when i was in school,,, i remeber my friends would make all sorts of bongs pipes and gbs from every day tings....

i seen skyy vodka bottle turned into bong,,,a toilet turn into a gB ((not as nasty as ud think)) and a potatoe used as a pipe,,,

Back in the day we would take an empty beer can and with a pen or other sharp object, poke a small hole in the side and then use it as a Hash pipe.

Oh, and years ago, I use to make what I call a 'bender' out of foil and a round pencil. If I had foil, I'd make one a shoot it with the digi and post, but no foil.
Just wrap a foil square onto a round pencil, slide pencil down until only an inch or so left inside, bend 90 degrees. Fill and enjoy. When finished, smash into a ball and throw away.

When in the military, you figure out ways to make pipes. One of my favorites was the apple. I have smoked many a fresh apple. Quite nice, actually.

The piece I keep dear, is a pipe made from a deer antler. Made for me by a bull companion whilst he was in a FL lockup. Made a nice little pouch to hold it out of some worn out prison grays.

Mine is in the pic below. I take a corncob pipe, cheap one, remove the mouth piece and filter. Then insert a bendy straw, shim with a stem for a snug fit. This makes a kind of a country churchwarden style pipe that allows the smoke to cool nicely. I insert a new straw daily, so it always delivers a clean fresh flavor. If you were toking with someone who was sick, you could each have your own straw to keep from spreading germs. Corncob and deer horn are the coolest smokes.

one guy i knew, and i think someone here, too, had a used mustard container to smoke joints with...you lit a joint, placed it inside the mustard container and squeezed hits out of it...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

i saw a gas mask, but never used one...

Sleepy, I remember when it was status quo to have one of those joint jugs. They were in every head shop. (right next to the strawberry reefer rollers)
I haven't seen one around lately, but they used to be quite the thing. I've smoked through a few homemade models like your pal's mustard bottle.
The beauty of those things is the stealth. All of the passive smoke and ash remains in the bottle. Bad part is it makes your joint taste like butt after a couple of doobs.

home-made chicken bone. now i know you guys are gonna say were not smoking meth, i now that but they also work great for pocket vapes, take a propane tourch and heat the end of a test tube or rattle snake mixer and blow down the other end and inflate a ball by rolling the glass tube as you heat it and blow, then focous the heat on one spot and blow hard till a small hole pops through, let cool, and drop in some herb and heat with a bic on the out side of the glass till you see steam and smoke away. very easy to make and if you have rattlesnake drink kit at the house and a small propane lighter you got everything you need
