How's my no pH grow doing?

I tried to rep+ ya, but I got an error:
asdfqwerty420, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1) you are a newb, dumbass.
2) see number 1
3) ya, 1 really did cover it.

so K+ for using hps and mh side by side. Thanks for trying something I've always wanted to!

asdfqwerty420 thanks for diving into the thread. I don't have a fully open 2 type lamp system although some of the plant(s) on either side do get a bit of light from both spectrums but it's not a lot considering the canopies contain each side pretty much. I have a small dividing wall that separates them.

I once Vegged on the MH side & flowered on the HPS side. From the small dividing wall I have a block out vinyl banner that I can Velcro closed if needed as I do at the entrance to the shed after the metal shed doors there's a wall built as a second doorway & I use another block out there with Velcro.

I've been debating whether to remove the small dividing wall but it came in handy when I had a contractor come down to service the furnace. I can jam all the plants into the shed & it wouldn't mess with any cycles I'm on. Than again I can turn everything off for the serviceman!! He leaned his back on the shed LoL but it's camouflaged & you really don't know whats there. I have it insulated with the foam spray in the cracks etc.

If you have the option of using both lamps in a grow I'd go for it. The more light the better in either spectrum. I'm now considering taking the small wall out when I get a chance. I have used my 4' floro's at times in the shed for additional light in flowering.

I have some new photos of my gals. I still only have the JF blooming, I've yet to clone the Shiskaberries & BB but they're ready I just need to make time. It's not my favourite step in the perpetual No pH grow. I can still see the damage from spraying them but the latest growth is looking great.

My plants have been grown too large & bushy for my 400's & that's just from improper management. I do like the extra lettuce for the ISO washes! I have the perfect growing method, I'm not a perfect grower.

HPS........Day 27ish she was under the MH bloom for 25 Days

Good morning It's feeding time.
38360ttttt.jpg

I've trimmed the crap out of her. She fits around the walls nicely.
38360ttttttt.jpg

The roots are ready to jump out of this pot. Pro-Mix & Fish Emulsion.
38360tttttttt.jpg

I put in a Christmas tree JF to fill the gap. It'll be interesting to see a main cola.
38360ttt.jpg

This girl just went under the MH for Bloom yesterday, she took a tiny burn on a leaf you can see it if you look on the left down from the duct, she's full of it now. Day 1

Here's the Veggers, we have some JF/NL/S, Shiskaberries & Blueberries

It's going to be a great summer.

I only recommend the Triple Mixes for No pH grows. That would be either Sunshine Mix 4 or Pro-Mix BX or HP those have been tried & tested. Others say the Sunshine Mixes are the same 1-4 with less Perlite the lower the #.

I never had to pH when I used potting soil or when mixed with Pro-Mix either. I've used recycled medium too. My mentor would tell you to pH if you use soil. So ignorance was a blessing for myself that round. As to a direct answer to your question I don't know.

I took some clones of my BB & Shiskaberries on Sunday.
I'm keeping track of them.
I put them right into the Pro-Mix under the dome.

This is one of 2 Blueberries
I like this one it's bushy I have it tied over the pot is bottom left corner.

We shall see I need more room, lights action.

Still looking great there sirgrassalot. I haven't done any pHing my in grow yet aside from using a standard dye based color code thing from gH. I just aerate tap water with an airstone and add 2-3 tablespoons of dolomite into my pro-mix and things seem groovy. I also would like to note I think most of us on here fully understand the desire to expand...I'm going to be running a 600 in flower and I'm already craving a return to the 1200 setup... Just need more money to buy new filter, portable AC, two new light systems with SS2 hoods...blast! I digress but the garden looks fantastic. Keep up the good work. Do you add lime to your promix? The grow shop dude told me it would also help longevity and stability of the medium if you plan to reuse it as the buffering capacity it comes with is somewhat limited.

Peace,

Skylined thanks for the compliment. I haven't used any extra lime in my grows. The Pro-Mix has two limes added already & sufficient for 2 grows minimum I've experienced. Lime reacts for up to 3 years. My mentor (aka TIME medical grower) changes it after 2 grows, so adding lime at that point may be added insurance if you're recycling longer than 2 grows. A 3rd cycle would have to be done for the exact answer. I have a bag of dolomite somewhere??

You can add lots of things to a mix but I can't see my plants growing any faster or larger in my garden, gawd damn Triffids once they get going these cannabis plants are. I'm glad yours is working out for you.

My clones went very well, I had one die it was a male Shiskaberry.
A couple of these are the BB I'll need to cull.
3836010.jpg

I just put this Shiskaberry in under the MH.
She's about to be fed & sexed.
A very nice plant I'd be happy if it were female.

Here's my other, smaller BB still vegging. I have it cloned already.

Looks like the way you set up your flowering plants you could take off that para drop that bulb right in the middle and enjoy the more weight you would get from a vertical grow, every thing would blow up bro. Just an idea, great growin and thanks for sharing...ndn

ndnguy hey no problem on some friendly advice & Thanks for dropping in. Some of my plants have been grown too large for my space. I had that big gal tied back into the shape she's at in veg when I was battling the mites. She was first bloomed under the MH for the first few weeks. I usually have a plant dead centre of the grow directly under the bulb & will have again once I get the big one out of there. I also raise the plants when needed so I can fit some smaller ones in with the over sized.

Anyhow the para acts some what as a funnel for some of the heat. I have an extension duct from my in line fan hovering over the top opening of the para sucking it out into the filter. It would be extremely hot in there even though I could still place the duct above the bulb both would be in the way & not as efficient removing heat.

I can keep the plants on the opening side closer to the bulb since I have the small fan blowing heat the other way. I can also get bleaching if they're too close. More light would be the best thing I could do to improve my grow.

Some photos for your viewing pleasure.
I axed another male Shiskaberry &
replaced it with my last BB growing.
That leaves me with one Shiskaberry in veg to sex.
I'll harvest the old gal next week.

Hey Thanks for the K+ Bigtimer7
I just harvested this one big gal.
I may also give up on getting new females until the fall
when it gets cooler?? It just doesn't seem right all males
but now that I think back I always started my seeds in the fall
& had plenty of females.

Wow, awesome pics sirgrassalot. I like the style of the plant that just kinda droops over the pot, reminds of a certain bonsai tree style. Nice coloring on the plants and a good harvest.

You must spread some reputation around before giving it to sirgrassalot again.
