Dense Nugs??

If ya keep an eye on the amount of water a plant uses, yul see it starts -really- useing alot about 2-3 weeks in flower. This the begining of the high transpiration cycle I spoke of earlier. This will continue untill the flowering period is about done. Yul notice cuz it slows -way- down on water all of a sudden. At this point it's done building bud. If ya check it with a trich-o-meter at this time, yul see that some are still clear, but most will be cloudy.... If you run high PPMs ( 1200-1500 ) of co2 durring this cycle you better be ready to water and feed agressively!

Yup.........I was noticing that the last time I watered..........It usually only took about 16-18 oz of water before the water starts dripping from bottom of pots...........Now, I have to give at least 24-26 oz of water to get it to drip.........They have the munchies!!!!.........lol

I reckon I should have been alil more clear. When yer in veg, you may water every 5-6 days, but when ya hit that cycle in flower you may have ta water every other day! You have to water much more often because they are transpiring ( evaporating ) much more water threw the leaves. It does this because the plant needs alot more food durring flower to build bud. When it suddenly slows back down to them only needing water every 5-6 days again, there done. It's the natural process of a pot plant. BC

hm cool topic my best result's so far have been with big bud but it doesnt do anything for density. my guess is genetics r the best way to go, I think some people will squeeze nugs before they dry them to get a denser product. Imho I like the look of a nicely dried airy nug the dense ones often look almost intimidating to me.

many inexperienced people will stick with airy nugs if they provide a better bag appeal.

I am pretty stoked on some airy nugs but thats only if the potency doesnt harsh lack, some airy fluffy buds are the best smoke of all, imho.

Yeah, there are some bomb ass strains that have fluffy nugz, but there's nothing better than a rock hard, black/purple nug that shines in the lights IMHO.........Also, with how the market here in the bay area, if it's not purple, people don't wanna pay full price.........It could be some bomb ass Trainwreck, or some stanky ass Romulan from the clubs, and they want bulk prices like $35-$40 1/8ths or zips for $225-$250.........But if it's some purple, they'll pay $350 a zip without blinking an eye

it isn't just your area. I sold $65 1/8's of this plant....

...just because of the color. There wasn't anything special about it, imo, other than the color. People ate it up though.

Then when I have the dankest of danks like Double D or Sour D x OGK, I literally have to talk people into it. But I still hear, "man, when are you going to have that purple shit again."

Don't get me wrong, I love purple weed.........But where I'm at, people are just spoiled...........But as for me, I been into purple weed way before Grandaddy Purps or Grapes were even heard of.........Back when everyone called good herb KGB and shit weed "cess" or "stress".........I didn't just jump on the bandwagon, if anything, I'm driving the sum' bitch...........lol
