hehe :D

the dip method is fun - but only usefull for smaller plants. D

You'd be surprised what will fit in a 5 gal bucket if you corkscrew the plant into the bucket. Atleast i was.

Hope that insecticide works, im done paying high money for insecticides, the fact is i cant keep my areas clean enough, i recycle coco, they will always return.

this way i am able to control them, and very rarely get any in flower anymore. always go into the flower room and finish work there before moving to the veg area. this way if they are in veg, i wont carry them into flower by accident.

There are alot of insecticides, but i feel none of them are safe enough for my health, my lady & my dog's. So i stray from hard core insecticides.

the product im going to get, the main component of it, is also used in MANY cat and dog veterinary products for deparasiting.. so it seems cool :D

anyway - since i managed to go thru all last flowering round without taking almost any pics.. here are what there is - ill take more pics next round :D if i dont get too stoned again hehe :D

FUUUK ... the new picture upload is just PLAIN DISGUSTING... but i think i got the hang of it... first upload to gallery - then post :D

SSH/PTK x cascadia - hope she revegs - funny carrot flavoured nugs. nice smoke :D one of my better crosses

dry sieve :D

at vends place - plants got taken outside to pimp up some details in the growroom... the plants anyway been taken out on sunny days - and on some rainy too :D they are loving it :D

got 2 males close by outside - so from now on i dont think the plants should be taken out more untill they are polinated and the males taken away... the males are of the SSH/PTK x PTK. nice material for our project...

jaggen - chunky early on :D we are just about 3-4 weeks into flowering :D

amnesia haze - very sativa and very nice build up coming on.. looks like its gonna be productive :D

SSD - compact indica dominant :d

SSH/PTK x PTK - there is two other ones that are very close to the SSH ptk in looks - ill take pics of them an other day... these two are the 2 most columnar and PTK based in growth. they are just entering flowering and its going to be fun to see how they continue developing..

one third crap pheno is at my place - its super small but resinous - but one of those 6g a plant phenos.. just a stick with a nug not much more.. hehe :D these at vends place look more interesting :D

closer look on the compact pheno.

today i got some abamectine :D soon i will spray again - i dont see any dead mites any more so the last spraying has finally put the last bugs out of their misery... but to make sure its all gonna be safe for a while i will spray anyway soon.

also today i been for a few hours pruning and tying the plants - i really liked the last harvest so im going to continue trimming down the plants a lot - and also i think i prefeer a few big nugs to several smaller - so i have cut away some smaller branches..

all in all its all started to look nice again after the mite atack..

i notice a great difference in the plant roots - because its all sticking out fat roots all over the bottom of the pots and the plants got transplanted only about 2 weeks ago.. so i think the regular rhizotonic use is GOOD. just gotto watch the dosage - canna recomends 5 ml per 10 liter for adult plants - it sure seems to be a good measure :D

peace all!!

a few crappy pics - couldnt get bothered to take the plants out of the HPS room.

not that many flowering plants at the moment...

but here we go;

a not so productive - but VERY dense and stinky pheno of SSH/PTK x PTK - this one is much less productive than the two more vigorous short dense ones, and the two very vigorous tall phenos..

unknown resin monsters, quite productive... could be alibi f2 - there is 2 - they got similarities but also differencies in phenotypes. - one is a bit more resinous than the other..

unknown sativa dominant not so interesting cross.. smelly.. could end up a surprise...

tomorow its time to go check up on the other location..

One Qs bone, When do you bring out those plants in the garden? Do you have a spring harvest?

Thank you crack

:D we are not really flowering outside at the moment - so the harvests we are getting now are from indoors :D the plants are just taken outside on sunny days :D just to enjoy spain to max if you know what i mean :D happy plants give happy buds :D

i hope some day flower outside most of the year - but i will have to sort out a greenhouse etc for that :D

had a huge ice hash session today :D

got out more ice hash than i have ever seen before.

the screen - 305 TPI works great to collect the trichs. far better than the collection bag in our crappy setup.

i feel like making BHO and mixing it all in for some jelly hash.. but got no more material untill next harvest.

peace! :D

Congrats on the plentiful trichome harvest... :yummy:

The garden's looking great, all the girls seem to be happy to me! Solid genetics... SSH/ PTK x PTK is a thick one... :smoke:

fantastic budshow there mate, daaamn i wish i was there with u guys for the ice hash session. some of that hash under the spanish sun sounds heaven to me about now here in the northern winter :wallbash:

k+ u guys got it goin on bro! :D

bonecarver_OG

:D hehe

the ice hash session got a bit messed up hehe i used all trim i had - about 600grams - and i had it all in one go in my bag... and it didnt really get well extracted.

so ver y soon im going to make some oil from the dried trim. there is still a lot of visual trichomes left.. so i expect a good amount

peace!

hehe so many buzy days latelly... been working in the garden since we have had almost summer like temps.. thats nice for february huh?? hehhe

there is a new round of plants and some older sativas finishing off in the flowering room, and the other day a friend picked up 20x of 40cm tall clones - so rigth now i dont have a overwhelming amount of work :D

im planning to do a oil session using foodgrade 96% ethanol on the coming days. i ordered the alcy and i got everything prepared - just waiting.....

the material of the icehash session is very resinous and there is about 600grams of it so i hope for a good amount fo oil!

peace!!

Hola bonecarver_OG!

...im planning to do a oil session using foodgrade 96% ethanol on the coming days. ...

I found a link on ethanol wash in Spain connection  .

A clean ethanol extraction (meaning without chlorophyll) is done by submerge the plant material in the solvent and shaking 1-2 min, filtering… this is enough. If it is shacked more time, you start to get some chlorophyll.

I suppose test on re-hydration before ethanol will be also useful.

hydrating once again all that now dry material is gonna be a pain in the ass - BUT i will make tests - everything is worth the trouble if the end results get better :D

i gotto look into the best way to humidify the material. since i have allready prepared the jars i was going to use - it should be quite easy to just mist inside the jars while i stir the material around.

the question is if there is any benefit from using distilled water to tapwater for humidifying..

im going to prepared a filter with a very fine mesh i got.

the method i am going to use is like this;

i got 8-9 jars with 3 dl of volume of fine trimings from the ice has session.

i will use 0,5 liters of ethanol that i pour into one jar - shake for 1-2 minutes, then pour the same ethanol into an other jar with material, repeat and pour into next one - untill the ethanol has passed thru all jars. then i filter it once again thru an coffee filter before pouring into the evaporation tray.

i might or might not do a second wash for a shorter amount of time - to see if anything will come out of that.

im particularly considering there is a risk during the wash of the last jars - the ethanol will be too loaded with resin/oil, and hence it will cover the trim with a fine layer of oil.

maybe it is better to use the same alcohol for only a few jars.... and change to an other clean alcohol for every 2-3 jars..

to do one big soak i think will be less effective and also on top i would have to use a bigger amount of alcohol. preferably i want to use the alcohol for more than one session/occasion.. maximum i want to use 1 liter per session. i need to make sure this ethanol method doesnt get more expensive in comparison to butane.

anyway - thanks for the input mate! :D

peace

bonecarver_OG

ok :D

a few years back i got the ssh x ptk from cloneman - well - i think its about 5-6 years or so..

i have crossed her once to PTK and now we are crossing the outcome back to sshxptk. we are using two males that are very similar, both resinous and very purple in colder temps.

we are now basicly in the second stage of the project - and from now on i think it is going to start get interesting.

just to show how complicated its getting; here is a crappy scetch

female ssh x ptk in blue - males in green

basicly the idea is to cross back the outcome to the keeper mom in infinity - but in time when we get one original PTK MALE we will use that male in one generation to polinate the outcome - and then keep crossing back to the old mom.

hopefully it wont get inbreed in a bad way - rather we hope the selection is working on bringing out a sshxptk that has thru-going even results. who knows where it all will go.

this far the cross is expressing it self in 2 different phenos. we want to eliminate if possible the very short PTK dominant phenos, and keep the most vigorous and biggest yielding phenos. potency and flavour must remind or be stronger than the moms.
