Wow, is this another sign you're getting Old? You all wear bicycle helmets too? Christ, this is the saddest thread I've read on ICM. Youself's from 20 years ago would be shaking their heads pathetically......

I guess I'm just old enough to value my life more, and want it to continue so I can toke for a lotta more years. 20 years ago, yep, I was invincible. And damned near immortal, too. Now I want to do what I can to ensure that I'll be able to do what I love for as long as I live. And I want to live a long time. I still have a lot to do! I don't find it "sad", at all.

I read an interesting editorial on this subject on another site, I can't remember which one though.

The author had been to Amsterdam and was in a coffee shop where a complete stranger had handed him a joint which in the spirit of sharing he had taken a hit off of. The stranger then began hacking up a lung as it were and it turns out he was extremely sick. Now he was a little pissed off at the guy who was so sick but felt he had to share his joint. A little common sense would say if you are sick don't share, but it is part of the cannabis culture so to speak. He went on to say that in this day and age everyone should be smoking their own joints especially in a coffee shop where it's cool but other places as well because the secretive sharing of a joint is the prohibitionist mindset. If we are going to overgrow the world we need to be proud smokers, roll a fattie for everyone.

On a side note I was going to a music festival and picked up some king sized papers because I thought it would be cool to have some giant joints to pass around. That was kind of a mistake. First of all no one had ever seen a joint that big and of course I have never told anyone that I grow so it was hard to explain where I got all the top quality weed and why I had so much. Secondly the joints got way too wet by the time it had gone around a few times. The roach was bigger than some peoples pin joints.... Whoops! With a dozen people sitting around the campsite smoking who knows what you could pick up disease wise. I learned my lesson on that one.

Peace

If it were my wife, no problem, anyone else wetness is just gross. Have a little respect and wipe your lips dry--it's not disease prevention, but.... well, just do it if you're sharing

true most people dont even injoy a joint, say its too small, they burn quick, or boat, or get all limp. well if they didnt suck on it like they are drinking a bottle, or rub globs of spit on it it would be very enjoyable. i love joints but your right, i dispise smoking them with some people.

I can't stand smoking anything but joints. Haven't tried a vaporizer yet.
Pipes just ruin the flavor too fast- and can be even more spitty!

joints are the most acceptable form of sharing smoke in a social setting and is correct weed etiquette imo. but sharing virus will happen on any surface, paper, bong, pipe also. joints and blunts are a waste of good weed imo, so much extra weed burns up in the passing, holding, etc... that's why a room always reeks hard after a single joint, but not too badly after a bong session with friends.

These days I'll donate to a joint but not roll one with my meds, if friends care too partake in my offerings it's always by vape or bong.......

Here's an easy way to fix the problem: Scratch your asscrack visibly...and right under the clothes with one hand....while simultaneously smoking with the other hand. Before the J gets passed, switch hands....
Let's see if they want your J then.

"Nah, I'm good....you just keep that..."

LOL. I've seen my share of drenched, crushed, juiced up joints coming back around like a boomerang. That was all fine and dandy when I was 17. I don't need tuberculosis, hepatitis, sars and all the other shit that people contract these days.
Best to give them the "ass-j"...so then can think twice and let you Bogart. :muahaha:

That's just nasty! LOL!
Thanks for sharing!

...never know who was just "diggin for gold"...

I saw a news report once that said only 30% (or so?) of men (they didn't address the female issue) wash their hands after using the bathroom :moon:

...something to chew on...:yummy:

Tiny hairline cuts on peoples lips are a perfectly good reason not to share. These cuts are tiny, unseen and in most cases people are unaware of their presance.Dont mean to freak anyone out but!HAHA! :joint:
Just a joke never meant to kill the thread!

Never liked joints. Prefer bong or pipe. More efficiant and less hassle. I build bongs out of Mickys big mouth bottles. Or use a glass or wood pipe. Want to try the vaporizer. Usually smoke solo or w/ a close friend. How bout hot knife hash hits?
