Killer Pink Planther!!

There's a cousin of the Pink Planther, she's called Princesa, ACE and Cbg Purple Chitral x Bubblegum, cross made by Random00.

British your Purple Afghan rullez!
Those buds look so lush and chunky, and what color.

Here is a little Purp Ghani I grew.

Whatever

It's a cross a friend did...Kali Mist x purple mutant Early Riser. The colors have nothing to do with temps. Mom looked just like this. I grew mom from a cut but never the cross but handed out a few hundred seeds.

as regards to the poll , if all weed was purple but had the same smells and tastes as all the green ones i like then i would prefer purple , it just looks like jahs flower , so pretty in purple .... the thing i have with purple strains , is there high or lack of it .... the more purple the more lavender smell and taste , purple power shit taste you get , i would love potent purple , to date imo only south american sativas that are purple or blacks as we call some of the bud, cause its almost black .... have the colour and the high to match that i have personally seen .....
please dont any one respond telling me gdp and this and that purps will mud me up good stylie , not me a dis respect no one , just wanna stay irie and not get into stuff i have all ready covered in my mind , i know there are potent strains that are purple ish , that get me hammed , but they are not true purps , they just look quite purple or pink , like my shimla pink , she dont have that lavender thing , thats what i tried to breed out of the krowberry , and is pretty strong .
but i have found the more purple you try to bring out in breeding the more the lavender smell and poor high comes back , its like purple =s lavender . the only way to avoid this let down is to know for sure , you are using landrace purple sativas , like say highland bangladeshi
no lavender and smells like normal weed , but is just purple , i havnt got this plant but seen it in friends photos from my local curry house , he can get them for me cause they grow on his land back home , nice man lol

i want to try ganja pashes purple afghan , if it dont smell like typical purps , ie lavender ..
when i see people going mad for purps ,. no disrespect , but i instantly think they are light weights , specially when they say its really strong lol...
cause all the purple indicas and hybrids that i have smoked are far from potent , some have an amazing waking up effect , that is nice in its self , but not potent ....

any one else agree or am i a purple basher lol ....

Hi

nice picts everybody !!!

the more purple you try to bring out in breeding the more the lavender smell and poor high comes back , its like purple =s lavender .
That's an interesting point Ganja Baba ! I agree, but i've found that it's not always like that, it can be more fruity with berry taste.. I had a purple hashberry like that.

But most purple i grow turned with a taste a can no longer smoke, the lavender taste...Since i had 3 purple phenos of Bubblicious which turned purple, about 180g to smoke, purple lavender taste is not for me anymore.

the only way to avoid this let down is to know for sure , you are using landrace purple sativas , like say highland bangladeshi
That could explain why my hashberry has not this purple taste... Maybe some people on ic used to bred purple could have an explanation ??

Also i've smoked a few berry strains, most of purple phenos i smoked came from normally green strains...
A friend of mine just got a Sweet Blue Joint Project, Blue pheno, i'll take some picts... The smell is nothing like purple, more berry fruity...

i would like to learn more , and find out what other breeders think about the purple .... i would also like to ask or do a poll on the purples they have and the flavour i.e. does it smell of lavender, yes lavender ,some lavender, no lavender at all , no lavender at all meaning in no way does it smell at all like a typical purple strain, i would like to see how many carry the lavender smell and high .... cause some of the pics on this thread look amazing , i am talking the really striking purple buds ,some are so purple its unreal , i know peeps likes to big up their pups ,but i would like people to be honest , as this topic could really be use full in saving a lot of time in the breeding of a new purps , if any of them dont have the lavender smell at all and are true and deep purple , then it would be good to track the gene pool of the plant if poss and isolate the ones needed , with out adding any of the indica , i am not sure if all the purple indicas are related , i think imo they all must of come from the same landrace purple indica , and all almost every purple indica is related to that, one indica family ....

i know there are purple land race indica in more than one country , but they to could have originally came from the same gene pool , people travelled even 2000 years ago lol , even when naturally crossed many times in the wild with none purple strains , the purple trait would come up if the climate changed over the years , under wild selection the genes that survive would be the ones that best in numbers suit that environment , then the purple trait could become dominant again . as it is necessary to do so to survive …
i want to know if purple indica in its most purest form =s lavender
And is it generally considered an afghan , and if not do the other land race purple indicas share the lavender smell , and weak high ?

could you do a poll titoon , as i dont know if i would be able to reply or even keep up enough lol .. and im a newbi here and dont know my way around yet .
many thanks titoon ,

purple basher. :p

You said we have already covered it, and we have. There is a lot of pot that is just as you said, purple but with that lavander/spicey taste, very low resin content, and mild potency. Then there is the california purples, which are elite heriloom lines that have nothing to do with the majority of what breeders sell as purple: purple power, twlight, etc.

Many folks will germinate seeds from a breeder who uses a purple male skunk(Nirvana seed co.) and select one of the purple plants. While they are pretty to look at, they fit into your description of weak purple pot. I am willing to bet this purple afghan is of that category, no disrespect.

if you have not smoked or grown the california medical purple family, you are missing out... Erkle, Granddaddy, Purple Kush (sr71). any other purple pot is a sideshow.

I agree..........I am a heavy toker and just had some GDP yesterday.......GDP, PE ,and the PK(sr-71) are great smokes period.

I feel dif about the mendo purps........all looks with that incensy smell. And not potent or real fun to smoke.

The other above three are potent grape pot.........done. :joint: I got the PK and GDP flipped now..............PE on its way but im not keeping all three......gonna do a test run on each and then make a pick.

Hey Nep..........how do you feel the GDP stacks up the the others PE and PK? Is the yield increase sufficient enough and potency up there compared the the other 2 "lesser" yielding cuts?

i have tied gdp the purps an they are very potent , but i dont class them as true purps but crosses of them , all though they dont have the dull high and lavender smell , when crossed these traits seem to come out ..
which makes me think , they have been bred well but are from the same lines .... i want to know if the real real deep full purples all have the lavender smell .... i know there is a lot of potent purples , but i am yet to smoke a really strong, purple as they come indica ....

what do you think is the strongest outta the ones you have smoked or listed above , i think i will revisit the purple family , as what you said is some what true , all the purple power and the likes have put me and alot of people of , but i still smell the lavender in the american purple strains to some extent .... and gdp and urkle to me dont seem to be as purple as some on this thread .... they look so good in fotos , i loved taking pics of the krowberry ...
cheers mate

What?...a thread im not in yet huh???

OK IM IN HAHAHAHA!!! :rasta:

Well BH,i agree and then again if you cali boy's
would be kind enuff to throw me a killa purple cut!!!
THen i would have a better understanding hint hint..

No really in my 31 years ive grown hundreds of purple plants..
MOST are bunky but i had some very trichome coated many many
times too.....again still i prefer GREEN WEED as it always has the true
flavor of WEED!!
Like to say that the purple genes are NOT a degenerative thing?
They are how ever a deterent on flavors most the time ive seen..
RIGHT NOW as i type im smoking a very good colored purple DP blueberry!
YOu probly seen it in flower pix forum, she is good but not a sweet blue?

Some how to agree with Ganja, the coloring at first cut can taste ok....
After a cure the flavors i have experienced are, musky, leathery, bitter, sour,
ashy, earthy, woody, but never lavender that wouldnt be bad id say!!!
Anyways a few pics to go with the thread of what im smokin now!

Not to bad for DP id say......

Have some hard assed purple deep chunks in my gallery way back someplace!
STILL i am not happy with purple pot, someone show me real flavor from it??

Ok so we're on page 10 in my book and still there are people joining the thread, without having read the damned f**king thing saying that purple sucks. What is the point of bringing arguments to my thread that have been discussed and tackled so many times before. just go back and read it! its not even like you have to search through threads, just take some time to take in some information. I didn't post all my research here for nothing numb nut.
