Sup folks grab a chair if you like. This is my budget pc. I recycled an old gateway pc, kinda tall. Pain in the as$ to gut it but I managed it, took a little while. I reused the fans inside of it also reused a cell phone charger to power fans. The lights are two 65 watt Bright Effect CFLs from Lowes, I bought them in July. I spent about 15 a piece. Ive heard bad stuff about them but no problems so far. I grew some auto ak47s a few months ago. Too bad I have no pics, though was a fun interesting strian. As far as seeds I using bagseed. Also bought a timer from Dollar General, that was 7.

So Im currently running 16/8 veg, probably for about a month. Not too sure yet. The pics are a few days old, probably post new ones today or tomorrow. Srry if seems as if Im rambling a bit, just a typical funday sunday with mr. rum. Ok here are some pics.

Looking good! I'd "welcome" you to IC, but I'm new myself. I'm only a couple of weeks ahead of you in my grow run. (This is my first try every though, so should be interesting)

Is there a reason you're doing 16/8 instead of the normal 18/6 that most people seem to suggest/use?

you have two seedlings in each container? is that just until you figure out which are females? how long do you plan to veg in that case before switching to 12/12?

I figured that it would help minimize the stretch when I get ready to flower. They seem to be growing a little slow, though appear to be in good health except for the runt. That little one hasn't attempted to do much.

I dont have a scrubber yet, plan on doing further upgrades to it. So far though temps are running perfect.

Hehe I'm not hating! I had a hell of a time light-proofing my own PC and it's still not 100.00% perfect. Best of luck to you and your ladies! :canabis:

I know thats right. Not really worried too much about light, have the unit in a spare closet. Speaking of light, my buddy gave me a 100 watt hps outdoor light. Im going to ghetto rig it. I swear if you give a pothead a pile of trash, he'll either rig a bowl or growbox.


Chances are Im not going to run a scrubber. Im really not worried much by smell, I don't think three small plants will stink the whole house. Besides there are other means off masking smell.

Lol, you have to keep the green thumb exercised if thats the only exercise you do. I would like to upgrade to a bigger space,but don't really have extra space. But hey this keeps the hobby alive.

Ugh operation has been shut down. Rigged up the hps. Temps were running ok in the box. Had a little thermometer. Exhuast temps were about 80-83 while inside was about 85. But I think 100 hps is too much , too close for such little space just too intense. Leaves were burning. Well time to bust it up. Going to put the CFLs back in and do 12/12 SOG. Will update this grow later.

Yeah too strong of a light will do that, it bleaches and burns the leaves.
I ran a 400W in less than 4 quare feet and had the same proble, temps where OK but plants went berserk.

I'd get that on 12/12 asap. My experiance has shown that BAGSEED grows way wild and tall. And yes, can over grow a scrog screen, especially with cfls. GOOD LUCK!!!

Well since I messed up I decided to re-do it. I put the cfls(130watts) back in. Instead of doing SCROG I decided to do SOG. Extreme SOG. Now this may be overkill on the plants, but Im not going to kill any till sexing-- not a bad germ rate either 33/36. They're about 5-6 days old on 12/12 in a shoebox. My understanding they should show sex by day 20-25?! The seeds are F2 of bagseed that I grew outdoors this summer. Im aiming on "Lowryder" height plants with max yeild possible. I don't know if my math is correct but think 1.0 -1.75 Oz is possible, maybe apporaching 2 Oz. I've got superthrive, miricle grow fert(tomatoe) and bloom buster(10-52-10) that will be used later.

Ive got pics in my gallery of the ones outdoors.

So do you think I'm desperate or mad? :muahaha: :bashhead:

I'd recommend switching to 12/12 right away.

With that many seedlings you're going to run out of space REALLY fast.

You also aren't working with feminized seed so you're going to have to pull the males. You'll want to pull the males out of that soil box before they grow a big root system (to die and rot after you pull it) so you'll want to pull them as soon as possible.

Bagseed, eh? You'll most likely end up with several plants that want 10 weeks or more to finish. Alongside those you may get some that finish as fast as 45 days 12/12 (Skunk #1 comes to mind)

It's Always a good idea to keep root systems separate when you're not sure exactly how a plant will grow.

Not saying your setup isn't doable (I've had 70+ seedlings that had roots ripped and torn when the males came out) just that you'll find reasons to change it as time wears on and you observe what's what.

Good luck as you're going to get some great meds out of that. :)

Hey man, Karma, It's all about doing whatever, However ingenious, to try to grow ya own Herb Mon..
I seen a grow that was growing from a lil Medicine bottle, crazy, dude copped some herb too, not much, but it is this you keep in mind, as I do, even growing with bagseed..

You grew it yourself, with your care, and Love for the Herb Mon...

Really I've read about some crazy MICRO grows here and other Sites, and about PC grows..
I read about a guy, on another site about 2 years ago,had a Sodium Halide, a 50,(Massive cooling Issues solved buy LOTS of cfm via a cool tube) I think, grew almost 2 zips in a PC box about this cats size PC Box, about the same size using SOG...Open the side, looked like a solid box of green "stuffed" inside the box...

Yeah I know its crazy to have that many in one little spot, but its working. Nice green plants(even purple) is showing on leaf stems. They're about 1.5-2.5 inches high. I may have given the incorrect date, but they were planted Nov 7, pretty much sprouted the 8th and 9th.

I was inspecting them this morning a couple confirmed females. Im surprised they are sexing early, considering this weekend they will be a solid two weeks old on 12/12. :jump:

They haven't really stretch too bad, most are working on their 4th node while some are still 3 nodes. The way they're are growing in the bin reminds me of soybean fields. Which I sort of got the idea from. Pics will come later. Eventually I'll have small "great balls of fire". :joint:
