My take on dr Bud's micro SOG

Here's a little update. clones taken from mother #1 are fine and flowering, just as haze x skunk#1 clones are, but other clones turned to be hermies, so I let the cat have its way with them.
more pics of flowering clones:

I'd say they're half way there. I also noticed that the clone I bent produces bigger buds on lower branches. This makes me think I should bend all of my plants in the future, or start pruning the big fan leaves.
The temperatures are getting kind of low these days and my flowering box is on the balcony. Does anyone know a good way of warming a small growspace? I'm thinking of covering it with some blankets or something of a sort for starters.

About 2 weeks from the harvest. I'm battling with low temps and that reflected on the size of the buds.

This is one of the plants:

as you can see, bending was necessary.
some bud closeups:

Now, this is sativa dominant hybrid and I have suboptimal temps and it's also my first indoor grow ever. Now that I know I can do this, I'll start putting in some AK 48's in there (have to make a mother though).
I've also noticed that first 3 clones that I put in will yield less than the ones put in 2.5 weeks later, even though they were thaken from the same mom and flowered at the same height.

Thanks for the input, mate. I don't really know much about that strain, I use it for my grow because I was given the seeds free. I can say that it does take a looong time to flower, and clones start rooting after 2,5 - 3 weeks in bubble cloner (I'm hoping to speed this up once I install the aquarium heater in there). This all makes these strains (as far as I can see, they're allmost identical) somewhat impractical for perpetual SOG. I'll switch to AK 48 and keep those thais for flavor.

Hey Vlad have you checked out my Bubble Cloner for micro grower?? I sucked at cloning too and the bubbler has been the easiest way I just clip a 3"-4" branch at a angle and scrape the first layer of skin off and stick it in my cloner and in 5-14 days depending on strain and conditions you will have rooted clones and I've pulled rooted clones out of rockwool just to see if the root ball was any bigger and it's not so I'm loving the bubbler and I never see yellowing on my leaves so no stress and the guy at the hydro shop says that it's the best way to clone... Thats my 2 cents good luck

what i wanted to with a thai was veg it into a scrog screen and then flower it under mh or daylight cfls, that makes them denser and controls their CRAZY CRAZY stretching. do you have a daylight (bluelight) cfl near your thai? try adding one :)
im with you on doing indica as your main grow, sativas take time and yeild less and are something i would do if i had spare space for them.

@Thundurkel: my cloner is pretty much a shameless copy of yours, sans heat pad. I think that thai genetics just take a lot of time to root. I will test this theory once the AK gets big enough to take cuttings from.

Here are some pics of the veg box:

It's a stove, rigt?

this is the flower room with the recent additons of a heat pad and a 60 W ceramic heat bulb (on the right, the small reflector):

I had a Christmas Eve harvest, albeit a week too early, but I was dry and needed the schmoke ASAP so down the first 3 clones did go:

I know, not very thick buds, but then again, that's sativa dom plant grown in suboptimal temps and also my first indoor, so I'm happy.
I tried the not fully dried herb, it gives a nice, strong high.

wispy BUT who can complain when "smoke is smoke" in the end and odds are is better than where many others like myself are at this moment and out completely lol.

the hardest thing for you will be allowing them to go the distance without "testing them" throughout the grow. It took me a few grows to finally get that out of my system and trust me in the end it is best to let them go all the way because it will be an apples to oranges comparison from the potency now to what they could have been.

was this your first grow or first INDOOR grow? either way congrats on a successful grow. I don't know if I have the patience for a full on sativa because 8 weeks is too long for me already lol. I couldn't even imagine 9-16 week strains even though they odds are AMAZING in their own right.

First time indoor, I've grown on the balcony before (from bagseed). Well, those 14 weeks are a lot easier to handle now that I have another harvest in 3 weeks, give or take. However I was going for one harvest every week.

Update

Well I switched to AK 48 completely a while ago but I'm still trying to dial it in. Here are some pics.

Lol, not very clean or tidy by no means.

But it seems to be going somwhere

The last picture is my first batch of AK48s @ 7,5 weeks. The reason that those poor babies look so bad is that thay survived a vicious cat attack (the attack was vicious, the cat is quite cute actually). I also got fertilizer on those leaves hence the spots. The buds look good actually, but I flowered them too early, they needed to veg a bit longer.
