Any opinions on the dr240/240w or dr300/300w? The 4x8s and 5x10s. I've heard some different opinions.

Hey KilledKillerYo, the canopy in my dr150 is 1-2 feet from the light. It is hung as high as possible, with the light on the support bar itself. I have a bunch of tray-tables in there that my smaller plants sit on to maintain the distance.

I would have put a 4x4 runoff-tray in there when i upgraded to the DR150 and not bothered with this tray-table business, but one of my plants is over 5 feet tall so that wasn't an option. Prolly will in a month or 2 though.

this one is the dr 240...it dose glow in the dark but if you line the outside with A.D.F. your laughin!!!

i just ordered my new Galaxy 600 watt / cool sun 6" hood /LU600S/HTL/EN Hortilux HPS bulb/ 2 yoyo light lifters and 25 feet of 6 " duck for $457.54 should work prefix for my dr 120 now got to order a inline fan and carbon scrubber u got got any idea on the best fan and filter for the dr120

I'm thinking about getting the 300 and will be running 3x 1000 watts and I'm worried about it getting to hot in their...How would one go about air conditioning and what kind of unit would you get.

if it where me i take the a/c from its case and bulid a box for it to fit in and inside of the adjutable vents i put a adaptor to go to a 6" or 8" vent and pipe the bad boi right into the bottom of the tent not sure about what btu to get but 3-1k lights i say a 18,000 btu
window a/c should work or if you have a centeral heating and air i rig a adapter to the room a/c vent and run it to the bottom of the tent soon as i get my a/c fixed i am going to do that. one vent comes tru the floor so thats going to be easy to do. one adapter and a short 6" flex pipe

I am planning getting either 2 dr 80's and running 400w in each.

would that be better than running a dr 120 with 2 400w in it?

i am not sure what I want to do, should I run air cooled hoods?

will i need just 1 fan per tent or will i need a intake and exhaust fan...

i was leaning toward 2 dr 80s want to run 6 plants in each in 3 gallon grow bags, 2 different strains. veg around 15-20 days then flower. Sounds like a plan to me?

If you get 2 you can run them on a flip/flop so you can always have something to look at lol could do both in the 120 if you want if you get the 80's though I'm pretty sure they wont fit 6" ducting... so you'd probably need a fan for each...

Yeah that would be a good idea, I think i could pull of using 2 tents.

I found 4" vortech fans for 110 $

add 2 filters thats maybe 200$

then i would need 2 air cooled hoods,
the problem is i haven't been able to find any 4" air cooled hoods.

and another cmh bulb+ 2 hps for flower.

just use a duct reducer for the air cooled hoods. a 6" to 4" reducer connected to the hood would set you up right.

I've been thinking about getting a DR 120 to replace my small HTG tent )20" x 36") but want some more experienced growers to tell me what they think about my idea.

Here's the situation, and my idea
I grow in my apartment, in my bedroom, and exhaust filtered air into my room--I keep the window open 24/7 most days of the year, and luckily, I don't pay for electricity or heat. In the last few weeks of summer, I've been hitting about 90-95F in the tent with a remote ballasted 400w CMH with a batwing reflector. So I'm not terribly concerned about heat.

I would like some more room to grow plants, though, and I was thinking of moving up to a DR 120, which measures almost 4x4.

During hot months (like now!), I would only use 1x 400w CMH and use the center 3x3 of the tent to grow plants in, giving me much more room than I have now.

During cooler months, October-March, I would like to add a second 400w remote ballasted CMH, giving me 2x400w CMH in a DR 120. I would use all the space for plants when 2 lights are in it. Winter months are long and cold where I live, and I can exhaust hot air out my window. I would prefer not to air cool the lights since it blocks the UVB and lowers the overall strength of the lights.

I know I would have to upgrade my current 4" 172 CFM fan to a stronger 6" fan, but is there anything else I am missing?

about to pick up a dr120, wondering what size light people are using , i was thinking a getting a dual spectrum 800w, with a 400 w mh, and 400w hps, or the k, but not sure if thats too much, anyone using a dr120 what light are you using, and what size yields?

don't see why you could'nt run 2 400s in a 120.... seems about right to me.

I was planning running a 1k in a dr 150 gonna cost me about 1200 all in all to get it setup right... my checklist....

DR 150 and 1kw aircooled hood, ballast, bulb 700$ shipped
Vortex fans & Filters 475$ shipped
Other costs- $100 (seeds, soil, bags,ducting)

Total $1200

already got nutes from the last grow, gonna do 16 in 3 galloners if that fits ok in there will have to see.

gonna run the dr 150 with a 6inch vortex fan aircooling the 1k

have another 6 inch vortex on a speed controller, for the tent and filter itself.

im hoping thats the right way to set it up....

i would say 600 is overkill for dr80 a 400w should be fine i was gonna run 2 dr 80's with 400's in them but i opted to run 1k in a dr 150

its the best for vegging, but I would like to use HPS in flower. at least after the first 2 weeks of flower, tehn i would also switch back to cmh the last 2 weeks, for that UV-B....
