Out of control Diesel

P

Pandemic

Flowered at 4" - 5"

A

These got this: Worst time for stress

B

The first ones are 36" +/-, second group are 10 inches taller at 45" - 46".
This is the result of an operator error, it would be easy to blame it on the timer but who was setting the timer.....

I'm already bending over the tallest ones. Same plant in this pic, find the bulge and follow it up!

What do I do?

Just keep on keepin' on. My super cropped stems straightened up almost immediately. Have some twist ties handy. Topping pissed mine off somethin' awful. She exploded with bigger faster growth.

How far into flower are you Pandemic........If you`re at least couple weeks bloom or so you`ve still got a couple weeks of stretch left........

If they`re done hopefully.......Try this for salvaging the grow and increasing your yield........

You can take all the fan leaves off and it`ll stop em in their tracks.......Jrosek`s got a thread showing how he strips em @ 21 days bloom and again @ 45 days.......Strips em clean and has been doin this quite some time dialin this system........

I`m not sure what kinda budsites you`ll get outta the diesel with such elongated nodes but He`s killin it with Bogbubble doin over 2 lbs. under a single 600 HPS......

Size does matter is the thread in the soil category........Starts on page 3....Pretty impressive .......Growin buds that hardly even need trimming........My kinda shit.......I hate trimmin..........Oh how I hate trimmin.........Rather take a :asskick: .......

Take care and good luck.......DHF......... :joint: ...........

i am experiencing out of control nyc diesel plants now too. i have 3 girls on day on day 29 of flowering and i have had to super crop them like crazy... i put them into flowering at about 9 inches tall too... they are flowering like crazy and they don't seem to be too effected by the super cropping (even though soma says not to touch a supercropped plant for a week while it recovers)

i quickly learned not to try to re-bend at the same place you bent earlier because it will cause the stem to split on the outside edge. luckily i have a glass lens over my light so that the plants are protected from the heat of the bulb.

they still smell great!!! can't wait to smoke it!

Thanks, I will try this. This method will help me out with airflow too.
I am just passing a month in flower and though I believe the stretch is over the fear of mold is beginning to nag at me.

is there a way to lower your table?
Unfortunately no. I would have to drop the level in my res if I wanted to get it any lower.

Thanks for the ideas guys,
I don't want to get out the big-daddy-fiskers.

Oh and,

I twist-tied them and this morning, my trellis was lifted up a few inches :nanana:.
I may have to hang a weight off the tops.

Good luck dude, 9 inches too tall? Gaw, I couldn't imagine flowering a 9 inch tall plant!
From what I am seeing here that would give me over a 7 foot tall diesel tree.
How tall are your girls?

Respect the Diesel

Pandemic

I took the suggestion of stripping the main stem fan leaves.
Went in and got dirty with the first side.

This is after two buckets of fans were stripped. You can hardly tell.

I went in yesterday to start on the other side. I rolled up the door and was looking at this

Day 33 people! From this to this in under 48 hours:

I honestly can't lower the tables. They are sitting on 5 gallon buckets and they are just tall enough to keep a full reservoir.
Even if I did drop the res I would have a hard time wrestling a 4x4 with 100L of hydroton.

I just have to reconfigure how I have the light mounted.
It's hung from a 2x4 in hanger brackets.

I cut a piece of 1x4 six feet long. This is so it can span the top of the frame.

Installed some hooks

Slid it in on top, not a lot of room here

Access

Relocating

Yeah!

Now to get that 2x4 outta there.

It was something, cutting that with an angle grinder during lights out.
The shower of sparks over the buds. Neato.
Wish there was someone else that could have gotten a shot of that.

A new day!

Happy with my work

Happy with my work

I'm taking it one day at a time.
Maybe I can shim up the 1x4. I will get another 2 inches there.

I'm relaxing right now: Gumby and Iso

Hey Pandamic real nice work. If they are done stretching looks like you will get a bumper crop. I love the posture of your diesels, what particular diesel are you growing? Cheers.
Johny.

Good job Pandemic.......Now strip all the rest of the fans off like Jro`s talkin bout............

They`ll start beefin up and you`ll be amazed how well they do........Got a couple Bro`s at other sites that just stripped their Chem D`s nekkid couple weeks ago and the plants are swellin like crazy.........They`re stoked.....

I mean go look at Jrosek`s 8" bare stems turn into 1/2 oz. colas.......This is changing the way a whole lotta growers have been doin things and is gonna up the gpw`s for sure as yields increase........

Again......Killer job on gettin the light raised up....

Take care and good luck.......Peace......DHF........ :joint: .......

Dehumidifier Orientation

Dehumidifier Orientation

Thanks buddie, It is Wonder Diesel (Williams Wonder x ECSD) - Rez

Alright, I have gotten the light up.
I have plucked all I dare to, I hate reaching very deep into the jungle and feeling around, I 49 plants to contend with in each side.
Plus my stubby T-Rex arms can not reach all the way back, missing about the last 3 - 4 rows.

Now Mold Concerns

Today I am advancing one side 12 hours so that I can have everybody on the same light schedule. This is so that during lights on I can roll up each door and add some extra ventilation (thinking box fans or 16" oscillating). I am also going to add my dehumidifier back into the equation and that brings me to how I should orientate it.

My flower room is at the end of a hallway. Inside the room there are my DIY tents and about 3 feet of space before the wall. The three options I "think" I have are to just plop it in the space I have (heat concerns). Place it in the doorway with the warm exhaust blowing down the hallway (dry air is going the other way). Or place it by my cold air return as I have it running 24/7 to circulate the whole house.

My Dehumidifier is a 70 pint with high/low settings and 3 & 6 hour on/off options. What would you folks do to guard against mold?

I have covered up my beds as I think that was a significant source of humidity last time.

I dont know if setting it in front of the cold air return is going to work. Basically you are treating the whole house? I would probably put it in the room with the plants

Wow Pandemic I am really interested in this strain, aswell rez's williams wonder. Glad to hear you got rid of some of those fan leaves so the lower nugggies can swell too! I cant wait to see the result keep us posted and keep up the good work. Peace.
Johny.

I'm with you yamaha, so the question is all the way in the room or in the doorway and intake facing or exhaust facing.
This is preventive maintenance right now.
