"If one understands himself, there can be no harmful effects in using it. Marijuana doesn't make me do anything that I wouldn't be capable of doing otherwise. I find it far more pleasant than drinking, less messy and more private. I never had the patience to sit in a bar and drink. Having a joint is far more economical and more immediate. I'm able to switch into certain inner places with marijuana. I've also taken a couple of trips that have been incredible."

2004 - CCNewz- 'Oceans Twelve' - The script and locations for the movie 'Ocean's Twelve' had been carefully kept secret, but a key scene was recorded in the Amsterdam Cannabis Cafe "De Dampkring." The owner, Paul Wilhelm, told media the lead characters are no strangers there. "We have Brad Pitt in our store a few times a year," he said, "all incognito with a beanie and glasses. Just sitting there smoking some. We've had George Clooney in, too. They are just nice people."

"now everything in my house is voice activated! Nah, I'm lyin', I'm just tryin' ta make chedda', cause my door bell is rubbin' two wires together!"

Oh, he keeps it real, too.

Writer, pot grower.

"No, State Troopers would not like me much. Yet to think of them arrayed in spritual vengeance against my little marijuana plot was hard to believe this cold November afternoon. In the frenzy of summer, yes. The summer before this, in all the frantic August madness of a tip that a raid was near, I ran out to Truro in the heat of the day (when it's concidered gross to harvest your crop-spiritually distruptive to the plant) and chopped it down, and spent an irrational night (what with having to explain my absence from a number of parties) wrapping the fresh-fallen stalks in newspaper and storing them. It was none of it done well, and so I didn't trust Regency's warm regard for the quality of that year-old product (maybe Patty Lareine had slipped him a couple of Thai nicely rolled and told him they were homegrown). All the same, my next crop, harvested just this last September, did have a flavor, call it psychic distinction. Although it smelled a hint rank from the Truro woods and bogs, still I believe it offered something of the mist endemic to our shore. You can smoke a thousand sticks and never know what I'm talking about, but I did grow marijuana with a fine edge. If one wished to entertain the illusion that one could commune with the dead, or at least put up with the possibility that they were whispering to you, then my pot was fine. It was as spooky as any stuff I ever smoked."

Why is my verse so barren of new pride,
So far from variation or quick change?
Why with the time do I not glance aside
To new-found methods and to compounds strange?
Why write I still all one, ever the same,
And keep invention in a noted weed,
That every word doth almost tell my name,
Showing their birth and where they did proceed?

The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford-upon-Avon, England, allowed South African research scientists from the Transvaal Museum in Pretoria to analyze twenty-four pipe fragments found on the grounds of William Shakespeare's home. The findings, published in the current issue of the South African Journal of Science, show that eight of the pipes tested contain traces of cannabis and two of the pipes contain traces of cocaine. Others appear to be laced with tobacco, camphor, and hallucinogenic nutmeg extracts high in myristic acid.

best thread ever ;)
