from my understanding NL was a sativa hybrid crossed with afghani and not a pure or mostly Indica... to get NL#1 it appears to have been crossed back to afghani, thus reducing flowering time... the original NL was only available in the clones therefore they needed to be outcrossed hence the various numbers of NL, #5 is supposed to be the closet to the real deal... with regards to 135a I believe this was a particular plant (or line) but a particular plant i'd believe that...

heres the description for slyder

This Indica plant produces dense, crystallized buds with a strong aroma. Originally developed from seeds obtained in Afghanistan, the strain was crossed with a potent Northern Light to make it possible to be cultivated indoors. This variety is superb for indoor production because of low smell and high yields with punch. She produces a strong lethargic stone that induces an imagined paralysis or weightiness to the feet. Persons often will ?slide? their feet instead of lifting them, usually from the television to the kitchen and back again. Hence the name Slyder. Best enjoyed around the house on lazy Sundaze. So have a smoke another toke, and slide into another dimension.

I've also heard that Chronic is related to NL

Hmmm i thought the numbers derived from 11 seeds that were given to an uknown grower in the u.s.a in the 80's out of them 11 seeds 4 were females #1, #2, #5 and #9 those 4 were cloned taken to holland...Thats a story i read cant remember were though?
