Day 57 update

Day 57 update

I give these maybe another 10 days, the heads are still pretty clear and very few orange hairs.
They got a very light tea yesterday, I find they are still too green but that will work in my favor when I re-veg them.
The clones of these are doing well, I've been trying out these full spectrum bulbs, I think they suck so far so I'll be adding some daylight 2 footers in there soon.

Hey B,

salivating is not the word :hotbounce

I took a road trip and went to see Herbalizer last night, it was crazy, the vibe was awesone.
So I`ve nabbed a few testers a few days a go, they where dry last night.
I rolled up a fat one with my boys and we where stoned as fuck pretty much the whole concert lol.
For a tester it was pretty solid, a creeper stone, very much in the body and not too racy, flavour was also nice despite being darker than I want.

I give them to next weeken, they are still growing new shoots, the sprirals in the heads are still growing out

Chop Chop Chop :)

Hello all,

Well done Suby.

With regard to the bulbs...are you refering to ceramic metal halide the retro fit bulb?

Still very well done.

Much props to you.

Hey MI, thanks for the props man

I am stoned as fuck right now (40minutes later hihi) on testers that are completely dry and 1 week old.
I'm thinking they are ripe and ready but I'm tempted to keep going a few days, today the leaves where alot lighter except the bud leaves towards the top.
I can't seem to see signs of finishing in the bigger one and the second is foxtailing like a mofo near the top bud.

The bulbs are 2ft neon bulbs for a standard 2ft neone ballast (~15$), the FS bulbs where on sale and it said they where excellent for plants and animals so I figure why not?
I've had a little spinout and single bladed leaves a week ago in my veg cab running the FS exclusively.
It may be temps or they are too close to the bulbs but thus far I'm not liking them.
I might get some "daylight" bulbs tommorow.

Are there other options as far as what bulb I can use with my ballast?
I may want to use som PMS bulbs in there.
That's a 250W MH, the same seedlings in another grow are alot fatter under a 430W HPS.
I'm wondering if it's the spectrum or the wattage that made the difference.
The buds are alot denser and full under a MH BUT It's the first time I grow this strain OR flower under a halide so...

A fellow member PM'ed me about dropping my bulb vertical and doings a stadium style setup, any thoughs on that?
The though had crossed my mind but I'm thinking of revegging these and going for a second run while I get a better rooted and bushier bonsai mum going.
If i need 12 rooted clones for a SOG I need another cab badly, vegging in a presswod box sucks :spank:

Thanks everyone :rasta:

those flowers are looking really awesome man.
perfectly dialed, kudos

one question, if the pot is in the fridge, are the beers in the closet?

Hey Frank nice to have you along for the ride.

The real beer is across the room in another fridge lol.
Nothing like cracking open a really cold beer while working on your plants

As far as being dialed in, they had it pretty rough for the first half of flowering so I'm pretty sure I'll do better next run.
This strain has really impressed me in every aspect.

I had no def's along the way, this soil mix has been awesome, it's my second run with it and I'll keep it as is for the next while.
I will be adding more perlite to this mix, the coco has balanced out the porosity but I'm sure there is unused soil in that container and that usually results from not enough perlite, when you get a well grown rootball the rest follows.

Gotta love organics for simplicity, in total I brewed 4 teas and watered 3 times in veg and 4 times in flowering.
The soil mix did all the work, it was properly composted and the soil is recycled.
I never adjustd ph, my tap water was 6.7 and about 150ppm's, my tap water is perfect for organic growing IMO.
I used Liquid Karma only once on this run with some high P bat guano at mid flowering.

Pretty cheap and low user input exceot the odd foliar feed.
I liked the fulvic acids this time around and I had visible results from using the teas.
I recommend to ALL growers to use teas, rvrn non organic grows can benfit from them.

Next grow I'm doing lacto baccilus and adding it to the soil and foliar feeding with it.
Jaykush has an excellent thread on LB in the organics forum :2cents:

Next Saturday is D-day...
I have a few more days to go but I can't find my fucking jewlers loupe to check trichomes.

Thanks guys :rasta:

I've done rooms, closets, tents, outdoor but this is my first fridge :).
It's a bit like the elctric car, it's not good for everybody but it has it's place.
Winters here are too cold for me to run an electrifed suby :badday: but I can grow in a thickly insulated plastic box

Sweet dude, my buddy had a similar setup a few years ago, I think he was pulling 2-3oz from his fridge every 2-3 months from clones. Great stuff man!

Time to Harvest

Time to Harvest

I found my loupe and they are ready and it so happens I have time today so here they are finished at last :jump: .
I probably pulled 2oz off this, I figure with 12 clones in there I can get closer to 4 easily :violin:, we'll see.
The pot was very well rooted despite the soil mix being low in perlite, not just the outside of the soil, the center rootball was very dense.
I can definately see the benefit of transplanting with the rootball nearly above the soil line, you can see roots to the very top of the container.
I'm in reveg with the larger one, I moved all my plants into the fridge on 20/4 to get thing rolling, I'll be reveging for clones only, next grow will be a 1tub grow with about 10 gallons of soil.

can you see the ladybug?

To be continued, thanks for sharing and the props :friends:

Yeah reveg is not always pretty, they spinout and go nuts, I have 1 clone of the best pheno but it`s not rooting, the leaves are fine but it won`t root after like 40+days...

I have 2 good size plants ready to flower but before I flower I want a decent veg cab.

I`m thinking I will sprout more seedlings that JJS gave me, I have some G13 crosses I want to try out and this open time is a great time for me to pull them out.

The clones I had under fluros have really taken to the MH, they are due for a transplant soon.

If I do seedlings I think I will forget using a tub and flower in a bunch of 2L soft drink bottles, this way I can cull they easily and get a grow goin quickly.
Sexing trained plants in 2gallon containers wasn`t very productive, ay least in the 2L bottles I can transplant them into the tub once sexing is over.

You did a great job my friend for growing in a fridge. Thats a pretty good yield for in a small space like that.

They look like they could have gone another week or ten days but maybe they just look that way from the pics. I'm glad to see the crosses are going to be good.....

Hey JJ, great to have you drop by.

I agree they could have gone another week, the buzz is a super creeper stone and very bodily and racy, it's been curing for awhile and it's gotten much better.
I have one I picked 2 weeks later (other grow site) and it's totally yellow and purple, I'm looking forward to tasting it to see how it compares, the smell is dangerous, VERY strong and defies all laws of plastic and sealing.
Once again thanks for the great gift, it has really got me back into growing, I had been bummed about shutting down my previous grow and this got my fire going again.

Very good news is thast after 40 days the clone of the larger plant I was keeping in my home rooted, too a alot of care but it worked.
I am sprouting some seeds and I'll grow her out mom style.

I got a little under 2 oz's, I'm pretty sure I can do alot better now that I have a feel for the system and strain.

Way cool! I've always thought this would be a great way to hide a small personal grow, especially for folks with little private space inside or out.

I mean, who is going to look twice at a humming fridge in the garage? Plus, its not unusual for people to put a lock on the "beer fridge", making it somewhat thief proof.

On top of all that, you can get a old, but working fridge for a song! And I suppose with a strong fan you could get by with a non-working one for free.

Great job! I'll be refering people to your project here.
