BeAn's Grow Cabinet..

BeAn

Ok, so its a new year...new grow, the cabs there, just an empty shell at the moment..weather permitting im off to maastricht this weekend for my birthday, then its on with building. :D

Its going to be a 2 stage veg/flower cabinet, aircooled 250w in the top with vertical flouro tubes, with fresh air bieng sucked through the veg area on the bottom, lit by more flouro's..the plan is to keep mums downstairs, as we're gonna be growing mostly sativas, im gonna use the stretch to make the plant, flowering them from 12" clones, in a sorta perpetual style..:yeahthats

First up is NepJamBx1, and BangiHaze..maybe Congo if the few beans i sprout turn out female, next year ill sprout some Mazar-I-Shariff, Uzbek(CBG) and DeepCongo to find a sativa male to make DC F2's, Uzbek x DeepCongo, Maz x DC and hopefully the nepjam/BH/Congo keepers from this year will be mated with the D.Congo male for a Congo Bx and some nice mostly sativa lines with chunkyness...(Panama x DeepCongo maybe somwhere down the line, a mate promised me any males he finds..)..this year its all about sativa, combining Leb27 with the NJ, Congo & BH. :D

Lost my camera so no pics till i get a new one, will update soon with words...Bless up.:rasta:

This cab will have supplimentry lighting verticaly along the walls, the penetration of the HPS has fcked my yield in the past, a few 3' plants with one or 3/4 big buds in the top 6", the rest popcorn.:yeahthats

Congo

GENETICS: Bangi X ( Congo #3 / Chitral ) 75% Sativa / 25 % Indica

This delicious African hybrid combines the Bangi Congo which is a rare African landrace almost extinct with fast flowering and small height, the Congo #3 which is another electric Congolese with strong energetic high, and a bit of Chitral Indica to reduce its height and final flowering.
STRUCTURE: Medium height.
BOUQUET: The aroma is as sweet as honey with delicate and fresh floral details.
POTENCY: Premium quality energetic high, perfect for an active life.
FLOWERING: 10-11 weeks. 2nd half of October.
YIELD/M2: High
GROW TYPE: Indoors/Outdoors

We have been breeding with 3 different congolese sativa the past years at ACE Seeds.
We combined 2 congoleses ( Bangi congo and Congo# 3) in our Congo hybrid and a third one which was used for Bangi Haze (congolese x nepalese hybrid).

Pure congolese sativa usually grows tall, bushy with thin stems. The flowering time is around 14 weeks or a little bit longer. Their flowers have a sweet/floral/honey bouquet with earthy and spicy details. The high is powerful, clean, uplifting and euphoric. First class sativa effect, elegantly focused.

An exception to classical tall Congolese sativas is the Bangi Congo. It’s a pure sativa like her tall sisters, but grows smaller and with a shorter flowering time of 10-11 weeks.
It’s a little bit less potent than the long flowering Congolese.

Kaiki, one of our breeders, has been experimenting with the high quality long flowering Congolese sativa, called as Congo #3 the past 4 years. Congo #3 was crossed with a pure chitral Pakistan indica. Chitral reduces the flowering time and size of the Congolese but without being very dominant in high or aromas. He inbred the F1 hybrid sativa/indica to the F3 step, selecting only the best compact and fast flowering strong phenos with the best congolese influence in the finished product. The Congolese x Chitral inbred line is called ‘Conchi’.

Then we used a fast flowering and compact Bangi Congo female and pollinated her with the best F3 Conchi ( Congo #3 x Pakistan) males.

The result is a Congolese dominant sativa hybrid which grows compact and flowers in only 10-11 weeks. The colas are totally sativa but they have high bud density, high resin production and a very high/flower leaf ratio. The sweet, floral congolese aromas and the high quality euphoric high are on the congolese side, but accentuated by hybrid vigour.

BangiHaze:
Bangi haze is a stabilized congolese x nepalese hybrid. She has been bred in a very wet and cloudy climate in north of Spain (43ºN). She's is very mold resistant and has good adaptability to cold climates. Some breeding steps were done indoors. She's an easy to grow columnar sativa with great indoor adaptability.FLOWERING: 9-10 weeks. End September/ Early October.
PRODUCTION / M2: Middle-high
GROW TYPE: Indoor/outdoor. All climates.

NEPALESE JAM

GENETICS: Nepalese X (Nepalese X Jamaica ’85). 100% Sativa
Nepalese is a strong and compact highland sativa with fast flowering and good resistance to cold climates. Its dense and resinous flowers produce a first class hash. The Nepalese female was pollinated with a Jamaican male to increase vigour and yield, maintaining the Nepalese sativa behaviour.
STRUCTURE: small- medium size. Columnar growing. Ideal for small grows.
BOUQUET: Intense and seductive fruity aroma.
POTENCY: Its clean and intense high lasts hours and hours.
FLOWERING: 9-10 weeks. End of September / Early October.
PRODUCTION / M2: High
GROW TYPE: Indoor/Outdoor, ideal for warm and cold climates.

Some descriptions to save searching back through the Ace forum again and again...

BuzzedDay, thanks for dropping in...the weeds in the top drawer as usual, help yourself to a blunt or two..:D

K.J. Dude, pull up a chair n light up a phattie!!:D:yes:

M@rg, yeah i know man...thats the highland vibe, gets cold n shitty up dem mountains...:D...these lines are some of the best sativa's out there, the dutch shit gets samey samey...the Spanish people have THE best collection of African sativa's, bar the Africans...cept the Africans are spread over a massive bit of land, Spain is a small place in comparison and the people can get genes from one side of the country to the other in no time in the present day. Long live LMN.:respect:

This country is tiny, genes move around from John o groats to landsend everyday, the NepJam are no different(NepJam F3's are gound round in certain circles already according to Dubi)...:D:yes:

Heya Bean

Another sativa lover here, just making myself confortable after finding the right spot to skin up :D

Yeah, the Spanish seedbanks have some good african stuff, adding sativa where the Dutch used indica. I guess it's related to the outdoor conditions, and what works on each side. There're some other good african banks out there: Mandala, Afrotips and many more.

Best of lucks with your endabours, growing them sats in small spaces ain't easy, but it can be done. Aside from space, light intensity is what they like most.

Take care!

Dude, glad your here...skin up n make a brew.:D:yes:

Yeah i hear ya, the climate of Spain is ideal...the Dutch climate is like ours, cold n wet most of the year...light intensity, i have only a 250w, the 400 was too powerfully and bleached my first few plants tops(they looked indica and smelt of nothing), the haze type grew really well close to the light though..:chin:...i think that the Ace sativa's will be ok, the first seeds we planted (2004/05) had come from bagseed, one plant was a near pure sativa for sure(at least in phenotype), smelt of lemons big time and had a stupefying high, the first hit from the plant, i remember hitting the hurricane with a semi-dry piece of bud, and still kneeling on the floor after staring at the wall for 15 minutes or there abouts..complete thought overload, it was dubbed the Lemonade Haze. It was grown from a cut taken from the original seed-plant(flowered in a half full pot, same one it was in from the start, didn't know you had to re-pot..:pointlaug) this time in a very large pot, brought in from outside to finish in the cab(cant remember if it had flowered already with the natural photo period or not, this was before i had a camera or discovered OG) Still got S1's(or S2's maybe) in a baggie somewhere, a couple went outside more recently(post OG, in my old diary i think) and both finished in December after about 3 frosts with about 20 individual Calyx on each plant lol...

Little bit of history for the new thread..:yeahthats

Afropips, i got the mini malawi...split the pack with a buddy and later on my fridge/freezer filled with melted ice and germinated/rotted half my stash..haha, still got the Nigerian though....Mandala mike is one of the good ones, Satori i wanna try..got ThaiTanic x Satori which may be very good..Thai does present some worries for me, being known as the wildest/uncontrollable of the genetics offered from most seedbanks..(Zamal/African probably coming 2nd?:chin:)...but since the Revival of the Ultimate Sativa Thread, and the R.U.S grow thread, which both Ive followed since finding them on here after OG, it seems the sativa indoor grower has more tricks up dem sleeve than first thaught...root restriction, 12/12 from seed, holding back on the Nitrogen from the pre-stretch onwards, 11/14 regime...etc etc...sativa in a cab doesnt seem that daunting now, a few years into growing.

We will see though, learnt not to count chickens with the Apollo13 project...hehe.:fsu:

Keep it hella frosty..:rasta:

The Veg area is nearly complete, got lights in there but no ballast, need a new one...soon as i get one i can start some beans. :woohoo:

Im thinkin growing the Congo will take up lots of room, not sure whether they will show sex before they get big...but LST + topping, combined with flowering from small clones will help, need to establish mother/father plants soon as poss.:D

Hoping that from 3 or 4 seeds of each line will give me one of each sex at least, sprouted some SSH f2 on my windowsill to cure the itch somwhat, they popped up yesterday..hehe.:joint:

Been filling in gaps with decorators crack filler, need to hang the light/filter/ducting, run the cables, make it airtight(hardest part)..then we almost ready to go...:yeahthats

Till next time..:rasta:
