How small can you go? Post your tiny containers!

Hello everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster.

Just wondering how small of a container you've used for this wonderful medium. I'm running a few 32 oz yogurt cups in B'Cuzz using H3ad's modified lucas (as my first coco escapade) and I'm lovin' it! Still a few weeks out so no yield numbers yet.

Like the title says, throw up your smallish containers!

^^ That plant is from seed with a 2.5 wk veg under 400w sharing a 2x3 with 7 others of the same strain in the same containers, and 5 big gals in 1 gallon pots.

C'mon people! Post the smallest containers you've run. Let's see what a coco sog can do! :headbange

Thanks, Catman! No, just once a day for everyone is fine. Those are comin' down in 2 weeks, so I'm stoked needless to say.

BTW, I'm in the midwest too! Hint: it's 39 right now at 1:20! Beautiful day :woohoo:

I grow all my plants in small containers, not quite as small as yours though. I use .5 gallon square pots... very impressive plant man.

Right on BR! Thanks a lot man, and I mean it truly. I've read a ton of your stuff along with your OGA bros and it's an honor. Keep in mind I am a bit wasted drunk right now, so... Thanks for stoppin' by!

Post your half gallons, mang! Please? lol

Yeah there was a shot glass grow contest a while back, The Wild Eep, no prob man... probs where props are due. It's hard to have good success with small containers, their are many more restrictions that you just don't have with large containers. For me it's space restrictions. I run a lot of strains searching for the right stock for oga seed stock, the small pots just makes more sense.

Happy - Yeah but I'm talking about efficient use of space, not novelty like the 1 oz'ers. Thanks for checkin out the thread!

BR - I know exactly what you mean, variety is the spice of life, and ALWAYS searching. Post some shots of your garden if you've got time

Fellas, I'm new here and just wanted to break the ice a bit. I'm encouraging everyone to post pics of their container size... And yes, I know it's been done before but this coco section isn't exactly "happenin" enough to disallow repeats :nanana:

Fuckin' amazing, BR, both the plants and photography!! :headbange

Care to share a few tips about how you setup your shots?

How low are your night time temps?

Yes Eep, the weather was been nice these past 2 days :]

I grow Micro style and I would have gone with Coco, but I wanted to be able to go as long as possible without watering just to be safe :] I'll probably experiment down the road with mixing in with the soil.

The size of that plant in that container makes me laugh every time, haha.

Beautiful pictures BR!

Catman - Yeah man today was even better here. 47! WTF?! lol

Regardless of the watering frequency, I'd say go with the coco, mang! I'm becoming quite the cocovangelist since my switch from Pro-Mix/LCs. Even though being in the midwest I have to drive 3 hours (each way) to get B'Cuzz. lol

Thunderkel is doin a coco mix. Following his work?

To be honest I think the Micro grower would be the style to benefit the most from coco, above any other. Dude I can fit 40 1 Quarts in a 6 sq ft spot under a 400. At a conservative estimate of 10 grams per plant, that's a gram per watt, man, Note: this is speculation as I've only got 8 in the quarts, not the possible 40, oh and the fact they aren't even chopped yet! lol, so take it with a grain of salt is what I'm saying...

That I am, I use Black Gold Coco Blend and it's pretty nice and OMRI listed if you wanted to go organic with it. It's 50% peat and the rest is coco coir pith worm castings and pumice and I run 20oz bottles cut to 16oz!! woop woop go tiny crowd!

ATTENTION!!!! The BGCB soil I mentioned above is what fucked my garden up!!! It has too much peat moss in it and not enough coco but that was a newb mistake trying to stay away from hydro shops getting everything from Home Depot and local hardware stores but now that I broke down and bought a bag of Roots Organics Coco Fiber Hydroponic Soilless Media and my problems disappeared!!!

only thing I got right now : DP BB , floro veg, mutant ( 4 leaves at the 4th node ) missing leafs ... anyways dry organic fed, abused by light burns, non watering, non ph'd water... looks like the organic nutes are running out so I top fed organic nutes and we'll she what it looks like later as the bottoms are starting to yellow.. .... first go at coco and it turned out better then what I thought

didnt know you could do this i run 5 gal in all my coco ... and my roots fill the containers

Somebody should inform this guy too: http://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.php?p=1981935&postcount=11

I see my plant's roots fill the inside edge of the container very heavily too.

But on the inside it's mostly coco. I had another plant exactly like the one shown, but I kept this one to reveg. I cut a lot off the root ball and then put it back into the same size container. A few weeks into flower I transplanted it into a container twice the size it was in. When I dug her up, I saw that her roots really had not penetrated the new coco much at all. Interesting...

Just joined here in last few days and had already decided to do some powerplant mini's, one in a 4 inch pot and one in a 6 inch pot for a laugh more than anything else, all my others are un-trained monsters in 11L wilma pots but handwatered as i do.
I didn't expect the 4 inch one to survive but after reading this thread i'm a bit more confident, probably post a couple a pics through there grows and check back to see what you others are up to.
