Move to Nor Cal

Meth is common on the west coast, but crime really isn't that bad in Nor-Cal once you get north of the bay area(Oakland, San Fransico, San Jose, etc).

I'd suggest checking out Mendocino county, Humbolt county, or if you can stand some hot summers I'd check out the north valley around Redding. Get away from the big cities, rent/real estate is rediculous in the bay area, get out to the smaller cities, further away from the bay.

All and all, I'd suggest moving to Oregon, violent crime is low here, and less than a ounce brings no jail time, and we also have a medical marijuana program here, but not as good as Californias in many ways.

2 lbs per plant outdoors is not hard to do with an indoor veg. For real fun veg a plant indoors in a 20 gallon tub for 6 months then plant out doors!

Just to let you know, these small towns in norcal....i.e. garber and the like...have no available jobs. You will stick out and everyone knows everyone, unless you have a job it'll be obvious what you do and if you live deep off the grid, you better be up for protecting yourself, because home invasions are pretty common up here. The locals will eat you up for breakfast. Think i'm jokin, move there.

Backcountry, I dont know if you have ever been to eureka (biggest city in humboldt 28,000) but that place is far north of the bay and has a obvious meth problem.

I've been all over Nor-Cal, and I live in southwest Oregon, and the whole region has "a Meth problem", but I've never had it be a problem for me, meaning it has never negetively affected my life. Its around, but it doesn't affect me with any crime, you know what I mean? Compared to the larger metropolitan areas of the west coast, its smaller towns even with the "meth problem" are still much more peacefull and safe.

More the problem is that the highly populated regions of California just have a crime problem in general(thats what happens when tons of people all live on top of each other), I used to live in the wine country once upon a time, and my family left because it was all just getting too crazy.
We moved to Oregon, and despite the supposed "meth problem", I have never been a victim of a crime either violent or non-violent in the nearly 30 years we have been here.

here is a link I read about humboldt county, the cops, the rippers, poor living conditions and hard times...

http://www.3ammagazine.com/politica/2002_jun/pot_county.html

I would love to live in humboldt county but it seems like its pretty rough there espically if you are from out of town, lots of armed robberies and bad luck it seems like....maybe about 10% are making mad $$$ and living off what they grow the rest are just barely getting by... no jobs in the area it seems.

If I had the money to set up a grow or 2 and and outdoor crop I would but money is tight for me on the east coast I could only imagine the setup costs for setting up somethin like that. Plus some people I've never met in my life could come rob me...

Are there no towns with jobs that are hard-drug free in Nor Cal?

What about Sonoma ? Anyone know anything about that area?

Stay outta placer county , some of tha stiffest penalties in tha state . Traveling north , they have cheaper land and cooler climates .
Tha foothills are nice but still get blazin' in tha summer , bout 100* . And Tahoe stays cool in tha summer but freezing and would'nt wanna drive up and out in tha winter .
Finding property near Castroville , Hollister , they have some nice climate near Monterey fer fair prices (whatever that is in Cali)

I agree Steel I'd just add a few places like Watsonville and Aromas both are in Santa Cruz county which has great cannabis limits.

Hollister gets just as hot as Redding in the summer.

Backcountry correct me if I'm wrong , but hasn't San Jose been 1 of the safest cities in the country for a few years now???? I was born and raised there and it's a nice place to live. I just didn't like all of the traffic and people anymore so we moved south.

Just move north of SF and it's all good pretty much... SF is too expensive and LA is too hot in the summer... less tweakers n gangs and as far as people liking east coasters it doesn't really matter as long as you are not a dousche... there's much worse shit to deal with...

Well I guess that depends on what you description you use for "city", I'm pretty sure the crime rates in my mostly rural area are much lower than San Jose, but perhaps compared to other Metroploitian areas, San Jose isn't bad for overpopulated area. Still, I just believe any area with that many people all squeezed togther is bad news on all fronts.

strained- Sonoma county = Bay area........... a few more miles north you have Mendocino county, thats the start of the real Nor-Cal.

Sonoma = $$$

I mean you could wash dishes in one of the many restaurants in Sonoma! Or pick grapes?

Right now is a seriously tough time for Americans...Moving won't solve your problems, especially to California. Unless you have an idea for employment, moving from one coast to the other so you can grow pot sounds ridiculous. If you have a nice trust account, I'd say go for it, other than that plan it out and get ready for even tougher economic times....

 Hey Backcountry I agree with you 100%. That's why 6 years ago we got out of that overcrowded mess and moved south to the country.

It's been all over the news for years that for Metro cities san Jose was ranked as the safest city in the country. That's all I was saying. I hate people especially when they live right next door to me.
