like any other indica dominant plant (im guessing), but ive mostly had sativa dom plants so this is new to me...
So these elbows are going to be the passive intake for this cab? And do you need less than 10 of them? And you used elbows because you wanted the intake to be light-sealed?

DIX: I dont know about putting the peat right into rockwool. I tried putting a clone rooted in a peat pellet in a netpot with hydroton and the clone never ended up thriving. It grew like another 6 inches and basically stopped, although it did bud but not very big.
There may have been other issues that caused it to be stunted so I cant say for sure whether peat in rockwool will/won't work, but I'd like to know if it does. If it's still the same size after a week then it's probably not working. :joint:

Chairlock: Sounds like you need to move!

A new toy I got: a Hakko soldering iron. I unscrewed and took off the metal sheath, revealing the ceramic heating element. In the background is another soldering iron; I'm using it's stand to hold the Hakko, because this particular model doesn't come with its own stand.

Baba: Yeah, they are passive intakes for to prevent light leaks. I can get by with the 6 I have so long as the interior dimensions of the elbows are 2". It would have to be 10 of the 2" holes if I put a coupling the elbows can attach to through the hole, thus reducing the actual interior dimensions to probably ~1.5". I'm trying for about 20% extra the 4" exhaust, according to this thread.

I had to top the sdog today, there was just the slightest bit of burning on one of the youngest leaf tips from the light. Also trimmed up the hashberry since it was also getting too tall and touching the lights.

if i stay in this same place, i'll have a nice perpetual going. otherwise i'll be able to squeeze in a few extra plants on the next 3 week cycle.

im not doing too bad, but had to chop some plants prematurely due to hermie tendencies (not running them anymore) so got a couple gaps in perpetual...

Hey babba,

My cab actually does sit 3 feet from my computer and blends in perfectly :]

And... I'm expecting more like 1-1.5 o per month, hehe.
