i have all the pvc, but cant find the female connector. could someone post a closeup or link for what that looks like exactly? im guessing it is just screwing on to your pump?

i have 10 360 degree misters and was wondering if a 350 g pump up to the around 400 g pumps would work fine? thinking about 40-50 sites.

we found a fogger at a petstore and it cost 60 bucks. i thought about buying it and experimenting with it to see if the fog would work. i really didnt know how it worked so i left it alone. 100% humidity and good air is defintely good. anyone know how they work?

could this all be made out of cpvc as well?

anyone found any other good neoprene locations? i have heard the 1 3/4" holesaw idea, but that is if you are getting the 2 inch plugs right?

are the ez clone 2 inch plugs working for people? i read on a review that they were too stif or something, crushing the stalks? may have been bs, just wondering what results people are having.

thanks for the thread, good info and lots of money saved. this thing might save my crop of plants im nursing back to health. dont know what went wrong, but things look better now.

dude you should just buy the actual aero cloner if you plan on buying all that shit... those ready made plugs are expensive, that fogger is expensive..

get a 396 gph pump, and some neoprene garden kneel pads... get the hole saws as well...

as far as the pvc connector is concerned, i use a compression coupler...

hey what do you guys like to use in the res for fertz or supplements?
i use a pH adjusted mix of water and liquid karma at clone/cutting dosage, 1 tablespoon/gal.

thanks for the advise...

don't waste ph down and liquid karma in this aero cloner...

i use straight tap water which is at about 7.5 ph and thats it...

only problems i have ever had with this cloner is when i tried throwing in some bullshit nutrients into the water and the one time when i forgot to plug the pump back in...

go straight tap water

thanks Lil WaynE, how often would you then recommend changing that tap water in the res with fresh water?

i never change the water... ive run atleast 3 sets of clones back to back to back without changing the water. All i do is top it off from time to time because some of the water obviously evaporates... be sure to keep the rez clean (free of dead plant parts ie; leaves, stems) and you should be just fine...

alright i am almost finished with mine. my only problemis making sure that my filter stays in once it is suction cupped. it has 4 littl esuction cups on one end of it then it just has the other end floating. any suggestions for leveling this off or putting something underneath it. just making sure the filter stays in place and keeps the pvc level will work. thanks again guys. peace

shouldnt be a big deal.. i took dental floss and ran it through the handle holes in one of my cloners and tied it to the pvc to keep it nice and level...

My big issue with this system is fabricating the best way of holding the clones in place. Can anyone surmise what the optimum system between neoprene and netpots as to how to hold the clones in place is?

Otherwise, this is a MUST build for me when I get my cab up and running. Must. What a brilliant idea.

oh and to the guy above me...

i have used everything from pipe insulation, to pool noodles, to garden kneeling pads (can make 15 sites per pad @ 4.50 USD a pack). I just used 4.5 pads on the one (pictured above this wordage). Cost me about 25 bucks for some 71 pucks (one extra to hold the pump power cord firmly).

this is my 3rd home-made cloning machine. 2 have been keeping me nice and supplied for the last couple months. i probably lose about 2-4 clones out of 50 each run... i pull the rooted clones out, plant them, then immediately take new cuts... im a fucking factor worker who gets paid every 2 months.... :violin:

peace and smoke.

My fog-cloner is still doing really well. One question i have for you guys using the water pump and mist heads... How often do you have to add water to your res? Like you i never change my water but i have to add a couple of oz of water about every other month to keep the water leve just above the fogger heads. Also i'm wondering what kind of cuttings you guys take. There has been only one cutting i've taken that didn't root, although if i was patient it probably would have. One time a soft cutting took two weeks to root, and it hasn't happened again after several more rounds of cuttings. It also doesn't matter whether my cuts are soft of semi-woody, and sometime it seems that the woody cuts root faster. Last round of cuts i took, my mother had gotten a bit too tall (was touching the top of the box when i got back from the Cannabis Cup), so i took some big cuts, 4-6 inches with rather woody stems as they were from some of the main stems. They are rooting like any other and a week later they are ready to plant. I also put them directly into flowering box and they do just fine (i also inoculate the roots with Biovam® before planting). I have no idea what kind of genetics i'm working with as they are from old bagseed but they don't really stretch during flowering so i assume she is some type of indica.
Also i'm wondering how much noise does your water pump make cause my foggers are noiseless... just the little "droplet" sound from the slight water disturbance directly above the fogger disk that you can only hear if you get right up next to it while the fogger is powered.

BTW- i see no need for any type of fan if your space is just for the cloner like mine... just the cloner and some LED lights hanging in my closet, totally separate from my grobox.

I built one and I used a 350gph pump. I have black misters and the droplet size is kinda bigger then what I thought it would be. Do you think a more of a fog would be good?

wo0ho0 my cloner is complete! I think!

wo0ho0 my cloner is complete! I think!

clamp on light from home depot and 43w day light CFL. (30$)

as you can see I have the lid in upside down. this prevents leaks! no need to weather strip at all!

no leaks unless you lift and look under the lid while its running! You will get sprayed in the face!

my 350gph pond pump I bought off ebay for 30$

The water level is just over the pump. I used a 18.9L bottle (roughly 5 gallons) of arctic glacier.

I used neoprene pucks and used a hole saw that would cut a hole just wide enough so I could push them in and they would stay. I got 11 sites on mine.

I cut into the handle to allow a space for the cord to come out.

As you can see the lid fits snugly on top. NO LEAKS.

Well, my fog-cloner does't leak at all, even with the lid off the water stays inside (execpt for condensate that can drip off of the lid)... only thing i had to do to make it was to drill holes in the lid for plant sites and cut some strips of foam with some scissors that i wrap around the stems of the cuttings to hold them it the holes. I also only use two 12w LED panels... i have pictures around here somewhere...

Nice job fellas. I have a EZ cloner now that works great but, I figure on trying to build one of these sometime early in the year just cuz. Ya'lls look really nice (LilWayne)

Also the fogger idea sounds cool. I also would like to see some pics of that.

Much love to King Ralph for the post and the know how.

Finally PICS!! Fogloner

Finally PICS!! Fogloner

Ok, after searching and searching i was unable to find my older pics of the Fogloner so here are some new pics.

This is what it looks like when i walk into my closet.

I put the flash on so we can see a little more detail. As you can see it's not that big (16/5"x11"x7.25"). Such an easy build though; just drill some 5/8ths inch holes (i always wonder why you guys cut such big holes for clones) and cut some foam strips with scissors to hold the cuttings in place (i should have cut them a little longer to wrap around the stem a little more but they work).

The DIY-LED grow panels are not that big either (4.5" square each) and they only pull ,i think, about 12w each, except for the fact that 1/3 of the red leds on the left panel went out so it's even less.

I currently have two single-disc foggers in the unit. The one on the left, w/LEDs, is the cheaper halloween unit w/out low water-level safely cut-off. It's transformer says it runs on 24vac 500ma. Be careful to always keep the water lvl at least 2 cm above the disk.

The one on the right is the more expensive futuregarden.com model with teflon-coated disc and low water-level safty shut off. It's transformer says it runs on 24vac 850ma If you goto the website you'll see that these are around $30 but are safer and can be used w/ hydro nutes. This of course is not necessary for the Fogloner (like my new word?) as only clean water is needed or wanted, but if you want to experiment with growing aeroponicly...

Isn't this a beautiful fog the roots get to hang in... and so much more quiet than a water-pump and misters (not to mention less work). Just look at those wonderfull multi-branched roots. Like i sayed b4 it takes about 5 days for most cuttings to start roots. This round all 5 cuttings (yes they were a bit lager than usual because i was at the Cannabis Cup-Lemon Haze FTW) started to show root buds the 3rd-4th day but the largest cut (about 5", rather woody stem, though not much more than some of the others) took until yesterday (about 2 weeks) to start actual roots. Reguardless its a woderful and simple system. No sealing or leaking... no worries about getting sprayed in the face when looking in on the roots, open it anytime.

Also the foggers keep the root-zone quite warm and the ultrasonic vibrations (2 million per sec) sterilize the water (also means you can't use benificial microbes in the water, but the small droplet size makes up for it.) I also run them on a short cycle timer to save electricity (on-1min, off-1min) and maybe it keeps it from getting too hot as well. Haven't lost one yet! BTW, this is like my 6th round of clones on the same water... like i said in an earlier post, i only have to add very little water not very often to keep water lvl above the fog-discs. This has to be the simplest, most effective cloner yet! With or without cloning gel makes no difference.

Well there you have it. My first post w/pics!! I'm so happy. Now i have to go put those clones in the flower box!!

All-One-Love
