Hi guys and gals,
You're gonna become squeemish after you see this... So I decided to add more bubbling to my bucket and made a few modifications by adding diffusers that accept air from both ends. Prior I had T's that connected them to 1 airline but we have 2 airlines in each now. The water looks like it has current now ;-)
I also took my plant back and seriously removed 90% of all foliage. You'll see her structure a whole lot better now... I counted a total of 14 leveled internodes on this 10" tall plant. The bottom branches are now as thick as the main stem. I attribute this to the training. Again you'll also see dark spots all along the main stem as I'm crushing every new internode in the process causing her to grow sideways as opposed to horizontally.

This is a closeup side shot of my plant. I'm very satisfied with the girth and can't say I've ever had such a short plant. The last time I grew haze from this seed batch I was forced to top quite a few times. I don't think this will be a problem with this grow.
Here is a top shot of the plant. Loving the pale green - indicative of a sativa plant. She is a wide one ;-)
My hydrohut mini is 3' wide. 8 more inches on each side and the foliage will block all light to the bottom.
Nearly 3hrs later
No foliage and she is certainly wider that my bucket from branch to branch. Much wider than she is tall.

I counted 14 internodes including the new top chute. Took FreezerBoy's advice and bent her a full 90degrees yesterday. Today she's standing tall.
Here's the last shot - might be similar to the others. Just wanted to throw it in there.

Anyone - absolutely anyone can do this... Afterall we buy all this equipment for what "so that she can direct the show" I don't think so. We say what goes and we decide how it grows. Plants can endure unimaginable abuse during the veg stage - it's the flowering stage we must treat them like ladies..
Btw... Your setup is Smoking Hot man!!!

Here she goes after about 24 hours. The difference is slightly noticable given the fact that I really went to town on her yesterday... Thankyou guys for keeping my thread alive...

Thankyou for the words man. It really means alot to me. Every little compliment - it feels like I have a big family and we all grow. Kinda kicking myself in the ass for not posting earlier but I've documented all my pas grows. I even have pics from my very 1st grow which I thought was premium at the time LoL - It was so wack... But I'm almost there and I know that this is the right place to be now.
Here's a shot of today after the massacre a couple of days ago..
Day 41 Haze - Veg (pH 5.5 and TDS 1000) G-0/M-10/B20 I had to pump up Lucas numbers in order to reach desired PPM. Please guys tell me if I'm making a mistake there. She seems to like it.

looks real good man,now it looked like you periodically trimmed the bigger leaves off,why? so light gets to all over the plant?
thats awesome, will be watching this one for sure, thanks for sharing, I think I understand what you mean by pinching and where to do it I will try in a couple of days, my dog knocked the light socket on my seedlings when they had just popped, god damn things stretched to almost 3 inches gah !!! so some serious training is in order, I grow in a train carriage so I have heaps of room width and length and about 6 but foot high the buckets have to sit on tables (flood and Drain) which takes like a foot off, lights take about half a foot off so in theory I should have heaps of room high like 4 and 1/2 feet, last girls I let in there I thought I would just "sit back and watch the show" big mistake I wanted to see really just how they grow and was focusing on the environment they were free seeds with my order no genetics ended up being saltiva it was completely out of control filled the whole room 6.5m by 3.4 so about 20m2 I think thats like 36 feet squared

Thanks man... yes I periodically trim upper fan leaves because they are the absolute first to return. They sit at the very top with the lights and they can be removed. It's a delicate process to some and routine for others. I say routine for myself as well because we are not growing species like orchids that have a high sensitivity to EVERYTHING LoL. Weeds are clasified as unsightly growth because of how fast and bushy they can become even after smashing them with the sole of your shoe. It's time people treat cannabis the same way.. ;-)
Just be careful pruning near the bottom as it's already hard for light to penetrate unless you're incorporating vertical HID's like Krusty Freedom - A magical grower.
I became very tired of the Christmas tree effect as all my plants lacked near the bottom but using techniques I picked up here, and other forums alike - I started playing with foliage removal, Pruning growing tips - FIM and other stuf I feel quite comfy now. So when you remove the upper half of foliage you indeed allow for a busshy plant and add pinching and you'll end up with a plant that looks like an umbrella

Thankyou for the kind words. I'm still looking everyday. I normally wait to flower till I see them hairs. Once they appear I switch. So far alternating branches have been in effect
thats a maturity sign but getting hairs in veg is my queue. I normally catch them in the main stalk.Damn man that sucks about pics, I'd of loved to check that ScROG :-( I'm on my 7th grow now and fortunately documented all. They are not fancy but I'm willing to post them up in another diary for all to see. LoL still using same old hydrohut too. Damn thing paid for itself 15 times already...

Thanks man and yes I took closeup pics of the stalk after being savaged and left bare. Any dark spots you see are a sign of crushing on my part. Just remember this "Stop when you hear the Pop." I don't cut branches ever but pinching ultimately stops lateral growth if only for a moment and allows for that energy to be redirected to the sides. I just cut my plant badly 5 days ago and she healed up very nicely. I even grabbed a Skunk I had in soil and upped it from a small container to a 5 gallon bucket. Now I'm planning on a Haze/Skunk ScROG. I can't upload pics at the moment because somethings wrong with the gallery section here at ICMag but when it's up I'll post it.
Man you had some serious square footage with those plants. Yeah man Sativas MUST be fucked with from the very start. If you leave them then they'll control the grow room. You love your plants but they are your employees and need to do as instructed or they will be terminated. Ask away - a million questions and I'll answer a million and one. If there's ever going to be room for legalization then we need more people growing and flood this country with Haze and Skunk. ;-)
