I just found this info on Mazar-I-Sharif that literally made me giddy. I think I just found my main strain for my outdoor grow next year.


Pure Afghan Landrace

Mazar-I-Sharif seeds produce a resin packed indica from Real Seed Company produces the legendary hashish known as "Shirak-i-Mazar" and "Milk of Mazar" in Afghanistan. There it is grown around the desert towns of Balkh, Mazar-i-Sharif and Sheberghan in the far north of Afghanistan, close to the modern borders of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

The people of these regions are a patchwork of Turkic, Tajik, Afghan and Pashtun tribes, and the history of Mazar-i-Sharif strains is likely to be equally complex. In fertile and well-irrigated soils these vigorous giants are capable of reaching 4 metres in height or more, and will produce a similarly enormous yield of intensely resinous flowers. Traditionally harvested in the first half of December with the onset of the brutal Central Asian winter, Mazar-i-Sharif plants will enjoy cold conditions, including snow, and will turn a deep blood red in low temperatures. Growers favour leaving the harvest as late as possible, sometimes into early January. Sieved "Milk of Mazar" garda is very resinous and so can be hand-pressed to make charas; it has a distinctively pungent, sweet aroma and a dreamily mellow high. Over-indulgence produces a mind-warping, immobilising and narcotic effect. Mmmmm.

Mazar-I-Sharif specifics:

* Cannabis genetics: Northern Afghan charas cultivar
* Type: Traditional pure bred landrace
* Variety: Pure Indica
* Height: can reach 3 to 4 meters in its natural environment.
* Yield: 1.5 to 2 kilos of dried flowers in its natural environment
* Aroma: Pungent, intense terpene aroma, classic Afghan, with some sweetness
* Harvest: December - January
* Characteristics: Exceptionally large indica strain with the classic wide leaves

yesterday i saw that Mr nice added some beans to the boutique so i grabbed a pack of black widow.....that should be interesting.

Well, I found out why it took so long for my first order of seeds from Seed Boutique to get to me. It seems that I will never be getting them. Instead I got a nice little envelope that was supposed to be carrying my seeds with a bright green piece of tape on it. Yes, you guessed it. Customs intercepted my first and only order from Seed Boutique. Now the thing that I have a problem with is the fact that both Seed Boutique and Seedbay (same company if I am correct) ship in exactly the same manner with the exact form of "stealth" packaging. Now I think we need to push for a change in this "stealth" to be a little less obvious, not so damn uniform. They pretty much scream MJ seeds from the U.K. All customs would have to do is set up a camera system to sort all of the envelops that look exactly like the ones that we get our seeds in and bam. No more seeds for us.

shiggs... sucks about your seeds, better luck next time. I agree they need to switch it up a bit to avoid interception. It would be in both ours and their best interest.

growdaddy... you should get some trees with those girls... that will be fun. I'm sorry you went to go see the game.. I watched it on tv and it made me puke. I am an A&M fan because my parents both went there and they brainwashed me hahaha.

Bush Grower i can happily say i am an outdoor grower, but damn it's a bitch!

Advice: Neem oil, concentrate, before you even see 'em. They're there, they just aint hatched yet. Bastards!

On with the grow. I threw some seeds in my buddies flower bed and what do ya know i got pot. I started out with 5, and now have 2 females and a strong little bastard thats been alive for 3 months and is not taller than your finger. (just pick one) It topped it's self and is looking healthier than ever, i just hop i can keep it around untill next season.

The ladies were just big enough when mother nature threw them into flowering. I mean perfect size for a low key grow. I go organic so it's been a little pricey, but i still try to manage. In fact i just saw my first white hair turn amber. (apologize for the lack of the technical term)

Any way, its hot as fuck and damn huricane season isn't helping either. I think i might have stressed one of my ladies out and might have a couple ball sacks, we'll see! I would love to go indoors, but i have already commented on expences... So do what ya can with what ya got right?

Planning a move back to the big D next year. Might just have to keep checking this thread and meet some kind folks before the move.

I don't even recognize THE BIG D anymore......spent most of my teen years around Oak Cliff and Cockrell Hill. in Dallas......lived in Big D when Kennedy was shot....used to go to the theater that Oswald shot that LEO in......wonder if it is still there??? used to make-out in the balcony.....those were the days!!!!!

Hey shiggs don't know you if you remember me our orders were out about the same time and state so i was interested in what happened to your order. well guess what i got my green tape last wednesday. which also was my fourth day without power. it was like a nice swift kick in the balls. went a total of 8 days no lights lost all my clones all the plants you see in my gallery lived but look like crap did the best i could. now i cant order seeds to start over but guess what? there is a thing called UBERSTEALTH! it is so good some people who used it thought they were sent a empty package so as soon as i quit feeling sorry for myself i am going to try it out i guess it is time to make the lemonade.
