It's probably crossed to an Afghan, there was an Afghan pheno, a Thai pheno and a 50/50 pheno.

A Pure Thai should be at least 20 weeks,

Where can a guy get pure thai seeds? I agree with Ganja Pusha, they should take at least 20 weeks if they are pure.

Well, I got to sample an exceptional Thai Hybrid at the weekend - Lemon Pie by Sonic Seeds, based on a stupendous pure Lemon Thai. I've just made a Purple Afghan x Thai cross and some pure Thai seeds too, if ya wanna know where to get em, drop me a PM.
I've been postin these pics in a few thread. I grew out a mystery seed that I got from a decent oz of herb when i was in Manhattan Beach, ca. I thought it was panama red based on some pictures i've seen, but now the more I see all these Thai plants, I'm thinking it could have been a Thai or a Thai cross cuz it was a pure sativa. Very unique plant to grow, during veg it produced these interesting pre-flowers on every branch during veg, it was like it was just begging to be flowered. Maybe it was a unique pheno but I swear when it was fully cured the smell was totally identical to Juicy fruit gum, the high was very energetic, great morning smoke. Don't have any pictures of the final product but it produced some very light fluffy buds, got a little over an ounce off the plant. Here are some pictures of it thru its growth, tell me what you guys think, possibly a Thai or Thai related? Also latest flowering pictures were about 35 days in.
Wow - that looks spectacular! Nice one! As for current progress, I still haven't started any more Thai yet, but it keeps arriving - latest batch are in green silk, and very flattened, like huge Weetabix. Hardly any seeds at all in this batch, which is great for smoking, but not so great for growing...

Thump88 , sorry to disappoint you , but there is no way thats a pure thai.....
I have a couple off highland thais thats been in flowering for 14 weeks and they are not even close to that thick buds.....
I dont have any good camera right now , so i cant show any pics

Hi guys,
I've grown Thai seeds, which were acquired from a no nonsense guy in NW Thailand near the Burmese border, maybe even from a little into Burma. Not sure, no GPS at that time (1996).
This is no 'wild' Thai but cultivated by 'pot farmers'.
It matures in 16 weeks. (1-2 weeks less from clone).
Very vigorous (2-3 inches growth/day), limey green plants. Insane stretch in flower. Doesn't stop growing for at least the first 6-7 weeks of flower.
Distance between internodes 1 foot and more.
Huge leafes on long petioles, 11 - 13 fingers 1 inch x 10 inches, edges deeply serrated.
Very fluffy buds. Smell spicy, peppery, slightly of coffee and of somesort of citrus.
The high was a long lasting, kinda 'everything is beautiful and nothing hurts' type.
I'm sure I have some non-digital pics of it somewhere. If I find them I try to scan them.
Dunno if the seeds I have will still pop. I might give it a try when/if I start my Haze grow. There's other stuff be be done first.
Made hybrids with it, Cinderella99 x Thai and South African Sativa x Thai, to make it manageable indoors. No stuff for the nervous types. Makes you wanna dance and sing to the Ramones.

That 2nd cross would be very similar to the old Durban Thai High Flyer from (I think) SSSC--a much admired and sought-after strain from long ago. I actually have a pack of these from Spice Bros but never gotten around to growing them.
Please tell us more about this cross--sounds wonderful...
