Finding Anonymous Grows on Google Earth

I have spent countless hours on Google Earth. The majority of those hours would have to be dedicated to hunting for random grow spots, in California primarily. I search my area around the Santa Cruz Mountains, Humboldt, Mendocino, Arcata, and maybe a few other popular grow towns.

But, nonetheless, I have found nothing really. I know the plants would have to be monsters to even have a chance of detecting, but I figure California is home to monster medical growers.

Has anyone else wasted as much time as me looking at Google Earth? And have you happened to run into any suspected grows? Snapshot and post what you think might be a grow, and PLEASE DO NOT GIVE EXACT LOCATION!

So, I am sorry I have none to post.... but I'm still searching!

I think we need to get you a girlfriend or a grow room...hehe.

I have both, and they each get so damn beautiful in the spring and summer time... My grow room is outside.... I know my site is way too small to see on GE, but I am talking about hunting those field/patch grows with 10 footers. Show the goods....

hahaha, okok, maybe an average of 5-10 hours a week. You can get lost man.... I guess I am wandering if it is even possible....

Well, I've never spotted any grows online. However, I did spot a few plants last year while out for a walk & am proud to say that I left them completely alone....stayed well away from them as they were not mine. Looked like they were just about ready for harvest too.

You can't even make out my house or any real details of my area with google earth. Google Earth is one of the worst map programs, IMO.

What british hemp said is what I think too. The google earth has pictures that need to be updated regularly to see grows progressing or maybe even take photos during the summer but I am sure they didn't do that and the pictures are all pretty old. no worries

So that's where the original G-13 cut is rumored to be from?

Remember American Beauty....

"...This s---t is G-13. It's genetically engineered by the U.S. Government. It's extremely potent, but a completely mellow high. No paranoia."

Anybody out there have first hand experience with G-13?

Seems more urban legend then anything. I find it hard to believe that the Gov could come up with some uberweed that could beat the incredible stains that the seed bank and hobbyist community breed on a regular basis.

Besides I have seen a lot of posts and articles from the medipot world that disparages the NIDA product as grossly inferior in potency and effectiveness to home grown. :muahaha:

I've never used it to find existing grows. But have used it successfully to help find my own spots. The "sunlight" feature is brilliant, lets you find the spots that have the most sunlight in a day, has been totally invaluable for me when deciding between 2 spots. One prospective spot got an extra hour of sun every day in summer, which is info i could have only previously obtained by spending a day at each spot - Cheers google!

And yea, I support the dont snitch, don't steal movement.

Hello all,

I was thinking that if i was going to have a multi-plant guerilla grow, I would try and use USGS maps which show know rivers and streams. In addition, I understnad that there are maps which show the location of springs which flow year round.

Use some personal discretion here. Just because you can look at something, doesnt mean you should. Keep your eyes to yourself.

I work hard starting seeds, growing, transplanting, cloning, watering and fertilizing from March until Mid august and then I have to start thinking about harvest and cure. I cant imagine finding the time to hunt for someone elses crop of weed that would surely be inferior to my fine grow.

If you have the time to look for someone elses grow, you need to grow more plants of your own.
