i've actually used the GC in a few crosses. i crossed it to an unknown sativa and the resulting offspring is named Adub (named after a good friend who passed away). the adub has maby two or three distinct phenos that are almost identical except for the structure of the plants. the adub has the crack's acrid, rotten fruit/skunk smell but had a little more in the way of potency than the GC momma (also a bit of an improvement in the duration department which is one thing people constantly complain about with the GC). one pheno is a bit branchier and the other pheno has the squat structure of the GC. i also crossed it to annaC's biko to make a strain i call "basehead". we're still in the testing phase with this one so the info is limited at this time. i have also recently considered crossing it to the mazar-i-sharif freebies that just went out. if i'm not mistaken, the GC is already mostly afghani so with a few more BX's (to another ghani) we should be able to develop something close to a GC IBL (this is still in the EARLY planning phase and this will be our first attempt at this sort of project but it's one we're insanely excited about). these will most likely be for our personal use and not for sale but we may do a larger run down the line and send em in for freebies. the GC seems to be pretty dominate in bud structure, aroma, and potency. it makes an excellent mother for breeding and all the hybrids i've tried have been amazing. i thought about sending in a few packs of my adub and basehead as freebies but i would only have a few packs of each and wasn't sure if it was even worth it. both were done in small runs to test the GC for what genes she would pass on so neither has been stabilized but they are both amazing fwiw.

i have been meaning to get a jornal up (or at least some pics) but i literally feel like i have a hundred projects that would be more interesting (even though adub has been a personal favorite for some time now). i will make a conscious effort in the next week or so to try and at least get a little info up and ill post a link when i get it finished. adub became somewhat of a local legend, it's actually named for a good friend who passed away after being struck by lightning (dude was larger than life and any strain bearing his name had to be a winner). it's actually a lower yielder than the GC momma but the smoke is unlike anything else i've tried. the effects are almost identical to nitrous oxide, very quick and straight to the top of the head with a strong lightheadedness that lasts well over an hour. i came to the realization yesterday that i only have a few of the original adub beans left which means there will be no freebies of the original cross as we lost the daddy soon after making her (i do have some other things in the works for the end of the year/beginning of next year including a possible GC IBL). i am considering doing an adub backcross to the original GC momma (which is possible) and sending those in as Adub Bx1's. i've only seen a handful of GC crosses around here (and i don't recall ever seeing any at the bay or boutique) so we will be working on changing that, hopefully as early as the very beginning of the year.

does the 43 day flowering time show up in the crosses.
honestly, 43 days is a little off. it actually finishes (some amber heads but mostly milky) in about 60 days. in hydro you can get her done around 50 days. the gc does pass on the short flowering time to it's offspring. this is one of the areas the GC is really dominate. i just put up a report on one of my GC crosses (Adub) here... http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=102909 it finishes around 70 days but the daddy was pretty sativa dom. so it definitely helped to bring the flowering time down.

the last ten days are when they REALLY swell. not only that but if you take em around 60-70 days they are truely crippling. shit will seriously give you bad amnesia. i do have to say that the decreased flowering time is a real perc in breeding her though. she will cut a hybrid's flowering time in half.
