get well soon S4L, see if you can find some analgesic and medicated balm for the back, it aids a lot to relieve the pain, it is nice to have that balm heat up and cool down in the pain area, helps reduce inflamation etc...

Sorry to hear that S4L....I also have extreme back pain, luckily it has been kind of moderate lately, but when it acts up, it is very painful--
My buddy had surgery, and said it was the best move he ever made...took 98% of his pain away-- Hope you experience the same--

man..i feel you..i injured my back at work..now i have a disk hanging out, at L1,L2..kinda high for normal injury..but they gave me 30 day's for a big time improvement. and that was a week and a half ago..from what i hear, it's all about how you heal up, post OP..im so tired of popping soma...lortab, endocet(aka percocet) oxycotin..like pez candy...i would like to be able to sleep a full night...without getting all wired and geeked out from those damn pill's..shit get's me going like, BIG HOG'S,PAN CAKE'S, AND COKECAIN! are you doing any kind of PT?

I rarely post on ICmag anymore but as I read your posts daily Stoner4life I feel compelled to wish you a quick and speedy recovery and the best of health for the future. The same goes for any other ICmaggers who are not 100% at the moment.

Hope the surgery works out OK. At least if the pain gets bad you always have Mary Jane to take the edge off.

As a kid I would jump off high shit like it was nothing. I was always jumping off cliffs, trees, etc. you name it. well one year i went to the beach with my parents and decided to hop off the pier again. i was probably 15 or 16.
i jumped and under estimated how high the water was, by a lot.
i slammed to the floor of the ocean and fucked my back up. thankfully the way i jumped saved me. nearly felt paralyzed in the water and couldn't move. it took everything i had to get in.
i still wasnt scared to jump out of things once my back healed, but i am told old for that shit these days. i fuck my back up like that again and i am done for.

anyway enough with the story tellin... just lettin ya know ive been through similar back pain. i hope you can get some relief soon...

i dont know your personally so the most i can tell you is take it really easy afterwards man, dont try to do too much. remember that although it hurts your gonna have to roll on either side every couple hours or so to alleviate site pain but it helps the healing process in the long run.

do what you normally do and god speed to you brother, your the only other "throw back" i know of that i may have passed by in the village in NY at some points in time, so for real hopes are with you for a speedy recovery
