if I had some money to buy seeds with, I think I would get his tribal vision hybrid.

Here's a Tribal Vision at 46 days:

Interesting leaf structure. The leaf blades slim down drastically for several inches before they meet the petiole, and many are arranged in a big circle. Like no other plant in my collection:

A malawi gold leaf for comparison. I hope it works this time.

Jones, it's funny you mentioned having music. What happened to me was that my music player stopped working. I was desperately trying to find some music to calm me down as the high continued getting stonger and deeper it almost got out of hands, but I do get paranoid quite easily. I am now growing some old african seeds stock to find smoke that is equally clear in the head, but with more euphoria.

Mini Malawi 40+ days 12/12

... mini malawi taking some super-cropping  :canabis:

Beautiful Sativas guys:smoker:

Herbalistic: The main concern is just trying to make a little seed stock with some of the strains I have very few seeds of. I will be choosing the best males and females I find to make seeds with, so it'll be a bit of selective breeding at the same time. There will definitely be crosses made but nothing is definitive.
I also want to do some more selective breeding with the Swazi's and Durban Poisons which I've selectively bred before only over one generation though from chosen males and females from the original seed stock.

I'll just have to see how things go...

Here's some Thaipoisons and Congos.

Tp's on the far right and left, Congos in the middle two pots.

You can see some Nitrogen deficiency in the pic. The pic was taken a few days ago, they are looking better now after a few doses of nutes but I don't want to hit the Congo babys with too much nutes just yet. Rather build them up slowly for now.

Here are some new aditions:

Dp's:

A while later. All 4 came up:

Swazi's:

And a while later. There are two more to break soil soon.

ElRubios pics prove what ive been thinking awhile -> there´s HUGE variation in different Swazi "strains" coming from that area :chin: Btw, where did you get your´s??

AH: Grow´s & pics & info of yours have been big help for trying to put African scene into somekind of order. Will definitely follow you and check the offspring, keep up the improtant work

DoC: I didnt even know you werent a follower of Pip´s :D Just had that image, dont know why! Anyways, good work with mini Malawi, hope to see her progress updated

PVR: Thanks for that reply, I know you been convinced about this ware´s for some years now and the fact you constantly use those genetics in your projects speak something for it self. Seems that Pips is carrying authentic genetics and has done many marvelous hibridos! I should check his gear personally, but time & space aint with me on this! Too much other tsit to grow ya know?

Thule: Good work as always, keep it solid mon´!

I get my seeds from a frend that was in Knysna and around (Sudafrica) last summer. he smoked somes nice samples of buds of local satrains, and take the seeds. He told me that was that swazi bud the most rich. I get two hermies and this ladie.

It seems in SudAfrica, everything is sold as 'Swazi'. Unscrupulous sellers. Only when buying off a Rasta Man, can you believe what he sais...

Knysna has a community of Rastafarians, and they cutivate a strain called 'Tarries'. Some say Tarries is bad, others say it is good.

Anybody here grew Tarries before?

All the swazis I have seen, are very very airy, with small calyxes. Lovely aroma though.

But I have also seen one just like the bud ElRubiu sported above... I called her SodaPop Sativa... Very thin leaves, whith strange enlarged bumps where the side stems meet the main stem...

I love this thread... thanks to all the participators!

good day to all lovers of african herb :)

a couple of Angola Roja x Banghi, by meister La Mano Negra

picture.php

they grew so tiny due to severe root-restriction, no more than 3 hours of direct sun-light plus tropical 12/12. grew by a window-sill of an abandoned house, talk about urban guerrilla... harvested them last dec 25th hehehe, they produced many nice seeds with the pollen of a colombian cripi male. also, the soil was almost all pure vermiculite and was not fed much, used only liquid vermi-compost a few times before flower.

edit: btw, the high was real good as well the taste :joint: all gone by now hehehe...

peace :)

Paz very nice minis, i´va a couple of seeds of ARxB by LMN (DEP). I´ll sprout them next week with a cross of MalawixMeao Thai courtesy of Los Pablos. (Dubi, gracias también). Big ups for all familia!!.

Otherwise, its really interesenting wht you say above about swazis. I´ve seen a long diversity btw the seeds posted here. The friend that was there is only an "amateur smoker", not a grower or breeder. I hope he had good luck with the selection.
I´ve no heard about Tarries!?!? wht its?!?
Buenas vibras.
Stay safe! THX for share guys

Someone was talking about tarries (or tarragon i think he said) like 10 pages back i think. It could be a few more than that.

Thanks for the compliments Herb, I appreciate it bro!
I hope to breed these African strains and hybrids of them until I'm satisfied they're good representations of the original genes and consistently produce high quality product, then make them available to everyone. So that everyone can get the real "legendary" Swazi, DP, Rooibaard, Transkei, Malawi Gold etc
It'll take some time though. I'm just trying to make seed stock from keeper phenos so I have good material to breed properly one day.
I see many people searching for these African strains but have bad luck finding them, well at lest the real good stuff.

Here's something for you African herb lovers, Swazi.

Peace, health and happiness to everyone!:smoker::friends:

That sounds like a PLAN :respect: Please let me know if I can help you in any way on your adventures with African cannabis genetics

Your plan sounds like a solid one + if you make these lines available to others, ppl will get more authentic reprensation of these line´s, when they have been breeded outdoors, under mighty African sun!! Compared to some indoor breeder from Europe, or North America, these will be more authentic!

Dont get me wrong, ppl from other continents are doing MARVELOUS job keeping these lines alive, but IMHO they cannot rival authentic genetics, produced in authentic location :2cents:

Just to mention a few breeders who use & keep these line´s alive + share their stock, I would like to thank the late, but GREAT La Mano Negra, may his soul rest in peace :respect:

Marijuanamat is doing a great job, as does Pip´s too and we certainly cannot forget our Spanish brethren´s, who are SO dedicated to this marvelous species, Charlie, dubi, Raco & of course Queen Rainha etc.. muchos :respect: for ya all!!!

Hey herb bro, you definitely can help. I want to send beans to select growers to test grow these genetics in different climates and hopefully carry on with selective breeding. Interested?

I get what ur saying mate, and I agree. I'm just thankful to be living in this beautiful country with so many landrace genes floating around so to speak hehe. It's sad man, I see so many locals regarding African genetics as worthless and only want "overseas" strains. This is the South Africa syndrome, ppl think local is crap and look up to America. It's funny seeing the dudes trying to be like American gangsters, hahaha!
it's so bad we've actually got this "Proudly South African" campaign going. All locally produced goods are labeled with the Proudly SA slogan so as to make people more proud of what we produce! Funny funny shit!
Don't get me wrong though, there are the lot who love this beautiful country and treasure the unique landrace Sativas available. I know there are guys preserving or landraces and working with them, but don't post on the net.

Big respect for you dudes!!
I get great joy seeing the work of La Mano Negra going around and being grown out. And his HUGE old haze trees, hehe! And the gems Rainha Ginga posts.
Nice on guys:joint:
