I grew AI for a while.

It was the first thing I tried to grow, I had the water directly on the stem of the plant which caused this:



and the pump broke while I was out of town on my hydro and it caused this:



Yet even with me messing it up I still ended up with about 5 colas that were as big around as a coke can in a 2g hydro active drip bucket.

This thing preforms. I could only imagine what it would do with a skilled grower growing it. I got the seeds from Nirvana though, through a 3rd party seed vendor. I didn't let it go very amber, because I didn't want it to get mold/Powder on it, so it was cut real early, maybe 20% clear, 75% cloudy and 5% amber and it still melted me a little. (I had not smoked in a while though because of availability and I had to move out of cali to a non medicinal state) but I also have Insomnia and this helped me a lot after I got the grow down.

I also had a 90% germ rate, which a lot of people complain about nirvana beans, I also had a weird tri-branch pheno which really put out some buds, I wish I had mothered it but at the time I had no way of keeping it around.

I have alot of trouble sleeping, any decent indica or indica dom hybrid will probably help... especially if harvested on the ripe side.
Personally the best I've found to go to bed with is Herijuana... but, it will not make me tired if smoked in the middle of the day. It is so much of a body stone that if you take a toke and lay down you just can't help but relax and probably pass out. But I have no problem toking and going about everyday tasks as long as I don't over indulge...

i agree on the indica's helping on sleep. the problem with them however is that they often have a roof. you should try to preserve that favorite "go-to-bed" strain for only smoking right before you go to bed.

this helps me for two reaons, the body is not full of those particular cannabinoids all day, so the effect is more noticeable.

and the subliminal effect of the body getting used to that this is my bedtime strain. after this smoke it is time for bed. so automatically my body reacts to that strain with familiarity to sleep.

i would have to warn on the effects on the mind and body when you use this tecnique, you should only do so if you are awake to the physical and mental effects of your strain. because such a repeated use of a particular strain in combination with an action is going to influence you mentally and physically.

you should therefor mix it up abit.

ps: you can see by my nick that i live in a place where the sun doesnt set for 2 months in summer and doesnt show for 2 months in winter. i know abit about insomnia. its not a curse you should know but a natural state of consciousness. try not to fight it, i know its hard because you are tired, but there is a reason for you going into that consciousness.

the cause of it is somewhere else, but that my friend is a journey.
 
Couple of suggestions. Try making cannabutter and then make cookies or something, so you can eat it instead of smoking. Eat some a couple hours before bed, it will last all night but be wore off by morning. I find it works a lot better than smoking because it lasts much longer and the effects are different.

Second, try a little melatonin right before bed. All my life I've been troubled by waking up at 3:15 a.m. Melatonin has completely eliminated it. It's cheap, natural and effective.

A friend of mine got a cookie from a dispensary, and me and the gf each ate a 1/4 of a 10x brownie, and we all ended up falling asleep totally on accident! I have insomnia problems too, so for something to make me fall asleep at like 10pm, pretty amazing. Something to keep in mind if you make it yourself, you have to keep proportions in mind. ie, you need so much weed in the butter for each serving to have the desired dose. Also, like Bob said, eat it a couple hours before, the effects take a long time to set in, but man, it is potent! Good luck, keep us updated!

I second what KindHypnos stated. The Herijuana knocks me the fuck out.
With force! But, I do tend to over indulge. LOL Nothing like waking up in a puddle of drool to start the day.

the last 3 times I have gotten it from the clinic I have been passing out every day at like 2 pm for a couple hours.

Of the strains I have tried C4 has been the most narcotic/sleep inducing, though my frame of reference has been mostly sativa/indica hybrids. My goal buying C4 was a decent yielding sleep strain and it has fulfilled my expectations.


I love a sticky indica before bed. Especially helpful when I wake up in the middle of the night. When I would have normally spent 3 hours awake, a bag of vape and I'm out again till morning.

Much like sub...I have insomnia from back pain and too many tours in Bosnia and Iraq...lol

I LOVE Black Indica from Plan B Lordbudly..I have ran it in 2 or 3 crosses as well. Very good for sleep. So is GDP as someone else said. I really dig Misty from Nirvana. She has been in my stable for a LONG time...Look for strains around the1% CBD range...good times there.
