i agree with this statement 100%.
i've finished over 100 brick weed females. just germed a few more, hoping to find that holy grail. most have indica genes, that was a surprise at first. for me they've finished anywhere from 50-140 days indoors. most sweeter skunky types around 80-100. occasional hermies(check for light leeks, that was my problem). a few didn't get me high and i used them for cooking. some yielded like a mofo, 4,5 oz with 2 month veg. some are pathetic runts with no smell. you gotta know when to pull em if they're taking up resources. they can grow forever, expanding on the same bud spots. some keepers have a soaring eagle on speed high, which i love. good dutch genetics are almost always better smoke in my opinion.
pictures of sensimelia brickweed acquired in mexico recently. dirt cheap, high was worth the 200 pesos+tip.
here's a few pictures of sativa doms that i've kept around. good for variety smoking but nothing stellar. i wish i had pictures of the one keeper i never kept. the high was the best ever and the reason i'm still cracking mexican seeds today. fucking amazing... no ceiling high.

Wow thats amazing and i didnt even consider using seeds found in "commercial" weed.
I was assuming they were simply crap and only the good label seeds were good.
I dont really buy weed anymore but ill tell my buddies to keep their seeds if they find any in their weed from now on!

Over the year, collect those seeds, the ones you might have tossed. Start 12 of them, with a couple clfs. Grow them out. You will find something interesting. Sometimes a real 'keeper'. You then keep it. Reveg/clone then go turn on a big light. this growing stuff takes time, once you get it down, you'll be asking why I did'nt do this earlier?
Don't rush out and just buy stuff. Find the right plant for your situation, then let her rip! You can grow excellent weed from seeds of 'good herb. Be a St.Stephen

I'm in the NE US, so it's possible I got my bagseed genetics from Canada or maybe it was local H.G. stuff - it's all a mystery to me. The small buds were all dryed out & busted up in the bag & i didn't even get a chance to smoke it - but WOW! - I'm a believer in UFO seeds now...
Just got some more tiny UFO's bs's - will be poppin them in the next week - hopin' their sativa girls...

Oh yea grow that shit out... even shwag seeds can be good, usually that is the case with bag seed its usually really good or complete crap. The smoke is interesting because you have heard nothing about what your about to smoke (unless you know strain).

So a friend of mine has a few good bag seeds, and one seemed to "take off" only problem is... it looks a lot different, either a mutant, or some kind of crab grass or something. Is it possible to get weird strains that have thin narrow first leaves, looks almost as i said, like grass, and not the right kind! I'll try to get a pic later!

I'm growing what i think is an early bubblegum variety that shows single leaves in the beginning, then 3 for a while, finally, a real 5 fingered leaf appears after it's 8" high. It's all a mystery to me....

Thank you for the encouragement there old yeller, either ill get a big ass weed, or some weed! We'll see, ill let you know if it develops better leaves. and good luck to you

Im growing some mexican brick shwag seeds in a rubbermaid tub grow. I lst'd them and its pretty crazy. They have been flowering for about a month or so now. I got 3 plants and each one is a different variety. One is VERY skunky, another is VERY fruity...I named her fruity tooty, and the last dont smell at all. So I dunno. Havnt smoked them yet. Should have some finished bud around the first of december. Im sure looking forward to it!!!! Hope your grow goes well. You can check my grow log. Ill be updated pics in a couple days.

Depends on your definition of waste of time.You'll grow out some crap,no doubt.I like the longer flowering varieties.80 days and longer almost always turns out some top notch herb.Also,if you can learn to master a Mexican Sativa indoors,there's nothing they sell in the Dam that you can't grow,bro.Knowledge is power.Check out this bagseed cross I made.The father is the most potent short flowering Mexican hybrid I've grown.Sadly,he carried a hermie trait.moses224 said:Would this be a waste of time or could I get a good result from the grow....
