I really think the stickies at the top of this forum need to be updated. Theres lots of useful info in some threads in here in the micro forums for new growers just starting out. Everyone is sure to pick up some tips

Just a few threads to get us started. Feel free to add anything else you guys thinks deserves to be seen

edit: if you browse through the 42 pages in the micro forums. many questions are repeated over and over again, a sticky might cut down on these repetitive threads.

I agree, I think Pontiacs DIY link-o-rama should exist here as well as the equipment forum, as micro is 99% DIY. I can't actually think of any off the top of my head from micro section, but I'll be back in a few, I know I'm missing some.

I think it's a fantabulous idea. We should compile a list and then figure who the hell we need to talk to that can make it happen since there's no Micro-Mod.

CFL Club an DrBud Perpetual SOG an a Bongasaurus LST thread!!! need a Scrog thread, LST Thread, SOG Thread, CFL Thread an a Perpetual Harvest Thread for grow styles then PC Building thread, Small Box Building thread, Large Box Building Thread (still micro just bigger then the usual 2x2x2 box), Rubermaid building Thread, an a HPS Secruity Light build thread. those are some stickys we need in the Micro Section!

The sticky's do need to be updated, or at the very least added too.
This forum has IMHO some of the best idea's around. Folks pushing the limit with space, and lighting, not to mention ventilation.
Years ago I started using CFL's just for cloning when I was partnerd up with someone. This guy has been growin for something like 25+ years. When I showed him the CFL's that I was using just for cloning he almost had a heart attack. He couldn't belive it! Then over time I just started to use them strickly for clone/veg. I've gotten rid of all my MH, and I have to say I'm not one bit sorry! The amount of space that I saved is incredible! Not to mention the electric bill!
I've heard someone on here say...." CFL"S are the way of the future". I have to agree. With that said this forum has plenty of info to share that even a grower who's been at it for 25+ yrs. could learn from.

I agree. Great idea...especially for Dr.Bud's thread. One for taking out rivets would be handy too...

Hey Bongasaurus, would you mind moving all your links to your first post?
It'd make them easier to get to; functionality, yay!

You could keep editing the same post over and over to incorporate new suggestions, like the *cough* Panopticab or Spindle Cloner in my signature *cough* *cough*

Good work though, the Micro Stickies definitely need some love...

Awesome idea! The Micro section really does need a sticky list, and I must say that I am truly honored to have my Nanomachine grow thread included among them. That growbox now belongs to a happy fellow in Australia but I still think of it often and ponder making another one if I ever have the funds to do so.

Anyway, great job on the sticky list so far! Think perhaps the PC Case Growers Club should be included among them?

I believe the preceding to be a worthy candidate. But of course, I'm biased. :D

I think Micro Growing in general is the future, at least for the connoisseur or heavy user. It's about to the point where (depending on your locale, but for most of us anyway) it's easier to maintain a small, stealthy personal grow than to find/maintain connections and pay ridiculous prices for sub-par pot. And that's not to mention the risks inherent in "black market channels." No longer is it necessary to have a big room with big lights using lots of electricity . We can do it quietly ans unassumingly in the corner, with little to no fear, and insignificant power consumption. And we are the ones refining the techniques and setting precedent. It's beautiful. :rasta:

I first came to this forum looking for a bonsai'd mom/clone PC cab for stealth reasons. Falling prey to a misconception that it was for VERY small personal grows. Maybe therein lies the rub...mid to high wattage setups seem to be the norm and small wattage grows are not given the credit they deserve. But I agree wholeheartedly, there needs to be at least some of these threads stickied...if for no other reason than to show off the ingenuity of some very smart people.

I concur with all of the above haha. The ingenuity of the people on this forum is incredible. I never thought i'd be doing a DWC micro grow, or even a grow period for that matter... But thanks to Mr.Micro an the start of his nanomachine i took up the calling and was even able to throw my $.02 into the mix. I definitely think alot of these threads need to be stickied... Don't we have our own personal moderator for this section of the forum? If not.. We definitely need one so they can sticky threads that have received lots of recognition and ingenuity instead of just the same questions over and over again... Although I seriously doubt it'll stop all the noobs from posting up ;)

Wanted: One Micro Grow forum moderator who has low self esteem and an excess of time (i.e. 25 hours a day/eight days a week) for abuse beyond all human endurance. Pay based upon what can be collected at any street corner in any city in the world with no chance of advancement and no future other than divorce, depression, and loneliness. No experience necessary, as we will train, but intimate knowledge of mental institutions, C.I.A torture cells, prostate exams, and the occasional tax audit helpful.
