ok finnaly swiched to 12/12. i mixed 1/2 veg and 1/2 bloom nutes. i think this weekend i'll change out the water in the res and refill with all bloom. and take clones. the screen is pretty full exept the front two plants are way smaller than the back two. I'm gonna keep pushing the big plants back under the screen to let the smaller ones catch up some. i think the front plants arent getting as much water recirculated as the back ones. next run i"m going to use 4 smaller water pumps. one for each bucket.

Looks like your doing a great job of getting those babies to spread their wings. Screen looks 60%-70% full already and your just flipping the switch, I'm no scrog pro by any stretch but I think you're going to have no problems filling out that canopy.

Nice job Sir.

a lil tip to lower your res temp. frozen ice jugs / water bottles drop it nice. just make up a few to rotate em out as they melt. helps prevent rot problems. your lasses are looking great still. way to go bro!

i pushed the tops under the screen again tonight. i think i will just let them grow now the screen is pretty full.

sir - i was doing the water bottle thing till i saw the diy res chiller from a water cooler in pontiac's diy link thread. but it works too well. i need to get a thermometer that will turn it on and off to keep it at the right temp. if anyone knows of one let me know. diy preferably or a cheep one to buy money's pretty tight right now. thanks all

Hi medtoker,
great work so far! Nice set-up too. I just love Sensi Star.
It's just a superb strain with an enormous resin production, good taste/smell and yield.
Feel yourself tagged :D and keep it green! :rasta:

Med, how do you find performance with that screen? i've always been sorta scared to use a screen that tight, and going with 4 inch square mesh.

is it pretty easy after the fact to recover the screen? and do the shoots make it through unassisted?

I cant compare it to any other screens because this is my first time using one. they do grow through it unassisted but it was kind of hard to push them back down to train them.

I got lots of pics. not too impresive but pics none the less.they seem to be coming along pretty good. i pruned alot of the shoots i didnt think would make it to the screen. at least on the plants up front i cant get to the back right plant. the plant front left was easiest to get to and got pruned the most. now the tops are taller than the other plants tops. I also took some clones a few days ago. if anyone with scrog exp. reads this i'd love some advise or tips. or to know if i'm doing anything wrong.

well here's an update. i lost the hindu kush x skunk to spider mites :cuss: . i gotta pay closer attention to my girls. i saw it drooping a little and then the next day alot and when i looked close i saw them. i used a doctor doom fogger and then sprayed them all with alchohol and water about 1:1. they seem to be gone but i'm still watching them like a hawk. In its place i put 4 clones of the sensi star. they are rooted but i'm not sure they can take 1400ppm right off the bat. we'll see

the other plant in back is also dieing. there were almost no spider mites on it and none now. i bought it with the other sensi star clones but i'm not sure if it really is. it grew different then the others in veg and it hasn't done much of anything since i put it on 12/12. they're all on the same res in the same room I don't know why it would be so different then the others. the roots look good, i keep the ph at 6, the res temp stays right around 70f, and the room temp never goes above 85.

but on a lighter note the 2 sensi stars upfront seem to be doing pretty good.

well there it is the good the bad and the ugly. I'm still learning.

Looks good to me bro..... I'm impressed with the set up.... I've been looking into doing a dwc grow myself.... I hope i can handle it?? hehe

How did you get your Sensi Stars?
