purps micro budmachine

First off id like to thank everyone here and the staff for running such a great site and contributing knowledge to anyone who is interested in producing their own bud..Credits to microru for the basic design..I've been a member here for a couple years just reading up tryin to soak in as much knowledge as i possibly could while patiently waiting for the day i'd have a grow of my own..time has finally come to get it up and going :headbange
I'll be growing in a set of pioneer speakers with the dimensions:19.8" Height x 9.88" Width x 11.75" Depth..heres a picture for better reference http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5280869&findingMethod=rr
First run i'll start from seed get my mother and after that it will be a small staggered/perpetual harvest.SOG style
Veg speaker will start seeds in and take two clones from female to flower one plant in each speaker
1 pc fan 120 mm pc fan for exhausting my veg box
Flower speaker will house 1 plant lst'd and will consist of the following:
2 42 watt cfl:
2 pc fans: 120 mm pc fan rated at 75 cfm and a standard 80mm pc fan inside the box for circulating the air and blowing the stalks, will have passive intake holes on front of box
Micro carbon scrubber: probably similar to sugabears version
CO2 canister for supply of fresh CO2 to flower cab

So stay tuned and ill have pictures up here soon when i start constructing my micro cabs

thanks for the interest..grab a seat pop some corn and light a joint as im sure you guys will enjoy this sleek very very stealth design and also help me along the way where it is needed..the speakers will be 100% lightproof and the only thing that will be physically noticeable from the outside will be the 2 2inch holes on the back which will be facing towards a wall anyways :rasta:
waiting on that digital camera to get here so i can get some pictures up for you guys..should be in by next week

wishbone thanks alot man...i might have failed to mention that im not electrically inclined at all though ha...only thing i've ever wired were lights in my box and the pc fans other than that have no electric experience or knowledge

its been pretty busy around here..tryin to find time to work on my boxes has been hard but i have had a chance to do a few things..will post pictures tommorow of my stealth setup and also the progress that has been made so far..stay tuned :joint:

freezerboy...thats the thread that inspired me to initially construct this cab..genius cab he has i must say..i would love for him to come back around since i have a few questions that i really need answered..thanks for the lookout bro

i know its been a few days but its been real busy around here and hard to find time to work on the boxes..i do however have some updates of the construction so far..still need to cut holes for my exhaust fans and mount the lights but besides that i have completely gutted both speakers, painted insides flat white, and wired my pc fans to 12v dc adapters..

^^My personal studio/stealth speaker growboxes :muahaha:

^^Front of flower speaker with mesh screen taken off

^^Back view with removable panel taken off

^^2 120mm pc fans with three speed control switch allowing for maximum amount of cfm while still keeping a quiet stealth sound :rasta:

^^^I need some suggestions as to what i could buy or construct to use as light traps for the two bottom holes which will serve as my intake holes..Needs to be on inside of box 100% light proof and pretty slim considering that the first row of plants will be pretty much directly behind these holes with only an inch or two gap between the holes and the soda bottles
Any suggestions would help
Stay tuned for more update pictures on construction of the boxes

I gotta see this. Best new micro stealth I think I've seen. PC's are cool, but a nice big speaker enclosure... Bad ass.

I use sanitary PVC elbows. They're black. I don't know if you have the room for them but they work great. Get em at lowes or home depot. Good luck w your grow :joint:

Check blue_adept's rubbermaid tub thread. He fabbed up some light traps from sheet metal that could be low profile enough for you, or else modded to scale down. You don't have to use sheetmetal either - you could use cardboard, or sheet styrene (hobby stores sell sheets of this plastic in all kinds of thicknesses, which can be glued together with regular model glue).

green member..thanks bro for stoppin in and checkin out my thread..ive used the pvc elbows once before when helping a friend construct a growbox of his own but its been a good while since then and i don't quite remember how large they were..will have to stop by local hardware store tomorrow and take a look at them to refresh my memory..the mbox is a nice piece of hardware..gets the job done for damn sure :joint:

lollypop..thanks for the look..much appreciated..im going to check out the pvc elbows but if they are too large for my box and i need an alternate option i will definately make a trip to the hobby shop and pick up some of the plastic material you mentioned and fab up a few of those traps on a smaller scale

will be working on the boxes tomorrow and should have pictures up of the progress by tomorrow night :rasta:
stay tuned

worked on the boxes for a little while today..got the lights wired and mounted in both cabs..all i have left to do is mount exhaust fans and figure out a way to light proof my intakes..went and checked out the pvc elbows today but they are just too big for my application and cant be used..will have to try and think of a better and smaller design for my boxes..am goin to sit back take a few rips on this cigarillo and let my mind get creative :smoker:

Yeah you need like 2" or less of total overall depth... and it's definitely doable if you whip it up custom but the smaller you try to make it, the more it has to sacrifice airflow. If your calculations depend on having that intake move as much air as possible, then you are stuck between a rock and a hard place...

I actually got a good idea for you... no way in hell I can describe it though so I'll see if I can whip something up in photoshop. BRB!

lollypop..yea man i came up with an idea i thought might work last night when i was gettin all creative and chilled out on a stick of some sticky green! but im not sure how much airflow will be sacrificed by this design and am not really sure if ill be able to keep a negative pressure inside my box either  .. so i'd love to see what you come up with and we can see which design would better suit my situation

if anyone else has any thoughts about this im open to all suggestions
