We started talking about the greatest rock album ever made,
A album thats an artistic masterpiece ,and perfect in every way .Funny thing with all the different choices of bands and albums .We both agreed on the same one...Our opinion ..the greatest rock album ever made

Pink Floyd - Animals

Its abouslutly perfect in every way ,every song is amazing .And the album plays like a story ,which each piece fitting perfectly in a puzzle. There's no other album that even sounds similar,Its so unique.

What do you think is the greatest rock album ever made??????Being someones favorite album ,doesen't necissarilly mean its the greatest one .But i want to hear what others think is the greatest one.

Oh..I both love and hate these kinds of threads. I love hearing other peoples' opinions on their greatest albums but these threads, at least in my opinion, are inclined to becoming huge arguments. Well either way I'll post my "greatest" rock album ever:

Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced :pimp3:

Jimi was a genius on fire...RIP

Whaaaat? DSOTM??? Naah, I believe Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Saucerful of Secrets, Ummagumma and Atom Heart Mother have that one beat hands down. Dark Side of the Moon ain't bad...the first 6 dozen times you hear it, after that.....

Machine Head, hell yeah, definitely one of the best albums. Ritchie Blackmore and John Lords are insane, synch so well together.

I would have to go for either Buffalo Springfield Again or Neil Young Everybody knows this is Nowhere.

THE Band's "Brown" album, circa 67'? Certified masterpiece. Not as rocky, tho.

Actual album just say's "The Band" on it . . . and it's kinda brown.

Too much good rock music :muahaha: !

Wouldn't call Pink Floyd a rock combo, lol! They are in their own league for sure!

If it comes to best album ever made, they will be in the first ten, with nearly every album!

I have so much favs:

Hendrix, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Wumpscut, Chopin, The Clash, Social Distortian, Nirvana, Zappa, Deine Lakaien, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elvis, Doors.................

Couldn't say whats best! Just say thanks, to all creative musicians!

well according to the list of best selling UK albums ever the top 10 are as follows

This is a chart made up of actual sales figures from the last 50 years," - the Official UK Charts Company.
The company took six months to trawl through everything from 1950s hand-written till receipts to current chart sales to come up with the top 100 list.

1. "Greatest Hits" (1981), Queen -- 5.4 million
2. "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" (1967), Beatles -- 4.8m
3. "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?" (1995), Oasis -- 4.3m
4. "Brothers In Arms" (1985), Dire Straits -- 3.9m
5. "Gold: Greatest Hits" (1992), Abba -- 3.9m
6. "The Dark Side Of The Moon" (1973), Pink Floyd -- 3.7m
7. "Greatest Hits II" (1991), Queen -- 3.6m
8. "Thriller" (1982), Michael Jackson -- 3.5m
9. "Bad" (1987), Michael Jackson -- 3.5m
10. "The Immaculate Collection" (1990), Madonna -- 3.4m

take out 2,4 & 5 as there POP (brothers in arms is a very soft rock at best)
that would put DSOTM in 3rd position

Ganja struetu?

Hmm

Great question
I will give up four, and bear in mind when you read these I was born in the early 70's

1. Pearl Jam - 10
Cover to cover, beginning to end, a great rock album. They have never matched this, a good dozen releases later, and have yet to match the magic of their major label debut.

2. Metallica- Ride the Lightning
This record blew my mind, the mixture of classical scales and the heavy rock, was just and still is incredible. master of puppets is a great album too, but nothing compared to this one

3 Soungarden- badmotorfinger
With one of the greatest vocalists of our time, and a progressive hard rock sound, this was a breakout record. Nothing gets me pumped up more than hearing the opening riff of "outshined" first thing in morning.

4 Alice in Chains - Dirt
Another great singer, with another absolutely great album. Like Pearl Jam, from start to finish a great record. It does not hurt that I can sing this album note for note as well
