Very interesting thread bodhiseeds :respect:

Thanks for share your knowledge about different nepalese strains, nepalese sativas have the most unique and varied aromas i've found in wild sativa lines.
Nepal is a true sativa paradise for seed hunting!

well done Bodhi. that would be a trip of a life time for me. shows how dumb I am about the region, I pressumed there would be alot of fat Indica dominate plants. Do the farmers try to breed the plants or is it pretty much open pollination from any male in the area?

WOW!

WOW!

Congratulations Bodhi!

Those pictures are awsome,- thanks for sharing them with us.

Really interresting to read about all the different characteristics and to see all those different phenotypes.

Nepal seems to be a very interresting country,- not only because of the Cannabis culture.

Beautiful mountains...

Why is Hemp Good for Nepal?

Why is Hemp Good for Nepal?

I want to attach this info to your fine pictures.

I think it fits your pictures well.

Why is Hemp Good for Nepal?

Hemp is an extraordinary plant. Native to Nepal, hemp grows in almost any conditions, needs no fertilisers or pesticides, and flourishes in Nepal's difficult terrain. It grows well at high altitude and on marginal land, actually replenishing the soil with vital nutrients. Its roots bind the soil together, helping to prevent soil loss and landslides on Nepal's fragile slopes.

Farmers have grown hemp on their land for generations, they have knowledge about harvesting and spinning the yarn, using the traditional 'tooth-and-spindle' method. The farmers can sell hemp yarn and cloth for a cash income.

Around the home and farm the plant is prized as a fibre because of its strength and durability. Its leaves and sap are used as a painkiller and sedative, while the roots make medicine for burns and other wounds. Roasted hemp seeds, a traditional hilly snack, contain a host of essential nutrients - a useful addition to an often poor diet.

Hemp is an ideal biomass fuel with a high cellulose content. Hemp can be compacted into burnable briquettes to fuel stoves and heat homes. Using renewable hemp fuel would save both firewood and the labour involved in collecting it.

Hemp in the mountains…

* helping to prevent landslides
* replenishing soil
* possible alternative fuel
* yarn and cloth sold for extra
income
* extra source of nutrition

Sativa

Sativa

I have a sativa x haze that has been budding so long I can't remember. The buds are getting big and full but not much trichs yet. Did you run into plants that took so long to bud? I'm easily over 3 1/2 months. It is my first sativa grow. Wonderful trip and pictures. I'm disabled now and that was a good way for me to go on a nice trip and learn something. Somebody else do it!
