Hey thanks johnyhash. The Flora Nova has been working really well for me so far, but this is my first full grow in coco. I know it's not a coco specific nute, but my girls aren't complaining yet. I haven't added anything except the Flora Nova to my RO water. Though sometimes I add a couple cups of tap water that I use as pH up. I try to keep things simple. :rasta:

hey cough is this setup drip or dwc coco setup? this is totally nice setup. I got a 600 I wa do something stealth with. I want to do coco but was considering hand water but less time watering is more time for other stuff as my schedule sometimes is hectic. I rahr spend the time inspecting the ladies than watering. sorry for the ramble. great job ....

What's up High, yeah I wanted to do a coco drip but I didn't know what to do with the runoff. I really had a hard time figuring out what to do about that so I just went with this idea last minute. I put a couple bubble wands down there when I saw roots starting to grow into the runoff, but my airpump isn't the best. I think it's just enough to keep root rot away so far. The colder weather has helped too. I would not recommend a design like this somewhere hot.

YEEESSSSS!!!!! This is awesome!!! Very nice, I am very impressed by your coco-ness :) I bet they smell off-the-hook! I've got a pain in the ass question for you. I've been dabbling a coco grow for awhile now, and its really totally brand new to me. Would you be able to do something like draw a diagram of your setup? Your setup is badass. If you don't have the means (or the time), it's all good, just figured I'd ask. I got this tagged, can't wait till chop day! You are def gonna have a white Christmas!

mtn high, whats up bro! I figured you would find your way over here eventually. Yes, it's looking like it should be a good Christmas this year, I can't wait :canabis:

TB4U, hey girl thanks for the props on my coco-ness. I must say I've been more than pleased with coco so far. I have this first drawing of my cab setup I made when I first built it and ran DWC. I just whipped up that second one for ya to see how my current experimental setup is. Let me know if any of it doesn't make sense.

hey icough2getoff, I noticed recently (3d week in flower) I mistakenly culled the clones from the fastest kalichakra female I had. You said you took clones in flower w/o problems, how long into flower were them?

I noticed the clones have hairs!!! :(

chop-chop time is coming for you!!! white and frosty christmas! :D

Hey repuk, I've taken clones almost 4 weeks into flower before. The later into flower it seems to me the longer they take to root. If you're unable to get any cuttings to root by the time you harvest, you could always try to reveg the plant. Check out this thread.

Yeah my plants don't have much longer to go. Maybe another week or so. I can't wait :canabis:

I took it 3 week into flower, hopefully they will root. And even if they do not, the pheno may not be a keeper... to soon to know, Thanks for the reveg pointer!

I've been taking my clones 2 weeks into flower without issue (for the most part). Just keep them under 24 hour light, they should be fine! Getting ready to take some clones of my LUI that have been in 12/12 for 10 days...

The more I think on an auto system the more I like yours icough2getoff... can't wait to chop chop & taste time to know yield and hear your word about it... I may setup the same for the next batch.

repuk, so far I like this setup but I don't know how much the roots like sitting in the runoff. The roots haven't grown much since dipping down in there as far as I can tell. Not sure if the plant was just done growing roots, or they don't like it down there. Might get a better idea when I harvest and take a better look at the roots down there. My air bubbles are very weak though. I never upgraded my airpump because my current one is very quiet and stealth is important to me. My main goal was to prevent root rot. I think next time I try an auto watering type setup I'm going to use these blumat drippers I bought. I've seen some great results with them in coco by CMoon. This grow has been fun though and I may try this method again, but only in the winter time when it's cool out.

Yo mtn high here's a few for ya, day 68. Some buds have a bit longer to go and judging by the trichs it should be no problem. :joint:

The roots may have stopped there because they needn't go anywhere else to find water... chop time will tell.

I also saw those blumats, wick version, they look really good! I think I recall you could even feed nutes through them. Just found them locally and will give them a try probably, specially if they can feed nutes.

Which one are you going to use? I see there are mixed setups with auto "drippers" that use the ceramic cones as sensors, and also a Maxi Tropf Blumat that may be best suited for higher water demands than 125ml/day (4oz per 24h) the XL provides...

I never saw those Maxi Tropf Blumat drippers before, those look very interesting. I ended up ordering the ordinary Tropf Blumats, the patio and balcony set. I figured I'd just use two per pot if one isn't enough.

Apparently feeding nutes through them works according to CMoon and his results. I may try using different nutrients than flora nova though because flora nova is so thick and chunky. I think I'll feel better using a more liquid/clear type of nutrient like HESI with those things. I can't wait to try them out! You're lucky to find them locally, I had to order them from overseas.
