Yeah Pepsi-Co is on the list too... They own Frito Lay... no more doritos for me...

I can understand big pharma and the alcohol companies. But entertainment companies and food companies... are they stupid, if it weren't for Cannabis Indica they would have lost half their profits.

I don't know if I would go so far as to boycott these companies. The way I see it there are two reasons they do it:

1: They feel like they are improving their community because the government has been telling us for years that Cannabis is bad.

2: They're after the tax credits or publicity

Maybe the solution would be forwarding educational material to these companies about the beneficial use of Cannabis and the infinite uses of hemp. We, as a community, need to keep spreading the good word. I've read countless articles and stories posted on this forum that would change just about anyone's opinion about Cannabis. I'm sure there are several icmag members that have contacts within these companies. If we can prevent just one company from donating money this year it would be a step in the right direction.

The list includes every major corporation in the US...

I find it funny that the biggest drug-cartels in the US are supporting a "drug free" America.

It makes no sense to provide our enemies with ammunition. By purchasing the products or services of those who support PDFA we are doing just that. For every company listed there are others who offer the same type of products or services. You might spend a few extra bucks but I would rather spend a little extra money with a company that doesn't support my enemies instead of buying products from the company who supports my enemies because it's good for their bottom line. Cause it still supports the suffering brought to many cannabis patients. Alleviating suffering is more important than the profits of some soul less corporation. If they are really doing this for tax purposes, take away the money that is causing them to pay taxes.

Pharmaceutical Researchers & Manufacturers of America for over half a million bucks. Themselves...

Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Bristol Myers Squib WYeth... and a horde of others.

I noticed Astra-Zeneca wasn't on the list however...

What's going to have a bigger impact?

Multinational, billion-dollar, corporations losing a few customers or PDFA not receiving hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars in donations to a bunk cause?

I get what you're saying and I don't disagree with influencing how anti Cannabis programs are funded. I'm just offering another way to approach the situation that might hit them where it hurts a little harder.

If that's not proof positive right there then I don't know what is.

So funny to me that society doesn't equate pharmaceuticals as drugs.

A half $million is less than a rounding error on the balance sheet for big pharma. Sheesh, the makers of Oxycontin just got fined almost $700 million for pumping out too many and they're still in business.

"$700 million? Will you take a check or do we have to pay in cash?"

I predict pharmacutical opiate abuse will kill more ppl than big tobacco

they simply re engineered chemical slavery

I would love to see the corporate heads and consultnats in thosea companies be tried in a court of law for every life that has been destroyed

All of these companies have websites, phone numbers and corporate offices, in order for this to be an effective boycott they have to realize that they are being boycotted, and it is only going to be effective if thousands of people actively participate by contacting them to let them know that we will no longer use their products or services and our reason for doing so.

Funny stuff! NBA and MLB on the list! Half their own employees are either on Steroids or the Grass themselves! What a bunch of shitheads. The Pharms are on their cause they would rather you pay $60 bucks for their pills than grow your own unfiltered and unchanged herb. Jason Giambi???? Is he for real? Mr juicy himself! What a freakin Dooche!

And lastly Haliburton! Stealing all the billions in sealed illegal contracts in Iraq must have given them full coffers to throw money around. Cheney can have a few Scotchs go out and shoot his homie in the face but, he wants the shady company he secretly sits on the board of to fund drug free and safe communities?? I think I just pooted on myself I am laughing so hard at this!!!
