Redundant Odor Control Strategies ?'s

I'm planning a micro grow and want to use rubbermaid grow boxes with the Doc's methods and passive hydro with the hempybucquet setup. My room setup is ideal, my roomies are cool with this and all my security issues are very easy to deal with save one issue: smell.

I need to have the most smell suppression in my room as possible. I know I'll be using small carbon filters on the roof stacks for my box's smell but beyond that, what else works well for bedroom smell elimination? I was thinking to buy a new air purifier and making a couple of these for redundant smell cleaning all the time, cycling out the refills between each one each month.

I'm also thinking a small oil evaporator running when I'm not at home wouldn't be a bad idea. I can get those oils on the cheap and a good safe heater for them isn't that expensive.

Opinions? Questions? Comments? Keep it civil but bring it on, please! I could use the help.

Masking the smell isn't the same as removing it. Carbon scrubbers are very effective, other than that, I've heard that vinegar is an effective smell-absorbant. I've used vinegar in the past to remove tobacco smell, but I haven't tried it with cannabis. Could work i suppose.

vaportek.... Its my understanding that they are all REZ uses and if they remove the smell of his grow room with his strains.... One in that second bedroom would be all you need... take a look through the Reservoir seeds thread for more info...

Security is Number 1! Odour control is one thing you just cant afford to skimp on

Sir, after looking at the REZ's empirical data and others who grow his strains, I'm convinced a combined strategy is best.

1. Carbon Filters for the box
2. VTek Carts for the perimeter
3. Oil evaporators for my own personal touch. (A new vaporizer that doubles as an oil burner is one hell of a justifiable budgeting expense. :D)

With all that, I think we can eradicate a small closet grow with ease and security to go and grow while living in a loft. It CAN be done and we have the technology.

Big ups to you and blessings that you gave me the tip and the direction to go in. Considering I've been so disappointed with certain top end home air purifiers it makes perfect sense that low end commercial systems should be the way to go. It's a costly expense on the up front but this is one of those things that will expand value over time.

Again, mad thanks and hope to have a growthread up soon. One love.
