where are you getting the light fixtures to screw all those cfl's into? i went to home depot and really don't even know where to look. the closet thing i've seen to that ghetto hood pictured above are the bathroom vanity's but at very expensive. what type of socket or whatever do i need to buy?

Wavedash - I got my fixture at Lowes on clearance for $4.88...I couldn't pass it up its got 4 sockets, then you buy 4 2-way socket splitters screw them in and now you've got 8 sockets...
Bozo - I've found that with it's hat on, the fixture directs much more light straight down..IMHO it's better for use over a tray...I'm gonna try using it over this ebb n flow, till flowering then it's off to the Fall room w/ the HPS thowie...

Bozo CFL's work wonders inside a cabinet...I personally know growers who use nothing nut CFL for veg & flower...Did you check out that link to the $20 150w HPS's. with some decent ventilation it will do wonders under the stairs as well as in the closet or a cabinet IMHO...you seem to be doing well though with just CFL's...But at 20 bones, it's just a thought...I'm thinking about getting some to mount vertical down low to give light to some of the bottom growth on some biggun's...wuddaya think...

I think there are reports of cheapo 150w ballasts sucking up over 400 watts after a few months of use.
Those econolights are excellent for getting started. As soon as you've got a bit of cash from not buying smoke you should really upgrade to a quality light.
Also change your bulb each harvest. You'll get a better harvest each time as the bulbs tend to lose their edge after 2 months. (they're only about $5 apiece for a case of them)

regarding a lost shipment and, while he isn't willing to resend, he is
willing to send me a couple of freebie packs
plus, i got the confirmation e-mail today regarding my second attempt
to get beans and they say they have shipped my order of regular
AK-47, White Rhino and Pure Power Plant plus the freebie which is
supposed to be a Mazar Afghan cross.
