Word.

I'll prob. start a little Bio/DC thread once they're out of the dirt.

Hopefully I'll get a few girls to show off.....

How many Bio beans did ya crack to find that pheno you have?

i cracked five of each. i always crack five(if you cant find a good pheno out of five seeds, the breeder didnt do a good job IMO). I found two awesome BIO D phenos(one got lost on accident), the deep chunks didnt crack, for weeks i thought i had one deep chunk and one bio D, only till i had them fully matured did i realize they were both bio diesels with the deep chunk traits really showing through. Youre gonna be really pleased and im gonna be watching :)

did you find your DC hybrids to have slow growth?
i have noticed that they are a little slower than my others

Chem Dog is lookin and smelling truly tasty and ranks up there in smell with the bio diesel. The chem D is turning pretty yellow and losing fan leaves ive heard that chem d is notorious for turning yellow late in flower and ive seen pics of it myself. But i have recently switched from GH Flora nova to PBP in bloom and ive noticed that my white clones have started to turn yellow earlier than usual(they also turn a little yellow too in late flower) and im thinking that the PBP without CAL MAG + is adding to the yellow-ing, im used to using flora nova and it has given me lush green foliage till late flower and the only complaint is the final products taste. I heard adding some Botanicare Cal Mag plus(which i have) to the bloom mix will be a good fix for the yellowing but you have to catch it pretty much before it happens, conversly the SOUR chunks and pre 98's grew awe some...very minimal yellowing grown in PBP without cal mag so you enver know...it could just be bad feeding schedules this round on the chem d and white(grower error and not the nutes)ill try to add some cal mag+ to PBP only teas
I can honestly say from finishing one Pre 98 clone in flora nova, and recently finishing up a pre 98 clone from a cut taken 3 wks later that got much more PBP tasted WAY better. For some reason the flora nova always gave me a sinking suspicion that i wasnt getting all the taste i could get out of it, so now i have a confirmation in my mind at least that PBP is superior in taste with its organics i might have to try and switch up to fully organic and learn more about it, but i cant give up my Advanced Nutrients voodoo juice, piranah, big bud and sensizym :_)
Pics up soon of some Sour Chunks, Chem D and dry bud and hash shots...things have been really good lately and getting better, i finally have room and ill be cracking the HTC DC crosses next as planned...POWERHOUSE BABY

nycdfan, i noticed that you use hydromix?

what is the stuff like? compared to say running a hydroponics setup like e&f.

PH, etc?

Thanks, looking forward to using some of it, but want to know more about it.

^^ green tea its the same thing as pro mix. Its basically like soil, but it dried out faster as its much more porous form the high concentration of perlite and the sponge like texture of sphagnum/peat. Id say its nothing like running a hydroponics set up or e&f, the only way i would put it in that category is if i had drip lines or some automated set up but otherwise its considered "soiless" growing.
Promix, hydromix HP, fafard grow mix #2 and others are very different but are all considered soil less and work relatively alike, i love this medium as opposed to mixing your own or actually mixing your own dirt with compost etc as i am lazy as fuck. If i were less lazy id actually buy some fox farm or better dirt, all the organic components, a lil sphagnum/peat and perlite some dlime and you most definitely get a better product than promix. Organics is the bomb baby! im trying little by little ill get there.

Ive been on ebay alott lately selling stuff, but i couldnt resist buying something recently that ive been eyeing out for a while. I finally got a team losi 8ight 8th scale nitro buggy, i got out of rc racing a couple years ago and i just cant stay away, i sold my 10th scale truck and bought a reallly awesome super MINT 8ight 4wd buggy. I plant to put up some pics really soon, i plan on running this nitro for a while and converting it to brushless electric ASAP. will update this page very soon...i have dry & wet shots of chem D, sour chunks and others coming up soon

when i was younger my dad and i built an RC10 graphite and i took it to indoor dirt tracks for awhile. its pretty fun, amazing how fast they are. I bet the gas, or nitro, are rediculously quick.... are they loud as shit too?
when you say convert it to brushless electric, what does that entail?

nitro = really loud as compared to brushless electric = smooth n quiet

nitro = really loud as compared to brushless electric = smooth n quiet

katmandu! awesome!!! me and my dad did the same exact thing!! Our first vehicle was a team losi JRX pro from there i basically built almost every 2wd electric buggy and or truck kit available in that time including the original rc 10 with gold shocks! i loved those days. At that time an indoor off road track had opened near my city and upon going there once i was hooked this was around 1992 or so(coulve been earlier). I remember having so much trouble building my first kit from scratch, me and my dad would argue over what screw went where but it really built a strong relation ship with him, i truly believe that without the r/c hobby and all the time we spent doing it really made our bond so much stronger.
This buggy is a 1/8th scale 4wd off road buggy made by team losi, this vehicle is set up to mount a nitro engine, with the help of two servos(one to steer and one to brake & accelerate). Nitro 8th scale buggies and truggies have exploded into popularity recently and the technology has exlpoded with it, these vehicles can reach 60 mph + in less than 4 seconds and can jump in excess of 20ft vertical. Do a you tube search for : losi 8ight brushless vs nitro or simply go to www.losi.com, select the 8ight vehicle, go to the 'multimedia' tab and click on the video's each kit, or vehicle has a nice streaming video show casing its abilities. What really got me was the video on youtube showing a losi 8 ight nitro buggy converted to a brushless electric WHOOOPING major ass on ALL the nitro buggies, the electric torque and power was just superior!

To answer kathmandus question : this buggy has a conversion kit available that deletes the engine, brake and fuel tank and replaces it with a battery tray(molded with velcro straps) and a mount for the ESC and "brushless" motor, brushless motors are a new type of technology where previously "brushed" motors had dominated the new brush less format has longer run times zero maintenance and much more torque. The ESC(electronic speed control) is the brain that feeds the power from the battery to the motor, and servo. The ESC takes over and supplies ' pc program-able' driver parameters: throttle, break etc with every point you can imagine and more being adjustable on your PC or lap top! truly incredible stuff and way more interesting than nitro(in nitro all u can adjust is rich or lean needle points)!! the ESC also takes over the brake and has many different braking 'profiles' you can always make your own throttle and braking parameters and share on the net!!
The run times on brush less motors coupled with a large capacity LIPO battery can exceed 30 minutes to an hour depending on use, the technology keeps progressing exponentially so the run times vary(im still getting info myself). What i like about this set up is i have the ability to quickly switch from nitro to brush less electric within 20 minutes, only a few screws and boom i can switch back n forth( obviously if i have all the components for both which can be pretty pricey). ive rambled enough! check out youtube for some sick videos! or go to losi.com and check out all the vehicles they have, this hobby is great for stoners and you will meet many smart and cool smokers while wrenching on your vehicle at a local track!
