ok well the girls are now in week 5 day 2 of wk 5 to be exact,however i'm experiencing great difficulty uploading pics i understand that ic is currently working on the server to add new features the last 48h i've been unable to upload but i was able to early sunday morn here's the pics.....when i can upload all the photos i'll write the info about the plants shown but for now here's just some unlabled shots

LUI#1 @ day 1 of week 5











she's starting to stack her calyx's nicely and giving off a sweet grape smell......

this pheno is a little taller than LUI#1 but has a very sweet smell and her resin production is starting to coat the leaves nicely.......

OK so far LUI#3 isn't the fastest producer nor the strongest smelling plant i've seen but she does have potential maybe all she needed was a longer veg time to produce to her optimal........maybe....imo...

I like this pheno because she's stays really short and has a nice cola forming on her...............this pheno would be perfect for a sog..... i'll see how things go this week and i'll try to snap some more pics during the week.........peace....

thanks alot wayne i can't wait to see what they fill out into either... i'm starting to see why this strain apparently makes great bubble hash the leaves are starting to get mighty coated with resin.....but the thing i don't get is that this strain is super leafy i dunno if its my style of growing or its the genetic makeup of this strain i'm not sure yet but LUI#2 has the least leaf and the most oil production outta all 4 phenos so far......hey wayne let me ask you a question you produce some mighty f****n fine buds of the LUI your-self what's the max ppm you give your girls...i gave mine at peak nute consumption 2000ppm's and they seem to like it............i quess i'm just curious about it thats all.........thanks for the intrest........peace

dude, the leaf to calyx ratio on LUI is typically pretty high.... Its really all in the luck of your batch of beans with the LUI... ive had some mothes of LUI (of which I have eliminated from my garden for some fucked up reason) that had an excellent calyx to leaf ratio, where the calyxs grew "volcano-shaped" buds with very few leafs. I recently obtained a LUI cut from a friend that has a plethora of leaves on it. When you trim it, you have to leave the leafs on it or else it looks like you have no bud... good thing the leafs are covered in trics, otherwise that cut I have would be a shit LUI pheno...

I have been going through so much testing, with many different strains right now, that my favored LUI mother somehow became mistagged and lost within the rest of my mothers. I believe I have saved 3 LUI mothers, but I am still re-testing them to figure out which is which... between the 10-15strains im testing right now, i have tended to put LUI in the timeout corner for now until ill get the rest of my strains situated..

alll in all, LUI is leafy. It doesnt matter though because those leafs still getya heavily medicated..

about the PPM's with this strain, ive learned that it can MOW down some nutes late into flower... its very resistant to hermying or burning if overfed... just keep it reasonable with the Ultimate Indicas and they will keep it reasonable with you...

good luck with your endeavors, and hopefully you get yourself a nice keeper pheno... just make sure you keep track! cya round pimpin...

well so far outta my moms of the lui only 3 out of four have a very high leaf/calyx ratio kinda sux but im sure i can turn it into some great bubble...but one of my phenos has a slightly higher calyx/leaf ratio it's my pheno#2...and it's kinda funny you mentioned that one of your moms had a more volcano-shape to the buds..almost pointy?????? i think i might have a similar pheno as yours wayne i didn't up date the pics for this week yet but here's a pick of my "pointed" pheno..



i'm gonna upload more on sunday when i start to give some P to the girls for their week 6 feed...


that sucks that you mis labled your moms thats a major piss off and lots of time lost...but at least you still got em.. .......
if i notice some of my pheno's aren't up to par i think i'll scrap the worst ones and keep only one mother to run but again i'm looking for something with quality AND quantity if i can't find it within these plants i'm gonna pop some chronic's(serious) i've done those before and their fuckin great ..not to say that lui isn't but i haven't yet tried a nice cured piece of bud from this strain yet .......so until i do i'll reserve judgement.......oh yea btw they DO eat up the Nutrients like starving animals espcially LUI#1 pheno she's a real nute hog ..i kinda wish they were finished so i could smoke some... but patience is a vertue..or some shit like that....lol thanks again wayne for sharing your knowledge.....peace

hello again ....so i'm updating for this week ..............this week i'm starting to cut out nitrogen and raise the phos levels...i hope they puff out nicely...............today is day 1 of week 6 42days 12/12 and i took some pics of the Lui's..........i've been looking through the various threads to see how to take better pictures and who better to learn from than the pros on ic...............and i noticed that a flat color backround makes for some nice clear bud shots and also highlights the plant all together...............so here's the Lui's........................

LUI#1








Lui#1 may be leafy but wow is she starting to produce some heavy buds and a very sweet grape/candy smell and her resin/oil production is starting to kick into high gear.........

LUI#2.......











Lui #2 is a very robust plant with kinda army green tinge to her leaves with also a very sweet/grape-ish but more sweet than the others....and her resin seems to more grain-ie than the others cant wait to see what happens in the next few weeks....

This pheno has shown the most improvement and has really changed my view on this pheno.. she's filling out nicely and her resin/oil production is really starting to come out..............

So i used a can of air freshner for size comparison this pheno stays short but makes a nice cola.....it's stacking very nicely and looks to be nice and potent ....................i'm excited to see whats going to happen in the next few weeks...............peace

i totally cut out nitrogen this week and also i gave them a hearty dose of overdrive @ 3.2,l per liter in addition to their usual feed...........some of them look like they have a sugar coating on them.................................................
next week i'll start flushing with finalphase i wanna give this crop a very good flush i gotta try to get rid of all that stored nitro in those lui's i'll do my best...............thanks all ....................................peace
