yet if you read his post his question is justified. great mother plants do not aways show their traits in their offspring.milo_xxx said:LOL. Sorry the title sounds like a joke.
IME elite clones make VERY good crosses.

GET MO said:How has yalls experience been with crossing elites to make seeds?
do you find quality traits to be more recessive or dominate, or is it about even?
Brastaman said:Maybe you could help me understand what YOU consider "elite"? maybe a list of some strains you had in mind to cross?
the problem with elite genetics is that elite is a very subjective term. There is no official list of elite clones or even a standardized criteria for predicating something as elite. It may help you to get an answer if you ask something like "is extreme potency generally a recessive or dominate trait." even the answer to this question will be subjective and not hold true all the time but may at least give you a general consensus to the nature of a certain traits recessiveness or dominance.GET MO said:'Elite'- Powerful clone-only breed, i.e. Grandaddy Purple, Strawberry cough, Purple Kush, OG Kush, GodBud, Headband, Sour d, Purple Urkel, ect. ya catch my drift?
REZ: Good lookin man, by recombinant selection you mean mixing the best with the best over and over for the traits your lookin for right? Thats what I was thinkin..... Breed a bunch out, keep the best, breed um again, keep the best, breed um back to the mother, keep the best, ect. By best I mean ones that most resemble the traits your trying to stabalyze....
