i believe NII stands for northern indian indica...i think tom means that over 50% of the NII males are real skunky....if you cross those males with a skunky dc or maybe even a different skunky strain and search through those you'd be well on your way to creating some sort of RKS....i will have my eye out for the extreme phenos he talks about.

as i've said before if i'm gonna believe anyone on these boards it's gonna be tom.

i have a few perfect females for this and i'm looking into a couple others....when my northern indians let the pollen fly they will be hitting them all along with the northern indian females....should be fun....thanks tom your a class act forsure....your generosity and love for the plant is top knotch. :respect:

I agree, if anyone on here is to be believed, it's Tom Hill. I agree with him that northern indian/pakistani/afghani genes are where the truly foul stenches are to be found. The other thing to consider is Colombian sativas can also have a nasty smell too, sorta earthy, so perhaps the Colombian and Afghan parts of Skunk combined in some way to produce a particularly stinyk pheno?

here is some road kill skunk, no sweetness at all , taste or smell......this one is pure raw skunk

This looks like either a pheno of Skunk #1 or a hybrid of it to me.

some ok pics... all are of the 8 week plant i have, except one which was taken at 24 days old (dif plant). second last pic shows a weird satellite leaf that stuck str8 up out of a top bud. had a little cone shaped formation in it sort of - a mutant leaf. i just got another airstone for my seed bubbler set up, so i am about ready to try and germ some more of my old rks beans to get some more phenos.

not to shabby....you can definatly see the indica in there...has nice bud clusters and structure....the rounded tops is what the rks had around here...nice to see it has those.

how do they smell? i'd pop more beans to see what kind of phenos are in there...keep your eye out for a male/males that have that odor we are lookin for.

the pheno goin around here was similar but the superkill here had more leaf and less hairs....but alot of that was the outdoors....grown indoors it did have more hairs.

how long you gonna let it flower for?

gonna go to around 9.5. the mites damn love this strain, i kinda forgot. its been quite awhile. they all climbed on it off of neighbouring plants it seemed. i had to prune some areas. the main top area( there isnt one main top), is pretty clean still. back in the day our skunk was really good around 9.5-10.5ish. this strain looks super small. like an oz dried out super dry looks tiny still. pretty much the densest i've seen. my bubba kush S1 seems a similar denseness, but feels a lot lighter when dry.

it smells really nice. a little fainter than when we first got it, but it smells very skunk cabbagey. no other odor other than i would say, also hashy.

there is no males in the seeds from these. its not crossed, they used to come out of the skunk in pure rooms of it in late flower. selfing with some late male flowers, you know the deal. i grew out dozens a long time ago and all are females.

oh they are s1's huh.....they are always fun i'm about to run through a bunch myself...it's always cool knowing every bean that pops is a girl....keep on poppin them until you find one that was exactly like what you remember....normally you can find a pheno pretty similar to the original if you search enough.

hi ganja.
it is so good to hear a grower of your obvious knowledge back up my own personal findings.
i'm a closet grower and by no means an expert but have grown i would think in excess of 30 strains.
i was sent some seeds from a canadian a few years back with no other info other than the name, chocolate columbian.
i grew some of these out and they were fairly putrid smelling.100%(or as dammit as i've grown) sat
at the time my maincrop was uk cheese/skunk 1 which as we know has a unique odour.
and after a cure,it was very difficult to tell these plants apart in the odour department and only the bud structure and hit could split the 2.
anyway,i made a few beans and they were skunky skunk rather than the fruity side that usually come with crossing cheese
but,i gotta say it, for my money commercially available,in seed,kc brains cristal paradise is as skunky a plant as i've found.
bests to the skunkers

According to R.C. Clarke,(HASHISH! page199)
"Around 1976,Afghani seeds and Afghan farmers to tend them were brought to the Llanos region of Colombia.Hashish was made from the Afghan variety by the hand-rubbed method through at least 1980" ;)

thats wierd....i have chocolate thai that is so similar to cheese that if i handed you a jar of both you couldn't tell me which was which...until you opened it then you'd know which one was cheese just slightly from the odor...their taste is kinda different but also similar at the same time.

good thread this :joint:.....yeah i always remember getting my first bit of skunk in 92 can almost still smell it mmmmmmmm lime green buds and couldnt believe the amount you got at the time lol.......the search goes on

This thread is pefect to make a book, really interesting info to read.

Some time ago i made a thread asking about a comercial strain like to the school skunk. Some guys say me UK Cheese!! i´searching for a very strong odor plant, i would love a real road kill skunk odor, does anyone know a good candidate aviable of seedbank? i´ll make pics and report

Paece and love!!.
