2 huge ladies bro. Have you been hand-watering the whole time? Easy with 2 females, but putting all that energy into males must not have been fun.

Looking great brother, sucks about the ratio's this time around. Hopefully you get a good pheno. I'm sure it will find its way to you. Keep it up my friend and ill be waiting for some more updates :rasta:

cool strains, i can't wait for some casey jones to hit a dispensary near me! don't worry, the law of averages suggests that you will be pleasantly surprised with how many of your next seeds pop female hehe. i remember going 0 for 10 on one genetic, but was paid back with 7 out of ten on my next two...

Aloha gaiusmarius! Totally stoked on this thread, though I am a bit late tuning in. I've checked out a lot of your older posts... lots of good ideas and opinons. Very helpful. Mahalo

okay... enough "ballwashing"...

The CJ looks like a nice easy manicure. Good looking buds you got growing.
Question: how do you think the CJ would respond to topping?

hi rooted, thanks for the kind words, glad you like :)

hey buttyrekka, yeah i topped a few of them, but in the end i didn't top the 2 females. i only topped the sd because it was too tall. all the best for your run with the JC.

yo drelow31@yahoo., thanks for the compliment man :rasta:

thanks Disguised

heya Even_Steven, yeah man been hand watering all the way through. interestingly enough, the buds have reacted well to the hand watering. this has been a real interesting grow.

hi UmphreyMcgee420, yeah been unlucky with the ratios this time round, i think the high temps at the beginning was probably the problem. i really can't wait to try these fine looking ladies. not too much longer im hoping :)

Hey suckerrepellent, yeah man we will see if i even try the seeds lol, will depend on how they smoke. hoping for the best...

nice one Greyskull, glad to see you made it, better late then never eh?
i can't really say how they would like a topping, it seems a shame as the tops are truly looking great. but most plants respond well to topping if done at the right time.

thanks for all the intrest, posting some pics next.

spectacular!

I am so grateful that you did get a female casey...

:respect:

haha nice, yeah it was a relief not having to start again. i have 2 small veging clones of the female CJ, so will be able to rerun it. can't wait to be a toking on this herb. smells are becoming very interesting and strong now.

you never know maybe when i sprout the rest of the CJ seeds i might get all females. if im lucky, this pheno will do the trick, else ill have to go again with the rest of the CJ seeds.

thanks for dropping by, all the best to you and yours.

to any previous growers of these 2 seed lines...

to any previous growers of these 2 seed lines...

i am wondering if anyone who's grown either of these before, can tell me anything about the phenos i ended up with, by looking at the pics?

so far the SourDiesel looks very much like one of the SDv3 phenos i had last time. when i touch a small resiny leaf i get a wonderful potent odor on my fingers, but when i smell at the actual buds without touching them the smell is very neutral so far. trichome coverage is starting to really look good on this plant.

the CaseyJones has an interesting floral smell, at this early stage, when sniffed without touching and a similar potent oder as the SD when touching some trichomes on a small leaf. i'm very curious to find out what i will be getting smokewise. in fact i snipped a small sample from each plant yesterday, just a joints worth or 2 of each to see where they are heading :)

peace out

the neutral smell comment grabbed my attention. it seemed when i ran a very similar strain (original diesel, which is more like sour than nyc) i found that the buds themselves never really developed a strong smell until i had cured them. at the time i attributed the neutral generic smell to the sweetleaf i was using, but perhaps its a trait that is shared by our two phenos.

Hey man those plants are stellar. Love the look sd gives, I'm running ecsd x straw d and notice the same thing.... when I smell it the smell is faint, but when it's busted up in the grinder there's a heavy smell of diesel... great job man.
