Just-thanx for all the help i wouldnt have even tried this if it wasnt for your thread and my peeps sendin me that chunk i woulda never even tried to make it.i never even heard of it till this site! now for tryin to make me some oil!peace bro.
i think i like the buzz of eatin it more then smokin yo.i get way higher for longer(and its gotta be better on the lungs).dont get me wrong theres nothin like rollin a fatty or packin a nice bowl and tastin the good ass flavor of the bud,and hackin up a lung .but imma keep me some of this around from now on!
well fam i think i put a lil too much water,i guess it does matter how much water ya put.i was tryin to put enough so the trim would stay a inch to a inch and a half off the bottom of the pan. but i got me some budder comin in the morning
oh well ya live and ya learn.next time less water so i can fit more in a bowl and get a fatter wafer outta each bowl.i used a lb of butter and a qp of trim so it should be some D-D-D-Dayum thang! or atleast some good shit.i used all that much trim because it was froze and prolly much heavier.we'll see how strong it is and see if the amount needs to go up

so i went and got one of my 4 bags of trim.this is the smallest one,and heres the supplies i used minus the rubberbands and the pots.i only did one lb.of budder so i still got alot of trim for tomorrows try.
the butter and trim chopped up
melted the butter into the water.
added the trim.
3 hrs. later its dark and thick.
and bowl it!
ok that was my first go.any tips and shit y'all can throw at a playa would be cool as hell.whats the best size bowls to use? i want thicker cookies of budder when its done.also does it get thicker(the piece of budder)overnight as it sits?

what measurements do you use in your butter recipe? I make butter all the time (well used to). Here is my recipe. If you are using nug a half o will do. Melt down a pound of butter in five cups of water. throw in nugs and put lid on the pot and let it boil and bubble up to the top. Do that like five times then let it simmer on low heat for three to four hours. If you use trim i think you use double the amount or maybe a lil more. for a pound of butter five cups of water is enough. Helps in the draining in the end. Looks like knows whats up i thought i would tell ya how i do it is all. You gonna make sweets with it or use it in real dishes?

the recipe i saw said a oz. of weed per lb. of butter.
in that link i put up,but he never said how much water.(i didnt even measure it just poured it in)and he even uses 7 grams of already vaped weed and 5 grams of bud and his looked fire when he was done yo.
so hopefully mine will knock me on my ass with a qp.of trim.the trim was frozen so i figured i' add a lil extra in there
as far as drainin goes i was just gonna drill small holes in the bottom and let it drain.?
yeah or no?seems like it might be easier with them bowls.

When the butter solidifies it should come out as a whole piece. No need for drain holes. Shit just keep your butter in the containers you hardened them in.

hell yeah i think i will make some right now. i got bags of fine sugar coated trim sittin in freezer.i wont make oil with it all. i bought the butter like 2 months ago and never got around to it. last time i made it like half of it molded in like 2 weeks. use it quickly man. lol

Thats a fat batch of budder bro. Looks like youll be high for awhile. I have some left in the fridge from xmas. Completely forgot about it so it looks like Ill have to make another batch soon. Enjoy da budder bud.

Looks like you could just pull the hardened butter offa the remaining water, dump all the water, clean a container then put all the budda plugs back into one container,nuke it for a minute till it melts and then chill it all again. This way you can have all of your goodies in one container!

How long does that stuff keep for in the fridge? I am looking to make some but I don't have the occasion to eat weed that often as it puts me out of commission for too long. So would it be better to make one big batch with trim and keep it for a while, or freeze most of the trim for later and just make small batches of butter when I can use them right away?

But most of mine was used. I used about 3/4 of my budder for cookies and they kicked my ass. Enjoy man.
