OH MY GOD!! what are red knecks across america going to do?? Here they go workin in the factory and now they got the balls to fuck with their beer? Im sure everyone would have no problems ditching their american budweiser and switching it for a nice belgian recipe. I personally like yuengling...and i think your a pussy wanna be american bitch if you drink anything less than coors, or miller lite. Ive drank a stella artois and it tasted like european PISS...id rather drink natty ice which is what most real AMERICANS will be drinking once those fruity belgians take over budweiser!! Here is another piece of america selling out to a global market...pretty soon american will have a small TM next to it :cuss: all APPLE PIES will be made in france from now on too

Sorry... I've drunk plenty of beers in the US and abroad, and american budweiser, coors, and stella are all piss... Some of the best beers are european... A draught heineken in holland beats the hell out of the bottled stuff they serve us here... If you're a real beer drinker there are plenty of DAMN fine micro-brews from one end of the country(USA) to the other... Way more fullness of flavor than the majority of the corporate American beer market offers...

imho...

The name derives from the Bohemian city Budweis (Budweiser meaning "from Budweis" in the German language), which was part of the German HRE until 1806, then Austrian Empire until 1919, when it was named České Budějovice as part of Czechoslovakia (since 1993, then Czech Republic). The long tradition of brewing beer in Budweis started in 1265. In 1795, the German citizens founded a brewery named Budweiser Bier Bürgerbräu. In 1895, Czech brewers followed, founding the brewery called Budějovický Budvar.
In 1876, an Italian immigrant started to brew and sell a brand of beer he called "Budweiser Beer" in the United States.

I'm not sure at what point the urine is actually added to Budweiser, but i hope InBev picks something ess conspicuous or nixes it altogether. No offense Budweiser-jacket havin' folk.

nycdfan042, yuengling is some good beer for being 180 years old! Magic Hat's #9 is a good lager too...As are their samples after samples at the brewery.

Ive only had "Natural Ice" once...that was more than enough. They too I'm sure, include whizz. Piss in...Piss out!

I hope none of this sparks a heated "My this, your that" debate. All in fun - Goat!

It was more of a hostile take over from what I understand. The stock holders were offered more for their stock than it had been in years. They offered something like $70/share for the company and since the family who has run Budweiser only controlled about 4% of the company stock they had no choice. The stock was only worth about $57/share at the time of purchase and so the share holders saw the $$$$ and forced a sale.

It's kinda ironic however since Budweiser purchased rolling rock and moved operations out of rolling rocks home town to New Jersey.

Now back in history Bud was a company who had $$$ and purchased all of the smaller competing breweries to keep from having competition. After prohibition they were one of the only large scale brewers who were able to make it. They took over many many smaller companies and kinda killed the American micro brewers. Now the American micro brewers are making a come back and if you still drink Bud, Miller or Coors that is like smoking BC comersh or mexi brick when you could have some home grown killer chronic.

Guys Budweiser is owned by John Maccain wife daddy or someshit.
Budweiser is a global pale lager brand owned by the St. Louis–based Anheuser-Busch company. On July 14, 2008, Belgium/Brazilian brewer InBev announced that it will acquire its U.S. rival Anheuser-Busch for $52 billion ($70.00 per share). This combination will create the world's largest brewer with brands including Brahma,Stella Artois and Becks in addition to Budweiser. The acquisition means control over America's largest brewer, the No. 2 worldwide, moves overseas. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, Anheuser-Busch has more than 48 percent of American market share with brands that include Bud Light.

All im gonna say is support your local micro brewery. There is a place near me where you brew and bottle your own beer and it ends up costing the same price if not cheaper than premium beers.

"yuengling"...lol that sounds just like a Chinese name

while Bud is not one of my fave beers, I've actually drank a few of them this year,,,Bud is a good choice for drinking on hot Summer days..or for fast guzzling....with it's medium alcohol content, sweet, light tasting, doesn't bloat you or sit heavy in your stomach, with big bubbles has a good burp co-efficient and so is ideal with fast food, bar-b-q's etc..drink it fast and cold in a tall glass.
