Peace

Funny you remembered that. I may or may not get up there to try that out. We shall see, although I am craving a new flavor, after smoking the same strains for a month now. How are you liking that Blue Whale?

Also I have grown out that SSH cut, and even had other friends who grew it out, and I was not impressed with any of it. Its not that is not a powerful buzz, but in my opinion there is no haze flavor or effect to this strain, and in fact the buzz is kinda depressing. It is one that will not stay in my garden, and in fact I am happy to see it go, who needs bud they aren't going to enjoy?

Hey Smoking Gun-
All that outdoor stuff went into butter. My lemon / lime cookies are now about twice the strength they used to be and just as tasty!
:yummy:

Regarding the SSH- I have tried growing it a couple of times and a couple of different styles. I have not found the trick to doing it right and will be moving on. There are so many awesome genetics to try...why :wallbash:

Damn nice looking P-91. I have been growing it for 3 years and mine doesn't look that frosty.

I just started some land race strains looking for a good CBD producer. I have Mazar-i-sherif and Sherberghan going now, as well as some Yunnan Chinese Indica. Wish I had a camera to document the grow.

I remember when I first saw this thread it made me all happy being from SD and all - then I began to despise you all cause you have AMAZING look plants off of some legendary plants.

Sorry - just cant wait to get back to SD. GT - glad to see I found your new hiding place =)

Pops, get at me or I will PM you if that is OK by you as soon as I get a few more posts. P91 was my favorite and I had even began making some nice crosses about 3 years ago when I had it. it was gifted to me in ready to flower size, but it was so wreaked w/ mites that it was almost near death. I cloned five off it and did the neem routine some quarantine and dutch master products. got a nice couple of cuts rooted 1 for mom and one to run 12/12 fat stinky sticky icky nuggets! I would gladly share the things I know and would like to know a bit about your skills. I like to go really big w/ the P min. 5 gal Aqua farms (old school baby) and I would like to get together w/ you and discuss different x's I have seen and smoked and x's I had made-planned to make. It would also amuse me to know your opinion on a few other strains that are similar IMO, I wonder if you would think the same. I would gladly do a meet and greet w/ you if you would down the line, I will bring the dank and my lunch money and buy you lunch/beers. all my paperwork is in order and up to date of course. let me know. Also are you still running Jedi? my long time friend was running' it and I miss his grow sometimes when I here people talk about the Jedi, can't smoke his bud anymore tho' as some asshole decided to shoot him just short of a year ago. well I went and threw a dark cloud over my mood now thinking about it, I am going to go blaze now.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I am still running the Jedi, as well as the Afghan Bullrider.I had to drop many strains to make room for my CBD hunt, but Jedi and AB will always be in my garden. Get your post count up and I will still be here. I grow soil in anywhere from 2 gal pots to 15 gal, depending on my mood at the time. Have a lot of work to do testing out strains for high CBD content for med patients. Currently running MIS, Sherberghan and Chinese Indica. Next up will be Hindu kush#1, Cripple Creek and Pine Tar Kush. Then Deep Chunk, Malana and Pahari farmhouse. Supposed to have some moroccan hash strains on the way. I think my garden is booked for the next 5 years or so. Hope I live that long!

Pops, I also have a 20+ year old local strain called Jedi but I am not sure if its the same as you mention since I think I've heard you describe it as primarily indica? Mine was bred by the same guy that created Bullrider and the Ota Kush and passed on to a friend 6 years ago when the original breeder retired.

Original lineage has been lost but this one grows VERY lanky if not topped or LST'd and produces rock hard buds everywhere - even bottom buds -what might normally be larf for the hash pile is solid nuggets. Taste and smell are woody, musky but Im not good at describing aroma. The main distinct feature of this strain though is the solid buds all over.

Here's a pic of a young mother thats had a few cuts taken..

Does this sound like what you are running?

Doco, I don't know if the real Jedi is 20 years old. The Jedi is supposed to be a NL x BB strain. All the Jedi that I have seen have red stems. It is a powerful smoke with a distinctive smell, but I am horrible in describing smells. I had heard that the Poway boys had something to do with the Jedi as well as the P-91, but don't know if that is true or not. Just too many rumors in this business. Since I am not a native of this area, I don't know the history. I got my Jedi from OBD when it was still open. My AB came from Jef Tek. I agree that the Jedi has hard nuggets, and can get bushy, but I would never call it lanky. There could be several phenos of it or hybrids that folks call Jedi. I really haven't seen too many people growing it.Sorry I don't have any pics. I don't own a camera.

Here are some of the things I have heard/read about Jedi:

"JEDI- Dutch Passion Skywalker x Dutch Passion Blueberry. Real jedi is superb! Mind i ask where did you get it? What coop?"

"Check out Jason King's Cannabible series. Volume 3 has both Jedi and Skywalker. It says Jedi is clone only, and could be either a Skywalker hybrid or White Rhino x Lions Gate. Mr. King is inclined to believe the White Rhino x Lions Gate theory. He also says it is a Indica dominant strain."

"The Jedi that I get at Hope Net is very much a sativa. One of my very favorites... Nice cerebral high, no crash at the end...
Seems like Norcal and Socal have two different animals with the same name.... would be fun to meet in the middle....might be one hell of a salad bowl...."

"Have a mother of the orginal jeti from san diego I have had it almost 7 years and is by far my best strain always 2+ a light. I can tell you that it is for sure indica. The same crue that came up with jeti along with yota cush and bull rider were also involed with p91 wich is sativa most lickley that is the mix up."

My boy who obtained the cut 6 years ago also claims the bullrider/yota cush/poway boys tie-in. My stems do get red once I start with nutes - the mother in the earlier photo has not had any nutes beyond whats in the Ocean Forest soil and she has red veins. Another point I just thought of - she is a light feeder, about half of normal. I have nuked a mother through over feeding and leaf curl is pretty much normal when she is dialed in during bloom.

Anyway, there is something about her that keeps me holding onto a mother. My boys mom is about 6 feet tall with nothing but stem on the first five feet - he takes a lot of cuts and it looks like a palm tree lol. He has had some amazing strains over the years and will always keep the Jedi. :joint:

I would be more inclined to believe the NL x BB origins. Since Skywalker is Mazar x BB, a Skywalker x Nl cross might be possible.I would doubt the Skywalker x BB, as that is too much BB for this plant. P-91 is also primarily indica, as is the Afghan Bullrider. The true Bullrider is more sativa, with a 10 week flower period. Our Jedi is not cerebral. It has a crushing body stone and is great for nausea, but you won't get much done. All these different statements tell me that there are some different cut or Jedi hybrids floating about, all called Jedi. Mine came from Ocean Beach about 3 years ago, the same time I got the Afghan Bullrider.

>>>sory to hasten the mood,, but its that time of year again>>dea crackdown seaon,, seems like it always happends mid summer and end of the year>> i guess ther trying to get the quotas in??? who knows,, my only fear is iv started to see busts on small growers as in under 40 plants>>iv always kept within my limits because its only for me and my gurl,,strictly personal ... now it seems thats not enough what is the new motto dea has>>""YOU GROW WE SHOW - NO GARDEN TO SMALL"" .....i just read a thread on it in another forum,,,pops knows another one small op that was busted>>and a friend of my cousin who is also patient was popped too,,it just makes me sick.. when will it end?? is this the freedom that is so highly boasted about in our country? when the district attorney told me that i have to produce my own medicine, that it was no longer allowed to purchase from dispensary>> i couldnt belive she would do such a thing...would i have to mix my own horsepilled vicodins and cook up my oxycontins while im at at??? well now there even busting patients..who are just barely trying to accomdate themselfs. it all seems like this has been stemming out of hydro stores>>being watched and followed back,,,1980s all over again... just hope you all stay safe . i have been cutting back the nute feedings slightly to prolong my nute stock so i dont have to go to the store for some time<<my stomach is still cringing at the fact this has become an issue,, just yesterday my dog almost stepped on 2 hypo's in the park>>and theyre bothering with medical patients growing a few plants in a closest,,, please GO FIGHT THE REAL DRUG WAR....AND GIVE PEACE TO THE MEDICAL CANNABIS PATIENTS IN OUR COUNTRY WHO ONLY WISH TO LIVE A PAIN FREE AND ENJOYABLE LIFE JUST AS ANY OTHER.

The ex-husband of a friend got busted and he was growing in a 1 br apt. The attitude in SD seems to be that if you grow, medical or not, you are a criminal and are selling. SD might as well be in another state, as they don't seem to care about the Cali constitution.

Yea see that's just why I honestly never wanted a medical card....I'm sure they have some tie in and can get info that way no???? It always sketched me out either way. Sucks that people get busted, I know a few of my friends have just recently started growing and I am so happy for them but I really don't want to see my friends going down....Sorry to hear about the busts

No, there is no real way for the DEA to find out who is or isn't a patient. That information is like every other medical record of yours, it is confidential information, for no one's eyes but yours and your doctors. So I there is no legal way for any law enforcement agent to obtain these records. Even the people who have state cards are still guaranteed the same protection. And for the most part the state government of California is looking to uphold prop 215.

Well actually there have been plenty of ways for them to access patient information, everytime they raid>>they always take computers and patient files.

1.Doctors
2.Dispensaries
3.Growers

^^^All these people who have your information and if they get arrested or raided,, it is likely their information will wind up in the hands of DEA. However last time I heard there were over 400k patients in california alone. Hopefully, Barack Obama isnt another typical politician inching his way toward presidency through false promises and he actually will do away with these inhumane raids....we can only pray.
